We celebrated the Father's Day one day early by indulging ourselves in eating some sushi. I've been wanting to check this place out for a while, but due to COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns it has only been offering take-outs up until recently. However, it's finally open for dining-in now!!
Since my wife doesn't care for any raw fish, we tried some maki rolls today that she would enjoy (photos). Of course, I had to have some seafood for myself. They were all very good. My wife loved her Avocado Roll (asparagus, cucumber, takuan wrapped with sushi rice and avocados), and I really enjoyed my Salmon Roll (salmon, avocado, cucumber and sesame topped with tobiko--flyingfish roe). After finishing our initial order, we had to get some more, so we ordered Shiitake and Inari (fried tofu wrapper) makis. They both had very good flavor.
Service was very good, our server was very pleasant and mostly attentive. We just had to wave him down for our check.
Reservation is highly recommended at this juncture. It seems like everyone is trying to make up the lost time (obviously, you really cannot), and all the nicer restaurants in town are extremely busy. If you really want to chance it, it's totally up to you, but if you are celebrating some special occasions, you'd rather have a table when you want it. Bon appetit! read more
