My first time at Moxie and Lindsay took really good care of me. The salon is super cute, and hidden away from the Main Street (building is on the Main Street but you must walk up a flight of stairs to a glass door, then go down the hallway to the right). Super satisfied with my hair color and blowout. I will be back again :) read more

So after cheating on my main hair girl, I went back to get fixed. I'm so grateful that my hair came out nearly perfect (only because I'm still waiting for bangs to grow out). Color and cut on point! Kylie has moved to a new studio which I should mention and is beautiful. You know your hair is good when you get a ton of compliments from strangers. I feel good again about my hair and can leave it all down without a pin pulling it all back. Thank you Kylie, you are a goddess!! read more

Located within the Palette Collective salon space, Kylie Borchers has done an incredible job of creating a welcoming, posh environment with Moxie Salon. I have been a client of Kylie's for years, and am so excited to see her branching out and opening her own business! Her new space oozes luxury and has a very peaceful ambiance. I want to come here just to hang out, lol. Moxie Salon is definitely a gem - don't miss it! I shaved my head bald a few years ago, so lately my main focus is growing my hair out. For this reason, I haven't had any drastic haircuts done by Kylie, but she always provides a high-quality trim. I have been considering doing an ombre-dye, but am a little scared to take the plunge. Whenever I visit Kylie for a trim, we discuss different ombre looks, but she never pressures me to make a decision. When the time is right and I'm brave enough to try hair dye, Kylie will be my go-to gal! Recently, Kylie started doing eyelash extensions so I just had to try it! I was nervous but ended up being so impressed by her commitment for quality! She explained the process step-by-step and showed me the difference between a good eyelash extension and a sub-par extension. Although it took almost three hours to do my full set of lashes, I was never worried about the extensions damaging my own lashes (which will definitely happen if the technician doesn't know what they're doing, or tries to rush). Kylie is so sweet and her eyelash chair is very comfortable, so it really didn't seem like three hours. It has been two weeks since I got the lash extensions, and they still look full and long! I will go back to Moxie Salon soon to get a "refill" so I can continue looking fabulous. read more

If there was an option to give Kylie more than five stars, I would! This woman is amazing and so talented! I've never had my hair dyed, so I was a bit nervous, plus my hair is jet black and my goal was to go silver. Kylie's initial response time was incredible, she immediately got me in for a consultation. She actually took the time out to hear what I wanted, discuss and explain the process in a manner that I would understand. She explained to me every step of the process and let me know of the obvious results of bleaching hair (bleach is damaging, I get that, it will dry out your hair a bit). The wonderful thing about Kylie is, she will go out of her way to make sure you leave that salon feeling like a million bucks and if you don't, she will do everything in her power to make sure you're happy. She truly takes a lot of pride in her work and it shows. She wants to make sure you're getting what you want and still leaving with healthy, beautiful hair. With me personally, she emphasized keeping my hair healthy during the process, rather than bleaching it until it's dead! I'm still undergoing the journey to silver but with every appointment, I get lighter and lighter! And I couldn't be happier with each result! Her prices are reasonable. Her attention to detail is beyond what you'd expect or get anywhere else! And Kylie herself? Well, I've never met a sweeter person with such devotion and love for what she does! She genuinely cares about her clients, their hair and their satisfaction. She gets just as excited for my hair as I do! And it's extremely refreshing to see her enthusiasm! I could go on and on about Kylie and her amazing work, there's a reason she's gotten so many rave reviews! read more

A quick 20 minute drive from my home in Scottsdale resulted in the best stylist I have been to since moving to AZ 20 months ago. There is a reason Kylie has so many positive comments and five star reviews- she is completely engrossed in her profession! She has a passion for styling that I haven't seen in quite awhile and her talent is amazing. After growing out a horrible layered haircut for the last two years, I was finally able to get my hair to one length and I am beyond happy that I chose to go to Moxie. I was a bit nervous to go to a new stylist for such a big change but I am so glad that I took the chance because my hair looks amazing. Thank you, Kylie, for giving me my beautiful hairstyle back and for truly have fun with your choices in coloring and cutting! I can not wait to go back and I can not emphasize enough how much you should try Kylie for your next haircut. She is truly wonderful! read more

Kylie is the absolute queen of color! Not to mention just plain fun to be around, I was blessed to have found her here in Telluride, won't let anyone else touch this head!! read more

I'm so happy I found Kylie and Moxie Salon. She fixed my color and trimmed the fried remains of an over-processed highlight that I received from another salon. Kylie takes pride in her work and is committed to understanding her clients' needs and wants. I started seeing Kylie after my previous colorist left the big name salon that I had been going to for years. That salon scheduled me with a new colorist who they swore was just as good (and just as expensive), but I walked out of there with frizzy urine colored streaks in my hair instead of highlights. I waited a few months for my hair to grow out and recover some, then started actively looking for a new salon. I read sooo many yelp reviews, but found myself totally turned off at the prospect of calling a salon and getting placed with whoever had the most openings. So, I took a leap of faith and decided to try an independent stylist - Kylie! So far I've seen Kylie for two cuts and two partial highlights. Both my cut and color have turned out beautifully each visit. She takes her time and makes sure the results are up to your standards and hers as well. When discussing possible colors and cuts, she takes into consideration your unique skin color, face shape, and head shape! There's definitely a science to good hair and Kylie is passionate about educating herself and her clients. Kylie's services are reasonably priced (about the same as a mid-level salon) and she uses high-end hair care products (I bought some dry-shampoo from her during my last visit and I LOVE it!). I haven't had any issues with scheduling my appointments, but keep in mind that because she is an independent stylist, there isn't a receptionist answering her phone and making appointments while she's busy with clients. In other words, if you get her voicemail, leave a message and she'll call you back. Moxie Salon is located inside Palette Collective which is a studio that houses a number of independent stylist suites (I had no idea what that place was before seeing Kylie, but now I feel like I'm "in the know"). There is a coffee and wine bar in the foyer of the studio so you can grab a quick drink before visiting with your stylist! read more

Kylie definitely cares about her work! For starters you are scheduled for a consultation never have I had a stylist spend time with me to tell them exactly what I want and what to expect. In the past I got ombré done and ended up fried so I had to chop all my hair off. I was really scared about the process because I had to wait 4 years to grow it all back but she made me feel really comfortable and informed me of the options we could go so it wouldn't happen again. Ended up doing the technique called painting and love it. The place was super cute and there is a bar/coffee shop which I highly recommend to stop and get a drink before your appointment. Definitely want to come back for the b3 treatment which she offers or for any touch ups she's amazing! read more

Kylie is amazing!!!! After searching and searching for a new stylist, I found Kylie through yelp and checked out her IG page and decided to schedule a consultation. Kylie responded promptly and after meeting with her, I scheduled an appointment. Kylie did a phenomenal job! She is so personable and kind. She truly cares about her clients and I love that she uses Kevin Murphy products. She is great at what she does and I am so in love with what she did to my hair! If you are looking for an awesome new stylist, Kylie is your girl! read more

BACKGROUND I got my first set of eyelash extensions one year ago, and have been getting them done every 1-2 weeks ever since. One of the most frustrating problems I've encountered is that most people who do extensions won't do fills on a set done by someone else. That means that even though I may only need a fill, I am often required to have my set removed and a new set added, which is both a huge increase in price and time sitting in the chair. MOXIE SALON I was happy with my extensions, but just needed a quick fill, so I checked on Yelp and found Kylie at Moxie Salon. I was thrilled that she was willing to do a fill without requiring me to remove my current set. Another cool thing about Kylie is that she prices fills by time (60 or 90 minutes), so the price and time in the chair is up to me. Obviously, the longer visit allows her to give a much fuller fill, but it's not always necessary. THE STORY When I made my first appointment, Kylie told me she was located at the Palette Collective Complex. Palette Collective Complex is a trendy share-space comprised of beauty boutiques and hair salons all individually owned and operated with a Provision Coffee Bar on Gilbert Road just South of 202 at Germann Road. Not much is more enjoyable than having the option to have a delicious coffee or a fresh beer before embarking on any activity, especially routine activities which involve time consuming sitting. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a super friendly barista who suggested the Orange Blossom Wheat Beer on draft, which he allowed me to take to my lash appointment. Absolute heaven. Kylie met me up front and took me to her salon space, which is decorated classic chic and the lash chair is very comfortable. It's pretty awesome getting my lashes done all curled up with a blanket and a beer and gossiping with Kylie. SERVICE EXPERIENCE I get full volume 10-11's in inner edge which flair out to 14-15's. I am very particular about my lashes and if I have any requests or changes, Kylie accommodates me right away. Kylie does incredible work and I always leave extremely happy. Although I originally went to Kylie for a quick fill, I wound up switching to her full time. Lashes are such a luxury and it's nice to be treated that way. CONCLUSION 5/5 HIGHLY RECOMMEND OF NOTE *Kylie also does gorgeous hair styling and color at the same location. There are quite a few before and after pictures on her Yelp page. *Hours: Mon 10am-6pm Wed & Fri 11am-8pm Sat 9am-6pm And by appointment *There is plenty of self-parking out front. *Check out Moxie Salon's Yelp page for more information! read more

Kylie does great, careful work! Since I had not done anything major to my hair for almost 3 years, I was very anxious to put color back into it after working so hard to grow it out. Kylie allowed me to communicate my concerns to her and even wanted to know exactly what worried me so she could educate me about what she would be doing. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I am ecstatic with the results! I wanted subtle balayage that looked natural and brightened me up and that's exactly what I got! I also love how Kylie styled my hair! Perfect waves to show off the new color! Kylie is efficient with her time but does quality work, making sure to deliver the absolute best possible results to her client. Always splurge on the deep conditioning treatment; especially if you color your hair! It's so worth it and Kylie's hands work magic on your scalp. Her salon is super cute and all her own! You can even enjoy a glass of wine or iced coffee from the cafe up front of Palette Collective (where Moxie Salon is located). Enjoy! read more

Moxie Loft - Touch up #3 of hand painting and a cut/style! Very happy with the results!! - Hair Salons Near Me - Telluride, Colorado

Okay, I can't say enough great things about Kylie and Moxie Salon. I previously reviewed her establishment based on her eyelash extension service and a hair cut.... But now that I've had my hair colored by her, I'm certain she's a hair goddess. I've got very pale blonde hair naturally that's a little longer than shoulder length and I've never had my hair colored prior to last weekend. Kylie spent hours perfecting my pastel pink with purple lowlights hair. I can't believe how soft and healthy my hair is after bleaching it khaleesi blonde. Kylie used incredible products that totally saved my hair. I've already gotten so many compliments on my perfect pale pink hair. Im so excited I finally found a reliable hair stylist I can't live without! Kylie is amazing and put so much time and effort into making sure I was totally in love with my hair. Definitely recommend her for any of the services she offers. read more

I feel like I've finally found my hair person! Kylie did an amazing job on my hair today. I told her what I liked and we went over a few pictures and the results were better than expected! They have a coffee bar upfront for guests that want to buy delicious coffee. Getting hair done and drinking coffee is the way to go. Love it! read more

I've been going to Kylie to get my hair done for 5 years and I have never left her salon unsatisfied. She is the queen of stylists and she will amaze you with her talent. A few weeks ago I got my hair painted by her and it turned out so perfect, I'll never go to anyone else. More recently I also started seeing her to get eyelash extensions. Yesterday I got a full set of volume lashes. They are incredible and light weight, I can't even feel them. OMG I love them so much and she's so gentle and precise. I never even considered getting them done until she told me she got certified to do them. I knew she would do a great job and I could trust her. I am a forever client of Moxie salon and if you want the best salon experience, you should give her a call. Thanks Ky! read more

I am beyond happy I found Kylie @Moxie Salon!! From the moment I contacted her I knew I was going to love her and that my hair was going to be in excellent hands. The unique thing about Kylie is the fact that she sets up a consultation with you prior to your initial appointment to not only get to know you but your hair needs as well. I had a cut and color (paint) done and the whole time we talked and laughed, she's so bubbly and fun that I didn't even realize I was there for almost 3hrs. Kylie is AMAZING. After a not so pleasant lash extension experience at another salon, I came to Kylie in a panic. My previous lash extensions had left me partially lash-less on one eye. Thanks to Yelp I found my forever stylist. My old stylist moved out of state which left me scrambling to find a replacement. I was getting ready for a business trip and was really under the gun to find someone l. I started combing thru reviews on yelp because I heard that this was the best forum to find legit reviews you can trust. Well I'm glad I did. After reading thru several reviews for Kylie I decided to take the plunge and contact her for an appointment one Saturday morning. One ad suggested texting her vs leaving a message on Yelp so I did. Within 30 minutes Kylie responded and I had an appointment 3 days later. I definitely am grateful I chose Kylie because she is awesome!!! She listened to what I wanted, provided suggestions and even gave me tips for styling. Not only will I be a return customer, I'll be taking my teenage daughter to her as well. Kylie thank you for taking GREAT care of me! read more
