We have a whole weekend planned for camping! Our RV place told us to call Schuling Hitch. We told them our story and even tho they were booked solid today they told us to come in ASAP. We were greeted right away and told to give them 30 to see what was going on. They looked over the truck and found the issue was our fuse box. The technician had us fixed in no time and gave us a quick lesson on how the break controller works. We were expecting an enormous bill and was thrilled with a $32.86 charge. Schuling definitely saved our weekend!!!

Steve came highly recommended by our friends, Jim and Darcey Widmann, and now we know why. After shopping all over Des Moines for a truck, we encountered dealerships that either patronized us, hassled us, or made us feel like we didn't know what we were talking about. Some even tried to convince us that we couldn't get what we wanted. But when we walked into Toyota of Des Moines, it was a completely different experience. From the moment we were greeted, we felt welcomed and respected. Steve allowed us to choose the vehicle we wanted without any hassle. Every incentive was explained upfront, and the level of transparency was refreshing. What truly set them apart was their willingness to meet our needs on the trade-in. We were told by a Ford dealer (who originally sold us the Bronco) that we could never get the trade-in value we wanted, but Toyota gave us exactly what we asked for--no questions asked. Steve and the entire team at Toyota of Des Moines worked with urgency, respect, and professionalism to finalize the deal in a way that left us completely satisfied. This level of customer care and attention to our needs is what made us feel valued. Toyota of Des Moines embodies what it means to be a true car dealership. We are now proud Toyota brand loyalists and look forward to a lifetime of Toyota ownership, provided the company continues to deliver on its promise of quality in both manufacturing and sales. If you're out there shopping for a vehicle and struggling to find a dealership that truly listens and puts the customer first, look no further than Toyota of Des Moines. Thank you, Steve Henigan, and the entire team--you have earned our loyalty!

He called ahead and told them I'd be right over; I missed the driveway on the first pass, but found ample parking in front of the less than impressive brick building. Joe made me a quick, free estimate, gave me a timeline and business card in case I decided to pursue it. Really no pressure at all. Then cue my frustrating insurance company wanting their own people to do inspection/estimate, which ended up being about a hundred less than what Joe had said. The claims adjuster made things sound really complicated when I called to tell her the prices didn't match; so I called Auto Top back for help. Lyle was reassuring on the phone and then again when I went in person to show my insurance paperwork and make an appointment/deposit. They offered to call and deal with the insurance people... thank you! It gets better! My school schedule is hard to plan around and I had some other commitments to complicate things, but they set me up for the VERY NEXT DAY. Lyle gave me a ride home after I dropped of my car at 8am and offered to come back for me at the end of the day. Very courteous. I just picked up my car with its new vinyl top and plastic window -- it looks amazing. I'm quite pleased. Moreover, the price discrepancy went away! Very happy customer, thank you!

Naturally the next morning, I was traveling to Iowa City and my car didn't start. I jumped it and away I went! Got to Iowa City tried to start it again.. No dice, got a jump and just kept it running, it made it home and I dropped it off at Drake Garage for the night dropped the keys in the slot and left a note! The guys at Drake Garage, checked out the car front to back and gave me a call with the damage! Yep I needed a new battery, some filters, fixed my broken seat belt and did the oil change! They let me know what was needed to be fixed now and what could wait. I loved the honesty! Took care of the car and I then I switched it out for my other car! That one just needed an oil change, thankfully! Anyway they went over all the costs with me, and walked me through everything! I dug that! They were always super professional both over the phone and in person! And one of the guys commented on my Vikings hat and said he was a fan too, so we had a nice Vikes bond! I was told the work on my car would cost $500. I left the car with them, and it sat in their garage for a week with no updates. Then suddenly, they said I would have to pay $2,100. Two days later, they changed the price again to $2,700. The next day, they said they would give me a 10% "first-time discount" and finally charged me $2,500. All of this was for just fixing the AC. To make it worse, they broke my front bumper in the process. When I asked them to fix it, they didn't take responsibility--instead, they called the police on me. The owner was very rude and unprofessional. I strongly believe they took advantage of me because I am a refugee and not fluent in English. This place is dishonest and abusive. I regret ever trusting them and will make sure no one else from my community makes the same mistake.
