I went in 2 different times: saturday at 3pm and wednesday at 10am. Two completely different vibes. I tried the famous sandwich from the black pig, viral chocolate covered strawberries and bread ahead. Black pig - the best one sandwich: it was AMAZING!!! I was a bit scared to get this since i was by myself but let me tell you, it was not heavy as i expected it to be. Just delicious overall and would totally recommend. Chocolate strawberries: I love strawberries and chocolate but definitely think you can find cheaper alternatives anywhere in london. Bread Ahead: my new favorite pastry place. I pretty much got a donut from this place (not this location) everyday because the black currant cheesecake donut was that good. I got the tiramisu and crème brûlée donut which my brother liked and i wish i could've tasted them before they went bad but anyways, I would totally recommend the donuts from here! Their chocolate chips cookies are HUGE and delicious as well. This was probably one of my favorite markets!

They have so many brands, wide aisles and well displayed items. They have a great variety of healthy snack alternatives and gluten free options, which I need. They also have lots of different peanut butters to choose from which is fab. The fresh food options are good too. Just like in the US, there are lots of hot dishes and cold meal options to choose from in the self-serve area. Healthy options and some favourites, like mac & cheese and even cod bites! Highly recommend and not everything is as expensive as I expected so it's definitely worth checking their sales. Their soups are great too!

The store is really impressive and has a great selection of high-quality products with a shopping environment that is both clean and welcoming, the prices are high for sure with Whole Foods being more of a premium brand so you wouldn't want to do a whole weekly shop here, but if you're looking for some interesting, unique or high-end products this place can certainly do the job. Despite the size of the store, it was well laid out and easy to find what I was looking for without the need for staff assistance there was also a dedicated area for Amazon orders and returns, with Amazon of course owning Whole Foods. The Kensington Kitchen, Wine Bar and unique food offerings make this a nice place to shop. 4*

Incredible service, perfect food. So happy to have them around the corner! I absolutely love Pescheria Mattiucci! This new place open around the corner from me and at first glace I though it was a new fish monger opening up on a very hot piece of real estate, but then walking by at night I saw people dining there! It's a fish monger by day, seafood restaurant by night. It is run by a family from Napoli who import fresh fish from the family fishing boat. Each day there is fresh fish of the day that was just caught. The owner is super friendly and more than happy to tell you all about the day's product and recommend the best wine to accompany it. They have a couple outposts in Italy and this is their first venture outside the country and it is a huge hit, especially with the neighbouring Italian competitors. At first I thought it was another place that would shut down 6 months later, but I have found myself back here time and again, each time saying "this is THE spot, the best local!". I recommend just putting your meal in the hands of the owner who will most definitely come by your table (there are only about 6 or 7 tables) and order what he suggests as it changes daily. There is always a veggie starter dish that is excellent! Highly recommended, usually consisting of 5 small tasters, and all very well though out. If you have a complex of not mixing fish and dairy (with the obvious exceptions) this place will change your mind. I feel so lucky to have this around the corner, in fact I am about to run out for some fresh fish to cook in tonight! Definitely swing by when you're in the neighbourhood.

BUT - from an overall point of view, it is plain ordinary. Fish is not bad, but I've had much better. Portions are extremely small and, this is what gets me most, the prices are exorbitant. We actually walked up to another restaurant for a second meal as we were still hungry. Tip: Avoid this place.

Do it.) Aaaaand the plot thins when I insert the fact that I didn't eat fish until I was 20 years old. I thought it was vile. When I was 20 I went on a study abroad program called Semester at Sea, and as you can imagine... seafood was on the daily menu for six months. After one month of eating the only non-fish alternative (peanut butter and jelly), I gave in. And I still haven't forgiven myself for wasting a full month not eating the most amazing, fresh, delicious fish I've ever had. The reason it was so fantastic was that it was sourced directly from local fishers at each port we called at, so mahi-mahi in Cuba, piranha in Brazil, skate in Cape Town... all the way around to king salmon in Alaska. My fish from Chelsea Fishmonger brought me right back to my earlier experience. So fresh, so local, so delicious. And most importantly, so ethical. I spoke with an employee for about 20 minutes about their fishing practices which involve, among other responsible things, only stocking fish caught by softer inshore non-destructive fishing methods. Now I'm not just upset about the one month I didn't eat fish on the ship, I'm upset about the 20 years I didn't know places like Chelsea Fishmonger existed!
