I ordered a large cake for a colleague's going away party. She loves everything 80's so the cake was 80's themed, chocolate with raspberry filling and buttercream icing. They also do treats and Lisa very kindly provided some to support one of my son's wrestling tournaments - so she gives back to the community too!

I ordered a cake for a luncheon we had at a nice restaurant afterwards. Everything worked out fabulous. Nydia was great! Excellent comms on e-mail. I sent a picture I found online that gave a rough indication of what we were looking for. The cake they designed came out great! They included sugar flags and stars to ramp up the patriotism factor. Payment was easy online. We precoordinated them delivering the cake to the lunch restaurant for the morning of our reservation. They delivered the cake as promised in perfect condition. That was a huge help since we were not able to pick it up. He really enjoyed the cake! It made the day extra special. When they posted a picture to their Instagram page it got everyone's attention. We appreciate how Imagine Cake came through and helped us celebrate this very special occasion. Highly recommend! Thank you!

They've been a DMV staple for years and have built a solid reputation in the community. They've since moved into a much larger space, but they're still in Laurel and in the same shopping center. The new location is bright, clean, and has plenty of room to browse their cakes and baking supplies. The cake and cupcakes were fresh, moist, and exactly what I expected. Their designs are always top-tier, and more importantly, they taste just as good. The staff was friendly, and my order was ready on time. It's nice to see a longtime local business continue to THRIVE. In my opinion, they are still the "IT GIRL!!!"

Oof, I know what it's like to be on a short staffed team and I thank y'all for maintaining a decent respectable atmosphere in spite of the circumstances. Despite that, what you got cooking back there, oh it's something good!!! I look forward to visiting again.

Or maybe it's just more rich: I don't know. But this version has condensed cream on top. The other version has caramel on top. I also had a layered pastry with custard and powdered sugar. This was the most fun dessert there! I forget what it was called. It uses the same flaky pastry you might enjoy in apple turnovers but instead, it's layered with custard and something like cool whip. This tres leches cake is light and uses an icing which tastes similar to cool whip. It's simple and enjoyable. The Boston Cream donut is a serious bakery endeavour: just hold it to see how heavy and weighted it is! You definitely get your money's worth with this pastry. Plus: the icing is rich and chocolatey. This dessert is a labor of love.

"The Good" - Robert was awesome, I rolled in about an hour before they were closing and there were slim pickings left in the case, although I did manage to score a sick pack of cupcakes. - The cupcakes were moist and tasty, really good. - The salted caramel was my favorite... mainly because of salt. I do love salt... - The box the cupcakes came in had a divider that did not allow them to slide all over and have the icing touch one another... I love it when people think ahead to solve problems that would annoy people. Well done. "The Meh" - The Chocolate Peanut Butter one was equally delicious, but I wanted more peanut butter. Again, this is just a small observation, but very true. "The Bad" - Nothing really bad to comment on.

They had a special menu for Groupon holders and I was able to purchase 12 cupcakes (4 different flavors) and 4 cookies (2 flavors). I decided to purchase the Carrot Cake, Yellow Cake with Vanilla Buttercream, Turtle and Salted Caramel cupcakes and the Snickerdoodle and White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies. The staff member that I spoke with via email was very professional and helpful. I scheduled a time to meet to receive my order but apparently she was running late. After waiting for 20 minutes I called the bakery and the staff member told me that she had a mishap in the kitchen and had to meet me an hour later than my original appointment. She claimed that she sent me an email 3 hours prior to our scheduled time, but since I used my work email I didn't receive it. Please note that when I returned to work today, I didn't see a single email informing me that she would be late. Seems to me that it would've been easier to call me. My number was on my original email. I took all of that into stride because I understand how things happen when baking so I tried to brush it off. When she arrived she gave me my purchase but let me know that she couldn't fill the White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie order because that was the mishap she had in the kitchen. Instead, she replaced it with Chocolate Chip cookies. I took the order to my parents house to share with my family and the six of us were all in agreement....the cupcakes were dry and rather dense. I'm not sure when the cupcakes were made, but they couldn't have possibly been baked that same morning. Everyone was in agreement that I made better cupcakes than these and they found it rather difficult to eat them. Needless to say, I still have cupcakes left over that won't be eaten. Don't get me wrong, they were very pleasing to the eye with nice decorations on each and all of the frostings were delicious, but the cake itself was no bueno. The carrot cake didn't taste like a carrot cake, the yellow cake with vanilla frosting was bland and the turtle cake just didn't taste good. The cookies were pretty average, nothing special to write home about. I appreciate the many options that were offered for my Groupon, but they just weren't my cup of tea and I truly wasn't impressed. I'll stick to baking my own cupcakes.
