Long overdue review of what's become a second home and family for me!…read more My wife and I have been members since this location opened in December 2020. I'll be honest that at first I wasn't planning to join nor stay more than a few weeks. Having done group training such as CrossFit and others in the past, and never felt much sense of community or that trainers cared nor knew anything about me. Aside from some of the best training, and MANY very challenging workouts. The sense of community and trainers actually knowing their members is where F45 Old Town is truly different than most other gyms! The community among members getting together for events sponsored by F45 and many of us becoming friends outside of our workouts is special, and something I'm grateful for. So with that being said... If you're looking to challenge yourself physically and meet an awesome group of folks while you're at it. I'd encourage you to reach out to Allen and any of the other coaches and meet the SOT Squad! Cheers, Eric

You wear a heart rate monitor and it calculates your heart rate and all kinds of other information which allows you to adjust your workout in real time. The information is also emailed to you so you can review it and adjust your future workouts. You continue to burn calories well after the work out. The staff was extremely friendly. The coach was fantastic. They have a full locker room with showers. Unfortunately, the lighting in this space gave me a migraine and I won't be able to go back(orange lights mixed with natural sunlight). Lighting is something I personally get migraines from and is not a reflection of the space.

I purchased a Groupon for five Zumba classes here with a friend. I don't live that close, but for…read morethe $7 for five classes, I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm so glad I did! I only have one pass left out of the five, but I've enjoyed coming here so much. The vibe is so fun & welcoming! I've also gone here alone, and have totally felt comfortable because the instructors foster a nice bond with the class. The level of difficulty can vary depending on the instructor. However, any and everyone is encouraged to participate, take a break when they need to, drink water at any time, etc! I never feel pressured to follow the moves exactly as they are. Instead, I just have fun with it and laugh at myself when I'd mess up - the instructors are just that fun and friendly! This is located kind of in an isolated corner off the 51 exit. There is plenty of parking and while the area might seem deserted, there's a sign outside so you'll find it right away.

Once arrived, very friendly if a bit disorganized. Class did not start on time. Studio presents as tired and unclean. I didn't dare use the bathroom. Disorganized was due to teacher called in sick. Understandable. Several little ones present. So cool that they get to stay with their mamas. Not cool that the music is so loud that their developing ears will suffer. Concrete floors combined with my bad feet, can't be a good outcome. No instructions just loud music and you follow along. If all you want is an hour of movement and kind of dancing, it is that. All age ranges and ability levels and plenty of potential for injuries with no cautions about them. Definitely a lot of movement.

I go between this location and the Tempe gym on Guadalupe & McClintock. I take class most often…read morewith Rico, he's fantastic! The other trainers at this location are great as well. I love that I can use OTF in many locations and the gym layout is generally the same and workouts are going to be challenging and effective. My opinion on places like Orangetheory or other group fitness places is that for someone *new* to working out, it's sometimes useful to start in a less intense workout environment. Not everyone thinks that, but I've observed myself over the years and anytime I do group fitness classes I tend to push myself much harder than I would working out alone (which is a great benefit). There's a lot of high energy going around in a group setting, however without a solid foundation of safe body mechanics and knowing one's own body, it can be possible to go too fast, push beyond what is reasonable, and get hurt. OTF is great for people building up their fitness levels and have a habit of exercising in some capacity. All levels are welcome but just know the workouts are fast paced and intense most of the time. I had stopped going to group weight training classes for a period of time, then started working 1:1 with a trainer, and when I returned to OTF I could tell the difference in how I prioritized doing the moves correctly and with good form, versus just going fast, using momentum, or trying to keep up with others. That's just my 2 cents. Overall, I keep going to OTF because it's one of many things that helps keeps my body moving and that's a good thing for my functional capacity as I continue to age. And it helps maintain my overall health & fitness as I continue to work my way through my long Yelp list of places to eat ;)

Amazing crew here combined with addictive fun workouts. I've been an OTF girls for years and could…read morenot be happier with this new studio. Customer service is a 10+. Absolutely
