I was put on the spot about making a decision on insurance and with a "better be safe than sorry" I agreed to pay for 9 days. My car was not ready after those 9 days and nobody called me to inform me that even I signed and paid which means agreed to 9 date of insurance, I would continued to be charged for insurance - even i obviously now didn't consent to the optional insurance. I had to find out myself to which I was then told I had to come in in person to get a new contract. After the rental car was returned I was then charged for toll by plate even I had a Sunpass the whole time. A few days later I also was charged for the extra days of insurance I never asked for and it was kept in the dark about because that seems the trick, "keep quiet and let's secretly make the customer be forced to pay". As I had a new credit card by then they refused to take a payment over the phone and told me once again to come in. I was then told that it I wouldn't come in asap I was going to be taken to collections. So basically nobody was in any rush to ever tell me I was continued to be charged but they were quickly to tell me I would be taken to collections if I didn't pay asap. I don't live close by any location so nobody here thinking about the time and cost of all this nonsense. EDIT: I have to add another gangster move by them. I contacted them I had a Sunpass so the toll charges are incorrect, however days after this still went ahead and charged my card!!! REPORTING TO BBB AND CONSUMER PROTECTION, these are ruthless activities!! Be careful!

I have to note the times I had to and switched cars after I signed for one, I changed my mind and Juice did NOT AT ALL slip a beat and responded with the help I needed to get the rental. Trust me! The reservation process was challenging, requiring four attempts due to frequent changes in the reservation date and drop-off location. When I contacted customer support for assistance, I was informed that making changes over the phone would incur an additional fee. Eventually, I finalized the reservation and selected a Volkswagen Jetta. Upon arriving to pick up the vehicle, I found the staff in a back room rather than at the front desk. After approximately 15 minutes, they acknowledged my presence and appeared somewhat unprofessional. They attempted to sell me additional insurance for $135, despite the fact that insurance had already been purchased at the time of reservation. The vehicle provided was parked in a tight space among several other cars, making it difficult to access the doors and trunk, which required driving over a curb. The vehicle was not the model I had reserved. When I pointed this out, my request was declined. The car had visible dents and scratches, a half tank of gas, and damaged upholstery with cigarette burns. I took photographs of the vehicle, noting the damage, and informed the staff about the fuel level. They advised me to take a picture and to refuel to a half tank before returning. During the trip, I experienced engine knocking, unusual noises, and sputtering. When I returned the vehicle to Kissimmee, the attending agent was courteous and inquired if I had refueled the vehicle. I informed her that I had filled it to three-quarters and provided photographic evidence. She declined an inspection, assured me the transaction was complete, and I received my receipt before leaving. Three weeks later, I noticed a $450 charge from Budget on my bank statement. I confirmed with my bank that this was unauthorized. They put my card on hold, and I contacted Budget's customer service. The representative, after verifying my information, incorrectly stated that I had been involved in an accident. When I clarified that I had not, he suggested I should have purchased additional insurance, which I had explicitly declined. I provided details about the drop-off, along with photographs of the fuel level and odometer readings, though I lacked proof of key exchange. The representative also claimed the vehicle was returned dirty with a bad odor and damage, which I denied. After a lengthy hold, he apologized, realizing the charge was mistakenly attributed to the subsequent renter. The odometer readings confirmed my vehicle was less driven than the one associated with the charge. This incident has been frustrating, and the entire resolution process took over an hour. Based on this experience, I will not be renting from Budget in the future.
