We decided to give them a try to see if they could help with a dance for our wedding. We had about 45 days to prep. Natasha was great. She helped choreograph a dance, we signed up for lessons and everything went great. The studio is fantastic. Everyone is super nice and they were all vested in our success. We are going to continue after our wedding. Super positive and encouraging group of people. Thank you! read more

Great experience with our first dance lesson here! I would highly recommend this studio for any one with any level of experience

We love this studio! My wife and I have been working with Julia and Dima, and they're fantastic instructors. As beginners, we've already picked up several Tango and Rumba moves in just a few lessons. They create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere when we arrive and are incredibly positive and encouraging throughout the sessions. We're excited to keep learning and can't wait to perform a full dance! read more

Great experience and fantastic staff! Highly recommend! Julia is so patient and a great teacher!

My fiancée chose this dance studio so we could get practice being comfortable dancing in front of our wedding guests. We decided to go with their wedding package. You are able to sign up for that package, but you don't have to commit to (& pay for) all 8 (I think it was) sessions. This has been very helpful for us with our budget. :) Our instructors (Natasha & Mateo) have been wonderful! Very kind & encouraging throughout the whole process. They have made us feel amazing even though we are not skilled dancers by any means. They also helped us choreograph our first dance, which we were not initially planning on doing as these lessons were just for comfort's sake with doing something we've never done before. With that being said, we absolutely LOVE the dance they created for us & cannot help but strive to learn it. We have had so much fun with this & cannot wait to debut our first dance! read more

My son and daughter have danced at FADS-North Scottsdale for more than a year. The instructors are extremely capable and friendly, and both have made great progress although my son dances more than my daughter. Both are also figure skaters. I recently started myself, and it is fun and good exercise. It is a friendly and supportive environment. read more

Great, welcoming, warm staff and the teachers are fantastic! My 14 yr old son is doing better than my wildest dreams! I never thought my autistic, awkward son would like ballroom dancing and could be almost graceful after only a couple of months. My 11 yr old figure skating daughter is doing great as expected and it is enhancing her posture and grace on the ice. read more

My husband and I took our first class last evening with Kirill. I bought a gift certificate for Valentine's Day as a fun activity for both of us to do it together. We were quite hesitant earlier in the day since we are not so good dancers and did not know what expect, but Kirill, our instructor, made the class so enjoyable and made us feel very comfortable. We decided to sign up for more classes and are looking forward to turn into better social dancers. I see how connecting it is to dance with your husband outside the business of our lives. The studio is very inviting and clean. The front desk and all other employees were very professional and friendly. I highly recommended this activity and location. read more

My experience so far has been great! Prior to taking lessons, I never felt comfortable dancing, but my instructor, Matteo, has done a great job of breaking me out of my shell as a complete beginner. I also thought I'd only do one trial lesson but ended up paying for more because of how great of a teacher he is. Also, the staff are very approachable and friendly which helps even more. Definitely would recommend to just about anyone. read more

Love love love this studio. The teacher are amazing. All of them are highly professional and well experienced. Not every studio has this. It took me a while to find this level of professionalism. Danik is my Latin instructor and Kirill is my smooth dance instructor. My level of dancing transformed big time since I joined this studio. My 5yo daughter takes group classes here as well. Can't recommend this studio enough!!! read more

I called in the day before a dance date in Cave Creek to get a refresher on the Two Step. My instructor was fantastic! He not only prepared me well with the AZ Two Step and TX Two Step but also introduced me to Waltz, Rumba, Foxtrot to get me practice and comfort with following the Lead! All this in just the first lesson and SO MUCH FUN!! My date said I was a great dancer. Thank you, Fred Astaire North Scottsdale, for being the terrific studio you are! I recommend them highly. read more

This was the greatest experience ever. We are so grateful to this studio for their time, attention to detail and care they had with us for our entire time. We would not be able to have. Beautiful choreographed first dance at our wedding without them. The staff was kind and always welcoming. A major shout out to Mateo for every lesson, laugh, and being such an incredible instructor. We have are so grateful and can't recommend this enough to anyone, even if you have no dancing experience. Because trust me - we had none! read more

AVOID USING THIS BUSINESS! They are liars and scammers. It bothers me to have to write this negative review but I have given them many opportunities to redeem themselves. They may sound sweet over the phone especially Sophia and Anastasia whom I spoke to many times. Here is the story, I bought an introductory dance lesson for my son and future daughter-in-law for their wedding dance. Sophia told me they would receive two 45 min lessons, shown some dance moves with their wedding song and practice together for $99. This did not happen. It was so disappointing for them and me. Dimitri played a role in this scam as well. When they arrived at the studio they were taken on a 20 min tour of the studio to be shown bathrooms and lockers of which they didn't need. This time cut into their lesson, where each of them danced apart with someone for 25 min which took the remainder of the 45 min. and that was considered their two 45 min lessons. Then Dimitri tried to up sell a dance package , more than once , for $700-800. This occurred a month before their wedding. I called to express my dissatisfaction and they were very apologetic. Don't be fooled! I just wanted my money back and they had me file out forms to credit my card. I followed their direction and my card was never credited. I called them two to three times afterward and they assured me it would be handled. Mind you I began a refund request in October and they still have not honored anything they have said. If I could give them zero stars I would! Don't waste your time or money on this company, they will take and never look back. read more

Everyone is super nice here & welcoming. Have had one lesson so far and it was fun and easy to learn, got lost on the Foxtrot but Perla, the instructor, was very patient with me. Really nice fun people work here! All ages and experience dance here. Tuesday night was a Group Hustle Lesson. Amazing how easy it is to pick up and add on more things. Our group of 5 instructors and 9 dancers had a blast. Great music. And got a workout! Michael and Ray gave us a private lesson and I think I learned 6 different dances from Foxtrot, Swing, Box, Rumba, Salsa, Hustle. Very easy when you have a good teacher. Grab your partner and add some fun to your life! ;) read more

My fiancé and I had a couples lesson today for our first dance. Lesa helped us not only choose a song, but choreograph a dance that was perfect for our lack of experience and let us make it our own. So excited to show our guests the dance! Thanks Lesa and Fred Astaire Studio. read more

Great experience! Loved our instructor:) my husband and I had a great time learning new dances before our vacation.

My husband and I went to this studio to learn dancing and choreograph our first dance for our wedding reception. We took 5-6 classes before our wedding and had a great time! Our instructor Tara was amazing! Our dance lessons ended up being a fun and good pre- wedding stress relieving activity for us. I highly recommend this studio. When we get some more free time we may resume classes just for fun. read more

Seldom do I leave reviews, but after my last four lessons here, I felt compelled. My fiancé and I went there to prepare for our first dance. We worked with Tara and it was a fantastic experience. She helped us both to feel confident and gave us a manageable routine so we actually look like we know what we're doing, which is awesome. I highly recommend taking lessons here and will certainly refer anyone looking to learn to dance. read more

The folks at this studio are incredible dancers and great teachers who will make you feel right at home. Lessons are fun and rewarding. You'll gain skills, confidence and friends who feel like family. Did I say fun? I've been taking lessons here for a year, and love it. No previous dance experience of any kind. read more

Recently took a dance class with my boyfriend to get better acquainted with different types of dances! We had a 40-minute, private lesson with Raymond who was patient and friendly. He taught us both a country and latin dance. We had a fun time & wanted some more lessons! Prices run high; Groupon is a great resource if you'd just like a sampler dance lesson. read more

The perfect place to learn to dance and have fun! My husband and I are fans of Dancing with the Stars. We signed up for a few lessons to start and had so much fun, we decided to keep going. The instructors, Lisa and Raymond are so nice and warm and fun to be around. Carrie and Isis are really helpful and fun too. The dances are exactly what we wanted to learn, especially the Tango. They also have group lessons and we met some nice people. This studio is highly recommended and you should go there immediately if you enjoy dancing. It is a lot more fun when you know what to do and have some guidance. read more

My fiancee and I wanted to take some dance lessons so we could have an awesome first dance at our wedding. We started having absolutely no experience. Within only 8 lessons we had our routine down. Raymond was our main instructor . . . he really did a great job in breaking everything down and making it simple for us to learn. Raymond and the entire staff were wonderful to us! I highly recommend if you are looking for a memorable first dance! read more

Had such a blast here for our two private couples lessons. We got the private lessons from groupon and would have easily signed up for the beginner class sessions if we weren't leaving town. Perla and Bruce were such awesome teachers! They went above & beyond for helping us learn enough moves for our upcoming wedding. Thanks again! read more

This place is a rip off, we signed up for the two lesson deal and we were pressured to sign up for six more lessons at the end of the first lesson. We were told we could cancel and receive a refund for any unused lessons at any time. Once we had completed four lessons they started pressuring us agin to pay for more lessons, we decided to cancel our last two lessons and we requested a refund for those two lessons, we have now been waiting for a month and they still have not refunded our money! read more

Kharyton and Perla are great instructors!! They are both very knowledgeable and able to break down complex moves into easier to understand steps. The most important thing though is that they make dancing fun!! read more

I really wanted to give ballroom dancing a try. As soon as I walked in the door of Fred Astaire Scottsdale I was welcomed with smiles and encouragement from Isis, Kerry and Lesa. I immediately knew this was going to be a positive learning environment. I was thrilled to learn about their intro trial classes. After one lesson with Raymond I was totally hooked. There are dancers of all ages and all levels. I've taken very basic lessons with my husband and love the challenge of learning and dancing with Raymond. Each teacher is positive and enthusiastic and they absolutely tailor the training to meet your specific goals. HIGHLY recommend this studio!!! read more

I just started taking dance lessons at the studio and love them. Everyone is so friendly and my instructor, Sarah, is fantastic. She is really patient and helpful as we learn new steps. She really was helpful in understanding what I wanted to learn and catering the program to meet those needs. Worth the cost of the lessons. Can't wait to hit the dance floor and dance the night away!! read more

We have been very pleased with the quality of instructors at Fred Astaire Scottsdale. They are very welcoming and go out of their way to provide a friendly, fun and positive atmosphere. We came to the studio having never danced before and with their dance process and using both male and female instructors, it has really helped us both as a couple progress in our dancing. The social dances are well done and provide a fun opportunity to practice what we have learned. Great group, lots of fun and a professional environment! read more
