Luckily, the view is gorgeous and it felt perfectly safe even at night. When we arrived, Mcleods was filled with locals and everyone was so gosh darn friendly! The wait after ordering was no more than 15 minutes, then they handed us a giant bag and we realized we may have made a mistake....we each got our own order of fish and chips and the servings are gigantic! I mean, I'm not complaining as it was delicious, but we certainly could have shared. We also got a battered pizza (yeah, that's right, fried pizza!). Even after the walk back to our lodging, everything was still nice and hot. There is no seating inside so this is strictly a take-out joint, and the only parking available is on the street, though the restaurant was quite busy on our visit and the street was not too crowded. Prices are incredible and if we had had a longer stay, I am sure we would have frequented Mcleods more than once. If I lived in Inverness it would be a go to spot for sure!

Served with a large helping of thick cut chips, salt and vinegar applied on request before being wrapped up in the semi-traditional white paper. Good to go. I haven't tried the burgers and pizza offerings. the customers on a Friday afternoon were non-stop with half of them coming in for the soft serve ice-cream cones. Gave some of my order to relatives that just arrived on the train and they quickly made off with the rest of my meal, saying they were the best they have had so far. We already had lunch but the fish here looked so nice and crispy, so we ordered some to take out and enjoy at the harbour. It was as good as it looked. Crispy, hot and fresh. Tender inside. Real good Fish. We also ordered some fried shrimp on the side which were equally good. A nice little place in a lovely village. Be sure to give it a try when in the area.
