My prior Microblading (about a year and a half ago) with another artist had slightly faded. I took a chance with a new Microblading artist I followed on social media. I knew I wanted thicker, arched ombré eyebrows, so my research began. Typically, I read reviews and view before and after pictures when it comes to cosmetology. I booked with Maggie, owner of Mpressive Faces. Any questions and pictures I presented to her, she was open and honest to. Disposable blades and precautionary measures are taken into keeping a sterile field with the Microblading. The process from maximum numbing to finished brows took about an hour. She did not disappoint as far as covering the old and perfecting my new brows. A one month follow-up is recommended for any fading and/or corrections. My Microblading usually lasts about 12-16 months before needing a new job again. Every client varies, depending on their skin type and the care of the initial Microblading. Please avoid this place. I had my brows done by Maggie, and they turned out extremely dark and blocky. I'm now having to get them laser‑removed. It's not a good feeling when the first thing people notice about you are your overly bold brows. On top of that, Maggie didn't listen to what I asked for and seemed to do whatever she wanted. If I could give this place zero stars I would. This place is the worst run business ever. The owner of the business is who I booked my appointment with thinking I was getting the best, but little did I know I was getting the worst. I wish I had read all of the previous reviews on yelp on her before making my appointment. She ruined my face. I am 48 years old and I look like a witch because of Maggie. I was not happy when I left after she did the work. I had my doubts and she told me that it looked good and she seemed very frustrated and in a rush to get me out of there. I was uncomfortable so of course I said yes fine they look good. But I hated them from the moment I got it from that chair. Today I went in for my final touch up appointment to see if there's anything she could do to make it better, but all she could do was tell me that they're perfect when they are absolutely awful. She wanted to fill them in more!! I am so glad I got up from the chair and told her that she no longer needs to be doing anything more to my brows. Best decision I ever made. Why would I let her do one more single stroke? And she tried to tell me that they look like that because it is hard to work over past microblading THAT I HAD DONE 6 YEARS AGO!! I told her that if that was going to be an issue she should've been a little lighter on her strokes and warned me. Not to mention the color is blackish gray. She only uses one dark color according to all the other horrible reviews I've read about her. She annihilated my face. Please don't go to this place unless you want to look like a clown and unless you want to be treated like garbage. All they care about is getting your money, but this place will not be around forever. Word spreads and client satisfaction is pretty important when it comes to running a business. I told her that my dermatologist and my doctor who is a plastic surgeon and does my Botox was appalled by her work. She said that they don't know this work and they are not professionals in this business. Please give me a break. It takes very little time to get certified in carving somebody's brows and filling them with pigment compared to being a doctor. These doctors know what they're talking about when it comes to a face. So spare me that nonsense, Maggie!Never in my life have I experienced anything like this. Oh! And the first time I was in her chair she tells me that the next guy she dates, she will date for money not love. TMI!! She had obviously just broken up with her boyfriend and was not happy as she was cutting on my eyebrows! That was a definite RED flag! They removed my review. I previously posted that the girl that did my brows did a horrible job. She did it to what color she thinks eyebrows should look like, maybe for herself, and not other people? 'm light-skinned with light hair and light eyes, and she did my eyebrows jet black. For an entire year so many people commented that I looked terrible That it wasn't until six months ago that I went to a place to get a facial and they told me you need to get those eyebrows removed. For some reason it finally hit me and when I looked took a look at myself everyone was correct. I looked like I had a sharpie on my face. I have paid for 6 lasers costing me $1,700 and I still have not gotten the correction Din. The owner, of course, will respond with,"please come in and we will fix them!". Here it is some more years later (I've lost count) I've done a few laser treatments around the brow hair on my face which will not remove this mess overnight but it's slowly working. They used black ink on me unfortunately they say they don't but they did. Once this is done, I will still need micro- needling on where my original brow hair is. Let's not talk abt the amount of money Ive spent so far to make this right. The brow hair area now is blue & it still looks like a marker drawn on my face when I've always stated I wanted the natural look (feathered) not ombré etc... I'm hearing & seeing more & more stories from random people who are going thru the same thing from this business. What's in the dark always comes to light. I've been sitting on this review for 3 months but I finally thought I'd share my experience. I decided to pull the trigger once I found out Maggie was raising her prices from $600 to $700. Come appointment day, Maggie maps out my brows and I personally felt like she was not very receptive to what I wanted for my face. I think that kind of set the tone for the rest of the procedure. I said it looked too thick. "No, that's just your natural brows. I'm just following your hairline." I said it was too close. "I'm following your natural hairs and not going beyond that." I do have hairs that grow in my unibrow area so of course it's my natural hairs, but that doesn't necessarily mean that's how I want it, that it looks good, or makes me look good. She mentioned that I was worrying too much about 1 stroke and that no one was going to look that close........um?? It's my face and it's permanent. So of course I'm going to worry about 1 stroke. She started to get condescending and I just didn't want to say anything else because the procedure was pretty much done. I emailed them before touch up day asking what options I had regarding my brows being too close and dark. I got a call back but instead of addressing the issue I was asked to reschedule due to Maggie's conflicting personal appointment. The receptionist then answered my question after I brought it up and we decided to push the touch up another week. The following week I received another call asking to reschedule again. At this point, my brows were still dark, I'm irritated, and I knew nothing could really be done so I just cancelled my touch up. So how do my brows look 3 months post procedure? Still fairly dark especially at the inner corners. Some strokes are thick, fuzzy and not crisp. Could it be worse? Yes. For now, I just find temporary solutions to cover it until it fades. read more

The place was very stylish and spotless! I drove all the way from Conroe area because of a recommendation so I can't complain about the distance; however, after making the drive twice (once for the required maintenance) I was not happy. The eyeliner bled onto my eyelids and the brow color was black at the beginning and turned an indigo color (my natural is "dirty blonde" and I expressed my desire that my brows be as natural as possible. I splurged for Maggie (even though I was referred to a junior stylist) for the boss and educator. I went to the owner because I thought she would do the best work. I explained to her what I wanted and she decided to do what she thought would look best. I wanted a thick eyebrow and instead I got a small-medium look. Then when I returned for the touch up I told her my eyebrows were not even. The tale on one was obviously and noticeably thinner. As a makeup artist, it took a lot of research, time and energy finding someone I'd even consider trust to microblade my eyebrows. Do not go here! So relieved to see others are speaking out. I am not one of her students that post on here for her. I was a client. Maggie truly was the best in the industry when she first started as an individual and not a company. She was all about the customer and individual needs. She did a beautiful job at blending colors to match colored and highlighted hair. Not anymore!! She is all about numbers and profits which means getting people in and out as fast as possible with little to no follow up touch up. I wanted the same warm reddish brown color she blended together before. But She will only use dark "brown" which is really black ink on your brows. I begged her not too but she said in her experience it's the only shade that stays and doesn't require as much touch up if any. But I never had a problem with the reddish brown shade she used before. It lasted years and looked natural. But she still refused and said dark "brown" which is really black is the only way to do it now. She said it will not come out black! Don't trust her like I did!!! It's been 5 years since she has done them and I still cry when I look in the mirror. They look so fake and horrible. I never get compliments anymore. Just stares and questions. The color is so black that it has barely faded to grey specks and probably never will fade nicely according to the dermatologist. He said it's actually going to turn more of a blue steel grey as it fades which will be years from now and uglier. Please!! Don't let her ruin your face!! This is a permanent tattoo. Let me start off by saying that the staff way too overconfident to stand. That said, they're SUPER OVERPRICED for the quality of service provided. I went in for my first eyebrow microblading about two years ago and the tech was the sweetest but did a terrible job ( eyebrows looked like caterpillars). When I came back early this year (to a new tech) she quickly noticed the mediocre job and tried to "fix" the old job. When she was done, I noticed one of my brows was further from the eye than the other and when I told her what I saw I was basically treated as if I were blind. Hi all! I went to MPressive Faces last Saturday for a scheduled appointment for microblading ombré procedure. I was a student model for Irma. When I arrived I was greeted by Maggie. I signed in and sat down until further instructed. When I arrived I had done my makeup and eyebrows to give them a general idea of what I was looking for. Right away Maggie began to reprimand me on arriving with makeup and that I obviously I'd not read the email. We are to arrive with a clean face. As I said, I was giving a general idea of what I wanted. Irma took me to the chair and prepared for the procedure. She began to work on mapping my face. By now I have been here for 30 minutes as not one time has either the student or teacher asked me what I was looking for. Maggie has another client in a chair closer to the front of the salon, my chair was closer to bathroom, and from a distance Maggie then asked Irma if she had done all of her prepping duties. Maggie then told Irma she did not use hair net on me, nor did she ask me any of the routine questions prior to beginning. Irma then continued with mapping my face. When it was done, she ga e me the mirror and showed me what it was looking like. I told Irma right away, I did not want thick/brick like brows. While Irma was still mapping another client came in (mother and daughter), and there was a situation that happened which had delayed their arrival. The client was coming from Dallas in the rain and got lost. She was an hour late. The client began to explain and beg for her to make an exception to move forward with her procedure and Maggie was very rude and adamant that she has now potentially lost money when she could have booked another client in her absence. The client finally left and her mother stayed for her touch up with one of the other technicians. Maggie proceeds to start on her clients touch up. Keep in mind my technician was still mapping and correcting to my liking and getting ready to begin on my brows. Irma asked me if I was ready to begin. Now mind you I did not know what color was being used on my brows or anything. She started microblading. Maggie began to start asking Irma if she had did this step, why did t I have a hair net, did she show me the color.....so on and so on! Mind you Maggie is at another station with another client! She was not overseeing her students work at all! When Maggie was done with her client, about 25 minutes into my procedure, she then walked over to my chair and began interrogating Irma on her skill and performance. Maggie said "your supposed to hold the blade this way", " the hair strokes are supposed to be this way", " how come you don't have all your tools and accessories ready", " now this is contaminated"!?!?!?!?! She had to even ask her assistant for skin pigmentation! Maggie then said she booked the ombré, why didn't you start on that? At this point Maggie was beyond frustrated, and she took the tool for Irma and went to town on my brows! Went to town on my brows and totally f***ed them up! When Maggie was done she wiped of the access color and boom! My eyebrows were UGLY! One was thicker than the other and very very dark....no where near my color! It was if now I had a uni-brow! I started crying! When I see other reviews and Maggie is mentioned as very rude and no customer service skills.....that is right! Maggie told me that is the way my face is shaped and that they will shrink and fade over time. I didn't even go outside for this first week. I am working on the removal Process now! Word of advise, when your a student model, the instructor needs to be right there for every stroke! This a tattoo procedure and is semi permanent......you should not be watching and correcting a student from afar! Pls choose wisely, my expectations were mis-judged. She needs to focus on her students instead of the money for 30 minutes. read more

It's very clean inside of this studio. First time coming to get microblading I didn't know what to expect. This place is behind the stairs around the corner from Bombay. In hindsight I should have taken Motrin to easy the pain but I didn't. I regretted it when I was getting punctured. So as soon as I got there I realized it's an open room with multiple chairs that leans back for microblading. This means you can hear everyone's conversations. The only problem I had with the chair is that it's for taller people. I'm under 5ft so it was difficult for me to be in a good position for the artist doing my microblading. I keep on trying to slide up but was unable to keep the awkward position so that my eyebrows were easily accessible. I'm giving one star less bc the seating was uncomfortable. Maybe a flat table would have been easier for the client and the artist. ESP for shorty like me. So when I got there they had 2 lidocaine options to numb your skin. One was free (clear and 4%) and the white one (10%) was $40 extra. I did the free one bc it was topical and FREE. It did hurt at first. I did feel the numbness once my skin was already punctured but I I felt everything before that even with the numbing. So people were ok with the pain. I was very anxious and antsy about it so idk if that hurt more in my find. Pain tolerance is different for everyone so I can say it hurts like hell and the next person can say it didn't hurt at all. They do recommend no alcohol and vitamins before the procedure. Pre procedure instructed will be in your email. Read them. Come on time. So as far as healing they did give instructions afterwards. I followed the instructions to the letter. I applied aquaphor 3 times a day with sterile applicators and I also went and got more aquaphor from Walgreens afterwards. My eyebrows healed just fine and I'm looking forward to my touch up because some spots just disappeared. I will update after my touch up. I'll try the other lidocaine (10%) and update to see if I felt less pain. I was told that with a review in yelp the 10% lidocaine will be free for my touch up. I don't know how long that promo will last though. I've had a lot of compliments on my eyebrows and they don't look fake bc u can see the hair strokes. I do wish that they did more of a brown color instead of light black because I have caramel balayage and I want it to look natural.... we will see how it turns out with the touch up. And they do tell you that they try to make the eyebrows look alike My eyebrows are sisters but def not twins. I'm not posting a pic because of their no photo policy. read more

The Comment from MPressive faces stating the microblading service is worth $1200 is a Complete Joke, ACTUALLY the service done accurately is worth around $250 on a good day. The customer has to be inconvenienced & come back & forth to get a decent visible brow coloring, then when it's finally complete it's a dull color & faded looking. I've Not seen a Totally well-done microblading service. MPressive faces does a decent job but nowhere near excellent. COMPARED to other microbladers in the area MPressive faces provides the better services. They are quite expensive but going elsewhere is for the most part a disaster. ***Editing my review from 4 to 5 stars. Ana tweaked my brows and resolved the issues I had with the shape and they look perfect. I had my initial microblading with Anna and will be going in for my touch up today. She was friendly and seemed very skilled. She took lots of measurements and time to map out my eyebrows. The shape she drew raised the tails of my eyebrows and so she would have to pluck off some of the tail of the eyebrow. This made me a bit nervous (if we pluck it, it could not grow back) so she quickly wiped off what she drew and re-drew them following my natural tail line. My eyebrows sit assymetrically in height so it wasn't the easiest to cover them both completely. I appreciate that she could do that. I kind of wish I had let her do it the first way because now I'm seeing that the tail litt may have been more flattering. I'd like her to tweak them a bit at the touch up today so we will see what she's able to do. I got the 40$ extra numbing. The first pass was the most painful. I think it was kind of worn off by the time we started because the drawing part took so long. She adds numbing cream between the passes so the rest of them didn't hurt as badly. Extremely disappointed with the customer service and my brows. My brows are too close to each other! I went in for my annual touch up. The tech that did my brows did a good job behind the strokes of my brows, but made my brows uneven. My right side was longer and closer to my nose. She agreed they were uneven and made a few more strokes to my left side to try and even out my brows. I then left with my brows even. As i got into my car and looked closer at my brows i realized my brows were way too close to each other!! When i saw my family and friends they immediately noticed as well. I immediately called the office the next day within 24 hours and complained that i was dissatisfied with my brows and that they were drastically closer to each other than prior to my annual touch up. Why would the tech change the shape of my brows when i got my brows microbladed by mpressive faces this year before? Anyways, i understand that mistakes happen but what dumbfounds me is that the receptionist quoted me $75 to fix my brows. That is ridiculous. I already paid $$$ for y'all to mess up my brows and now i have to pay an additional $75 for y'all to fix? Also, I asked the receptionist to explain to me how they would fix it and she couldn't exactly explain it. So why would I book another appointment without understanding the procedure? The receptionist then had the audacity to blame me that I asked for additional strokes. MY BROWS WERE UNEVEN. So should I have left the office with uneven brows?? I am Caucasian with VERY pale skin and dark hair- she gave me all one color, black eyebrows that were not natural looking at all. They dominated my entire face. She also "created" entirely new shaped eyebrows and didn't stay within my own brow area. Before she started, I attempted to discuss color and shape and she said "Don't worry, I know exactly what to do." Unfortunately, I believed her. When I went back for my touch up, I expressed my concern and she said she would lighten them up a bit. After the touch up, there was no difference in color. I am now having the very expensive & painful procedure of saline removal. Prior to my experience, I researched Maggie's work and she appeared to do a good job, however, reflecting on my research now, most of her pictures are of clients with darker skin tones. In doing my research of removal, I discovered, there's a big difference in how darker vs. lighter skin absorbs the pigments and reflects the color. If you are considering microblading, I would research techs that have done a lot of clients with your same skin tone and hair color. Hard and expensive lesson learned. *edited in response to Maggie's comment* Regardless of if they use black in or not is irrelevant. What Maggie should take away from this review is that: She did not listen to her customer's needs, she did not explore what the client desired and ultimately gave the client poor service. Clean, friendly, good service. Happy with my brows, going for touch up. I'm very pleased with how natural they look with hair line strokes.

I got my eyebrows micro-bladed by Maggie. She is absolutely amazing & extremely kind hearted. She made me feel comfortable before we ever got started with the actual micro-blading. I hate leaving bad reviews but I also hate wasting money and having a permanent fuck up on my face so I will try to keep it short. The owner is a great boss I won't knock that but she's better off as a manager/owner not an artist. She has no interest in listening to what you want and how you want it. You have to make a deposit before you go so when you're there you're stuck between wasting money leaving and trusting that she will do good her way. I wish I chose to waste the money. I had decent brows that just needed a little fill so tell me why I came out w super thick black sharpies . Y'all she even asked her worker to come over and see my face and asked " do you think the drugs wore off from the weekend?" . She even had the audacity to ask me after it was done if I like super bushy brows... like I guess I have to now. Do your research ladies. Read all reviews not just the ones they push to the top. Went to get my brows done again by maggie, because I didn't like the shape of how she initially did them. Her customer service skills are horrible. She wants to shape "your brows " aka mine, how she ( Maggie) wants to shape them. It doesn't matter if the Brow tech "thinks they look good" if the customer don't like the shape listen to them. If you disagree with her, she just become nasty with her attitude. Saying, " you know you can fill them in right?" For one I'm not stupid, duh you can fill them in. For two, if I pay $700 I don't want to fill in my brows. Nice place, clean tools. But it's a business, face the fact that some people will not like the work you provided. That doesn't give you the right to have a nasty attitude with people and show your frustration. read more
