Now I had no previous knowledge of Razor MD or of George, so naturally I was a little nervous getting a haircut without checking what my fellow Yelpers had to say.. but his confidence really put me at ease. They are a family shop, his uncle and nephew also own the place. George commutes every day from Flushing so you have to commend that kind of dedication. Not only is he super skilled with a pair of scissors, razor, and buzzers, but he is both super efficient and very funny. He reminds of my grandpa's barber, who still cuts to this day over in Queens. Old school, charming, and laid back. We both talked about life, our backgrounds, relationships, you name it. To top it off, he even styled my hair better than I ever could! I had a work dinner to attend to later that evening and to be honest, I didn't even go home to shower as I didn't want to ruin it (plus there was no need as he did a great job cleaning any loose hairs up). I'm brand new to the area, having just moved to nearby Baldwin Harbor, so it feels good to have gotten so lucky, so fast. Thank you George for coming out of your store to invite in me. I bought a Groupon for Coolsculpting and it was one of the few Groupon's that allowed you to get your abdominals done for the $600 price tag. Most of them only offer a small area for that price, like under the chin. Unfortunately when I got there, they gave me the whole song and dance that you need to have two different paddles for each side of your abdominals and even though they have one large paddle that would go across your entire lower abdominals it wouldn't work and also the larger paddle would be double the price. So ultimately they wanted to charge me $1200 with a $50 discount for the abdominals. If you call almost any cool sculpting place oLong Island or in Manhattan, you will get the exact same price of 1200$ for your abdominals...without a Groupon! Don't offer the deal if you're not going to honor it! Update: in response to your comments... You keep repeating , "lack of knowledge, lack of knowledge"... I called and spoke with a number of different places so I knew exactly what I was getting into. I also know that cosmetic procedures are not cheap. But again, as stated... I specifically asked about the abdominals! you offered the Groupon for 600 saying yes we do abdominals... you never mentioned anything over the phone that there might be two paddles or that it depends on the length of a person's torso (which didn't apply to me anyway) or any of the stuff you listed here. If that's truly how it is and you're telling me that you give that Groupon to some people then I'd love to see others who have done the procedure for 600 posting on here. They are one of my go-to locations to order online prints for pick up and they always do a stand-up job. I even had two custom shirts (one sweatshirt and one t-shirt) sent here and Walgreens knocked them out the park. My most commonly printed item is a 20x30'' poster board and while other locations have had challenges in the past with that specific size, they are always ready on time here at Freeport Walgreens. In fact, if I send it in the night before at 8-10pm, they are almost always ready by noon the next day. From my days working at a pharmacy when I was younger, I know how tiring and grueling it can be. So to the staff here, thank you for being so reliable and for all the work you do day in and day out!

She insisted that I perm along with bleaching. Now that's too many chemicals for a person's hair ( even an experienced hairstylist would know that to not bleach and perm at the same time). I told her I didn't feel comfortable with her doing that, especially being that I have alopecia in my family. She kept insisting to do both. So I gave in. As she started putting the bleach in my hair after perming it, my scalp immediately felt like it was on fire. ( this should definitely not happen bc after this situation I bleach my own hair and never have any burning sensation, maybe tingling) after telling her my scalp was burning. She told me that's normal waited a few more minutes then washed it out. She knew my hair was damaged and cut it real low so you can't tell. She also flat ironed it which made my hair even weaker. I waited a few days & went to curl my hair to make the style look fresh, and my hair immediately burned and fell off. When I told her this and went to her, She told me it's not her fault , adamant that it's ok to bleach and perm at the same time, that my bald spots aren't that bad and how I'm crazy. She even started talking about my personal life which she now absolutely nothing about. After she treated and did my hair, she even jabbed me in my arm saying " see it's not bad" that was very inappropriate, because what if I punched her back. She is extremely unprofessional, and evil because she pretends to be an empowering woman of God, but how if you can't even take accountability that you made my hair fall out and didn't care about the integrity of my hair and my well being . I'm unable to download the pics of my bald spots and how she damaged my hair, which must be God sparing her.

ANXIETY, all the ANXIETY. I recently went here as I need to have a quick ear check up. The few…read morepositive reviews and the nice receptionist over the phone made me feel like this was the right choice...yes, not so much. Per many dr. offices I called in advance from my car. They told me I could come up and up to me if I wanted to fill the paperwork in my car or in the waiting room. I should have opted for the car, I will take personal responsibility for this. Regardless though, there were questionable covid practices. Please see my list below: -There were quite a number of people in the waiting room. There were no markers on chairs on where to sit. I simply stood and moved around the whole time. At one point there were so many people in there you could not sit 6 feet apart! -There was a patient in the room who kept opting to wear his mask on his chin. I had to ask the staff twice to speak to him. They seemed uncomfortable doing so- like wait, you should keep all of us safe? -While they took temperatures, it was ONLY once you were to enter the back area. So wait, you're telling me I can stay in the waiting room with sick people for 45+ min and then BOOM you figure out they have a temperature before getting to your area? -The wait was 45+ minutes...like COME ON. Give a heads up, tell patients to wait in their car. - I honestly cannot even remember if they had hand sanitizer out! Luckily, i had my own..along with my own pen and mask. At least I can protect myself if a drs. office cannot. I did not find safety was their top priority. I still have much anxiety a few days later and will likely get myself tested to be on the safe side. Thanks, but no, thanks. I will not be back in 1 year for a check-up. I shall be finding a safer and clean practice.
