A nice reprieve from all the Porto walking! We walked about a mile to get to Moustache for a coffee and an orange juice. We ordered the coffee butter and toast, expecting to want to order a breakfast entree after we finished thats, but if canned with a lot of bread. The Coheed butter V was bnb interesting, but n not that impressive. It was actually coffee flavored butter. It's worth a try, but We didn't need to go back to try it again. The coffee bc at mustache is SOLID and the interior of the restaurant is truly adorable. read more

Awesome coffee house overlooking the Carlos Alberto Square. They have four different seating areas which is nice we chose to sit outdoors though. Looks like its a hip place with Portuguese locals hanging out there. My favorite item was definitely the Banoffe pie wow. It was light sweet and buttery. Would highly recommend that with your cappuccino or latte. I loved the panda design on my latte which was creamy and perfectly made. Also liked the three pancake stack with fresh blueberries. You can choose 4 items on pancakes which make it customizable too. The knife and fork open veggie sandwich was a huge hit with the wifey. It was made with brie cheese, roasted peppers, avocado, oregano, olive oil and pepper. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and sweet. read more

I bet this is the biggest hipster place in Porto, but why care about that if they serve the absolute best homemade ice tea (in so many flavors!) and cakes? Exactly. They also speak very good English here, which isn't too common in Porto, but I wish it would have been a bit lighter inside. read more

I read about this place on Trip Advisor before visiting. The ambiance is super cute and relaxing. There's a cute loft area upstairs that seems like a cool place to hang out. Their pastries and iced lattes were amazing, and the service was great! Definitely recommend stopping by and beating the crowds for Majestique Cafe! read more

Beautiful cafe! With it being rainy and chilly outside, I wanted somewhere to relax and found this gem. The store people are very friendly and were okay with my English. I got the blueberry tea for 1.3 euros, very delicious and warmed me up. There's locals mingling at the table, some studying on their laptops. There's also an upstairs area with sofa chairs. I absolutely love the vibes of this cafe, and it is quite nicely located, right nearby the Lello bookstore and an array of other shops and restaurants. It has a nicely lit and spacious interior, with lots of outlets, comfy chairs, and big tables that are perfect for sitting and reading/doing work and socializing alike. I got a chai caramelo which was delicious and under €2 - a refreshing change after some of the touristy, higher-priced places in Porto. Service was fast and friendly, and the WiFi connection is great. The decor is nicely done but simple, with a very modern feel. I could stay here for hours! read more

When on vacation, I like trying a bunch of new places but we just kept coming back to this coffee house because it was the only coffee in Portugal that I actually enjoyed! I know that everyone wants you to go to Majestic Café or Progresso around the corner but this was our favourite! They don't put too much milk in the cappuccinos are lattes compared to other places in Portugal and that makes me happy. read more

Muito Bom! My wife (ela é Portuguesa) and I come to visit Porto often. And this year we found this little spot. We live in San Francisco, and this cafe felt a little like home. It had great service, quality food & pastries, and very good Cafe latte & Chai latte. The Sangria was also very good! I am sure we will drop by for a drink & snack every chance we get when in town. A good place if you're after a good shot of a proper coffee. The only downside is that they don't wait tables or have a pickup order spot so if you're on the line you have to wait for everyone to choose, pay and wait for the order to be prepared. Took 45 minutes being the third on the line. Not fun. read more

Do you enjoy coffee? If you do then you should come here for a cup and some lounginess upstairs. This place isn't too far away from what you want to see in Porto. Plus they offer a wide number of options for coffee that should allow anyone from the US to go here instead of Starbucks or Costa Coffee. We climbed a long way to get to Moustache hoping for a good coffee as Portuguese coffee culture is not super developed. Unfortunately they did not deliver to expectations from the reviews we had heard. The cappuccino had good dense foam but flavors were pretty flat. Also they had run out of pastel de nata, we were pretty sad. Hopefully my experience was just a blip as it seemed popular with locals. read more

Great place with lots of seating. Don't be distracted by the fake hipsters and tourists that congregate out front - go upstairs! Prices are a little high (by Porto standards, which is to say not much if you're used to US prices) to make this a daily coffee stop, but a good place if you've got a craving for an iced coffee or something other than a plain espresso - it happens to the best of us. Will be back next time I'm in Porto for sure read more

This place is adorable, hip, and fun. The service was great and the espresso was also amazing. My husband and I shared a piece of cheesecake as well that was wonderful. This is a great spot for reading, writing, or simply having a chat. If I lived in Porto, I would hang out here all the time. The only problem is they only take cash or local credit cards. read more
