Waitresses are dressed inappropriately and food is horrible...not sure why in most of restaurants in Toronto have such inappropriate dress codes for waitresses. read more

The food there is somewhat average, my mango chicken was pan seared Cajun chicken with some mango purée splashed on the plate. But it tasted good I never touched the mango sauce didn't seem right to mix it with the chicken. The appetizers tempura shrimp and calamari was good. What was the best that I tried was the shrimp lobster linguine, note if you don't like vinegar or capers warn them that either put less or none in there. Drink prices and the way the place is set up and full house is probably why I would go again read more

Service is usually at least 35% of the equation (Food being another 35%, and atmosphere completing the last 30%), but there are off nights even at the best of places, and so I'll give Moxie's 4-stars instead of 3, because it wasn't really that bad. Our waitress later explained she was detained in the back, but after a long wait with nothing, the astute bartender noted our lack of drinks, and took both our drink and food order. They had a short list of craft draft, but it was sufficient. I took her advise on the Red Thai Curry, and was not disappointed. Very well executed - though light on the heat - and I loved the flatbread that came with it, as she said I would. Moxie's is a classy place with a more relaxed atmosphere than you'd think from how it looks. The staff is professional, and mostly attentive. The food is very good, and I liked the craft beers. I say give Moxie's a try when you're in Brampton. I'll likely stop in again, and I would try one of their other locations if I were to find myself near one. Recommended. read more

Nice bar and grill with better than average food at a fairly decent price. Very nice on the inside with great friendly staff. Full bar with a good variety of food. Had a good time here and will definitely come back next time I'm in town. read more

Greeted promptly......spacious seating....clean modern decor... Great tasting food.... but small portions......reasonable prices... Would not hesitate to return again.... On my return visit (feb/14/2014) portion sizes have increased in size Plenty of food for average person.....only complaint food Was served cool not hot.....again i would not hesitate to return! read more

Food is the best in the city, however as much as it bites me I will never visit this location again because of continuous horrible service. I used to be a regular customer who would visit this restaurant at least once a week, after a few times being served and being forgotten about I refuse to go back. Also during Christmas while the gift card promotion was on our server Savanna tried to steal the promotional gift card which was valued at 20$ and when I asked the front desk to check the value they said it was only 100 not including the promo value savanna said was added. Also she is by far the slowest waitress there. And when I tired to bring it up to the hostess I was sat somewhere else and again forgotten about. Love their food but even though I live in Caledon I will drive to the Mississauga location instead of coming here. read more

I wasn't impressed. Dinner service was okay. Ordering seemed kind of rushed, as in the waitress seemed she was in a hurry when I asked what she recommended since it was first time. Anyways, the entrée was horrible. Cold, dry, and the "sautéed" mushrooms platter made me really sick! (And I eat mushrooms on a regular basis). I also should have read reviews before coming here. Almost every U.S. based yelper has a negative review. Note: don't call yourself an American bar and grill when Americans don't have a positive review! read more

Just completed dinner and it was great. I had red curry with rice and it was wonderful. My mum had the salmon and it came with green beans and potatoes. The veggies were el dente and delish. My wife had steak with lobster dressing. The had a kids menu and it was perfect for my son. Ask for Oneal he was our waiter and was polite and enjoyable. Great restaurant. read more

They messed up my order 5 times, and had the dumbest excuses. Service is also extremely slow.

This place gets 4 stars because our waiter was great. Our server was Marcel L . He had excellent customer service. Explained the menu. Helped us out. And we were a group of 4 girls so he had lots of patience with us when we were all indecisive. There was one point where he was busy but someone still had us covered and once our waiter came back he apologized where it actually seemed genuine. Which I find with customer service now a days some people in customer service could really care less. This place doesn't get 5 stars mainly because the deserts are something I could literally find out of a frozen section at a grocery store. We ordered the white chocolate brownie and cheesecake and mini brownie bite. White chocolate brownie was stale . Literally gross. I stopped eating after 2 bites. And the mini brownie bite we assumed it was a chocolate brownie but it was the same gross white chocolate brownie. The cheesecake looked good but I didn't try it. And to go I brought my husband a piece of " chocolate cake" it was 9$ and I later realized it was a chocolate lava cake with a strawberry. Lava cake that looks like it came frozen from grocery store Maybe worth 4$. Extremely disappointing desserts for Moxies. The dinner and apps were great. Server was excellent. read more

Pretty generic restaurant. Food wasn't bad and cocktails were OK - especially when you "Moxie-size" them but nothing to write home about. If I ever come back, it'll be for the atmosphere. read more

There's always a great selection of food and cocktails. Good vibe, not too noisy. Have enjoyed the patio in the summer time as well!

Rather disappointing. My peppercorn New York was thin and tough. I ordered medium rare and got medium. My wife ordered a medium rare sirloin and it was very rare. We were left waiting over 10 minutes for out wine to arrive while our meals sat and got cold. At $150.00 for dinner for two I think I'll stick to The Keg or Baton Rouge. Much better, reliable and consistent. I won't return here. read more

So here I am. Not much to do. So I'm going to have a meal out for tonight. Brampton Ontario is a wasteland for food. Nothing really worthy to eat. Most of these places all get their prepared food from the same wholesalers. Not much cooking going on. Just open the package and plate it. It's all the same. So here I am at Moxie's. Fairly busy. I sat at the bar area instead of the restaurant. Big mistake. If you are not equipped with boobs and hair it's not going to be pleasant. So I sit at the bar. Two guys come after me and sit to my left. Two girls come and sit to my right. I was served last after I said excuse me. I'm here to. The guy said I thought you were with the other guys. What a clown. So then he comes back and asked the girls first and really sold the menu and approved of their choices. Big song and dance. As I type this they are eating and he comes by all flamboyant and everything and says it smells good over here. What an ass. I still have not been asked for my order. People really need to be properly trained on service. I will never ever go back. I'm actually offended and lost my appetite. So I should go grab a sub. As I'm sitting here the jack ass asked me if I'm interested in desert. He actually thinks I ate something. What a moron. Go chum it up with your girl pals. There should be an anti tip process where if the service is so bad they pay you. What a joke. read more

One of my regular restaurants Food good but a little difficult to get my choices modified to suit my kill -cancer diet. Less salt would be a plus as well. Service pleasant and competent and we can catch the hockey game in the pub area read more

Moxie's has great food. I've been there twice already. Once for my birthday, where the waitress was great and friendly. I did, however, have a bad experience. We were having dinner in the lounge and the food was brought to us with no cutlery. It took nearly 10 minutes for the waitress to come back to our table with it. The same waitress also left us for 15 minutes or longer waiting for our change. When she came back to our table asking if everything was okay, we had to remind her about the change. Even though one waitress clearly messed up our evening, the food and ambience is what is more important. Those qualities are great. read more

This is probably my go to place where I meet up with my girlfriends last minute. Its kind of ridiculoue because some of the servers know me and always say "You look familiar". Damn right, giving them business :p the decor is chic and and classy and most importantly clean. The staff is friendly and I am always greeted and I never have to wait for a table, in both bar and dining area. I usually start off with a bottle if Trius wine. On the summer patio nights, I usually grab their Sangria or Long Island. Its usually always happening and I end up spending 2-3 hours and not even notice. To start I grab 2 apps out of the calamari, chili chicken, sweet potato fries & bruschetta, their all good. For main, I usually get the chicken enchilladas but when I want something light but filling I get the santorini or steak salad. Just the other day I was recovering from a hang over so I had their spicy gumbo soup which was pretty good. For dessert they have their popular white chocolate brownie, but I think the brownie is too dry or its just my luck, not really a fan. I normally get a mocha latté and call it a night. I like this place mainly for drinks and apps :) read more

Moxies has changed and not for the better. Twenty five minutes before we saw a server. Service was fast after that but food was awful. My cob salad tasted like vinegar. My wife's curry dish was watery and barely tasted of curry. Not the same Moxies. Very disappointing. Looks like cost cutting gone wild. Won't return read more

I am already a huge Moxie's fan because of how seriously they take gluten allergies, but my last visit was positively outstanding! My fiance and I stopped there for dinner and thought we would start with an appetizer. I asked the waitress what I could have (since I have a severe gluten allergy) and she immediately brought the GM, Jeff, over to our table. Jeff checked out everything and said that the mosaic dip would be safe, but because I couldn't have the pita chips that came with it, he would sent one of his staff over to the grocery store to pick up some rice chips. I couldn't believe how accommodating he was - blew my mind! He made sure we were taken care of in terms of drinks, and even took our orders for us. We didn't have to wait too long for the dip with the rice crackers, despite the impromptu grocery store trip. and our meals were delicious. We left as very happy customers and will definitely be back! read more

Went to Moxie's tonight with my mom and sister and it was one of the worst dining out experiences we've had. The food is way overpriced and poor quality. We ordered 3 appetizers: the calamari, Korean cauliflower and the mosaic dip, with the intention to order mains as well. The calamari was extremely salty and spicy and was not the traditional rings and tentacles...it was weird long rubbery cuts. The cauliflower was just gross. Too sweet and too spicy. The mosaic dip was also pretty salty and tasted like it was made with canned mushroom soup. The service wasn't great either; the server didn't ask us how it was or offer boxes to take food home (we left most of the food and didn't want to take it home anyway, but still we should have been asked). Needless to say we didn't order any mains. The bill was over $70 for those 3 lousy apps and 2 cocktails. We will never go back. Moxie's is overpriced crap. read more

I'm a regular to several of the locations and most offer a wide variety of food and great atmosphere but it only takes 1 or 2 lousy servers and it can really ruin your meal. The brampton location unfortunately Has a few of these. Their are too many alternatives For me to get burned again. read more

Upon arrival the waiter, Julian, came over right away. We had haddock with quinoa and Asian chopped salad, both dishes were AMAZING! Service was fast, food was great, and overall would go back anytime! read more

Excellent atmosphere and staff very friendly. Food was good but a little on the pricy side.

If I had read other people's reviews we would not have gone there. But we had not and we did. Lunchtime, place was busy, seated straight away, charming and attentive waitress, food was really good. I had the sushi cones appetizer, followed by the mushroom ravioli, both of which were outstanding. Pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend this restaurant based on our experience. read more

I'm not a big fan of Moxies.. never really liked it. The only one item I did like they took off the menu (Tuna Tar Tar).. The wings are good, the drinks are okay and the food is okay or either bad. read more

I went to this location the other night and had a bite to eat with a couple of friends. The food was just OK. The portions were small and it looked like there was something missing from the plate. The salted caramel cheesecake was tasty but not enough of it for the price. The waitress was great!! read more

We cannot say enough good things about this location. Sara our server was fabulous, the Bruschetta was fresh tasting and delicious. Our Honey Garlic steak was cooked to perfection (and we both like it cooked differently). The beer was ice cold. We had the white chocolate brownie and the Banana Caramel Chango, both were to die for. If we had one complaint, it was the garlic mashed potatoes were cold and sticky. We will definetly eat at this location again read more

very classy place, great drinks, awesome daily special, good snacks, munchies, great prices. love the taco platter, free parking

The ambiance and service was excellent! They went out of their way to make sure everyone at our table was happy with their meal and able to enjoy their food without worrying about allergies. I'm definitely looking forward to going there again. read more

The food was ok, We visited this location in the past for our Birthdays. Tonight was my girlfriends Birthday, I informed the girl at the entrance desk of her Birthday, she told she would tell our server. After dinner we waited and waited, no dessert for my girlfriends Birthday. Finally, I asked for the bill and asked why her Birthday was not noted? She said she was not told by the girls at the front. I went to the front to pay the ill, where I wanted to hold the tip back, but my other friend wanted to give somme sort of tip. At the front I asked the girl why no brownie, she said it is coming.........I said, no the server did not know about it. She tried to tell me there must be some mistake! The only mistake was going there. These girls at the front spend too much time looking at each other and adjusting their hair to remember to tell the server about a Birthday. They act like school girls in grade 7. When I went back to the table, a guy approached and said he overheard there was an issue, he did not introduce himself. He said he can bring the dessert out now, we were leaving.....it was too late to bring a dessert. He did not even offer 3 desserts at that point. He did say when were back, mention it to him, I told him, people don't do that. They don't say, Hey the last time I was here......It was poor taste. My friend must have felt so bad, we never forget Birthdays and it looked like we forgot hers. I think this location needs mature girls at the front and not a bunch of giggle school girls having fun laughing. Tonight was one of the nights, no one wants to remember, esp when it is a girlfriends Birthday. Please don't go there for a Birthday, you will be disappointed. read more

Their white chocolate brownies are to die for. Really really good and so are the waitresses :D

Went to moxies for a friends birthday. All of the guests agreed that the service was terrible. First of all the table was booked for 10 but only had 8 chairs so we went to the front and nicely ask if we could get two more chairs, they said they would be right over. 15 mins later they still were not there, so when the server came we had asked her and she brought over only one chair so we said again that we would need one more chair still didn't come so one of us had to take a chair to put at are table. Also after eating are entrees we asked for two take out containers and again the server that cleaned are table said he would be right back, never came. So when are initial server came we had to ask her. Some of us had gotten desserts so when they were ordered we had also ask for more water for the table never came. Overall we also found the food not the best, nothing that we couldn't eat but somewhere we would not recommend as many other places have much better food. read more
