Extremely juicy birria! We got the trio combo which consisted of the birria taco, quesa taco, a mulita, and the consomme. The meat was really tender and soft. Everything was delicious with our favorite being the mulita. The items are given in a takeout container even though we ate in. It might be because everything was a bit messy. They do give paper towels to help but beware of the juices coming out of the taco. The difference between the birria taco and the quesa taco is that the birria taco comes with beans and the quesa taco comes with cheese and is supposed to be crispy. It was hard to tell if it was crispy since the items were kinda of piled on top of each other and the juices leaked. I called in my food the person on the other side sis not get my name or an ETA but she did give a total of my order. I was afraid we were going to have to wait a long time for the food since it was so early in the morning and they had just opened, but we ordered a way expecting a long wait. I personally think consommé should come free at a Birria place, but here we are. There are many things on the menu but the number one is the Birria Quesadilla. Came here with my cousins after my brother recommended we try it out. We don't live by Santee but figured it might be worth the trip out there. Quesa taco /taco dorado: meat was definitely delicious! This was my first time trying beef birria and it was very flavorful. I wouldn't say salty, but it was dangerously close. Tacos were falling apart, so it made it pretty messy to eat Birria ramen: again, the birria was delicious. However, the noodles were just ok. If I could take the birria/broth and add my own noodles, it could be perfect. Added the lime for it to cut the heaviness and that helped it a lot. Bone marrow: this was alright. I usually like bone marrow but maybe this just needed to be seasoned. Probably wouldn't order again unless I was specifically craving it. Horchata: super thick, not as much cinnamon. This got a mixed review from my and my fiancé. I didn't like it as much due to the consistency but my fiancé loved it and happily drank the rest of mine. Overall: bathrooms are clean and food was quickly delivered after ordering (like within 5-7 minutes). Something I didn't like was that while the woman at the register was reiterating our order to us, she stopped to answer the phone and took someone else's order so I just stood there for three minutes, waiting to pay. She then went over my order again and had extra things that I did not order that I had to correct and when she gave us our food, we were missing an item. I love all the extra lime they give you on the side!! I get all the hype and why this place has such good reviews. Those small hole in the walls really are the best. We got 3 birria, 3 carne, 1 queso beef birria, and chips and guacamole. I love that they offer beef birria vice goat. BF loved the guacamole. I thought it was lacking a pinch of salt.
