Everyone who I spoke with when booking the event was so nice and helpful. Our driver, Phil, was so fun and welcoming. He made sure we knew everything (music, lights, temperature, etc.) we needed to know before the ride started. He was right on time and very responsive by text before and during the ride. The entire experience from initial contact to final drop off was stellar. I got a quote from another company, which was more than double what Cruise-A-Palooza quoted. I also liked that C-A-P's quote included the bus, driver, fuel, mileage and tax. (The only thing it doesn't include is the driver's tip.) The bus was really modern, super clean, had a screen (in case you wanted to stream anything) and a great blue tooth speaker system we connected to. Barb in the office was so communicative ... we never worried the bus wouldn't show, and Nathaniel, our driver, texted when he was on the way and was great all night. To make matters more confusing, the Budget rental kiosk was closed and customers were redirected to the Avis counter, so this review is really based on our interaction with the Avis staff handling Budget rentals. While I understand that staffing shortages can create a stressful work environment, customer service should not suffer as a result. The supervisor came across as rude and visibly stressed, and another employee seemed to take personal offense whenever customers expressed frustration about the long wait or the lack of organization. Rather than showing empathy, the staff appeared defensive and dismissive. The entire process felt disorganized and unnecessarily frustrating. Based on this experience and the poor customer service we received, I would not choose to rent from this company again and would not recommend it to others.
