My first experience with Mountainside Spa was at the Cotopaxi 5k/10k race at Alta earlier this fall. They had small stations set up for shoulder and leg massages. I waited in line for a shoulder massage and wow am I glad I did. I recently got around to booking a full body massage with Rachel and it was wonderful. The atmosphere is professional, welcoming, and relaxing. I came in with a bit of a head cold, and Rachel offered to use some wonderful essential oils to help my sinuses- HEAVEN. Will definitely be back, in fact I booked my next appointment directly after my massage. A great atmosphere and experience with a very reasonable price tag. read more

We had a good experience at Mountainside Spa. I felt that the place was clean, organized, and that the treatments were good. We did a 90 minute massage and a 90 minute facial. For the massage, it was unlike anything else I have ever had. He did pressure point massage therapy, so it was not fluid movements. He did focus on what I requested, which I really appreciated it. I would give that massage a 4.5/5. The facial was good as well. My face looked clean afterward and was glowing. Something I really wish she would have done was tell me what she was doing during the facial, as I had no idea what was going on and I would have appreciated knowing what exactly she was putting on my face for knowledge. The facial I would say was 4/5. The area where I feel this spa needs the most work is the ambiance. They are listed as a day spa, but the waiting/relaxing area was super cramped and not private at all. There was no reading material to look at while waiting. The restroom was clean, but cramped. The area was not private so if you are someone who prefers nudity in the sauna/steam room, it likely would feel uncomfortable. I feel this is more of a place for a treatment, not really a day spa. I took my daughter here as a treat before her bridal shower . We scheduled a "spa day" a bit late so we were grateful to get appointments. We both had 90 minute facials and 90 minute massages . The facial was very good . The massage was not the best I have ever had . The environment is NOT a day spa . Yes there is a steam room and a Infra Sauna however it is all located in a very small area and men are walking through that area . I was just about to drop my robe to go into the steam room and a man that worked there walked through. Eek So if you are looking for a Spa Day experience this isn't it . Hands down, one of the best massages I've ever gotten thanks to Willie! (And that's saying a lot, because I get massages often) The spa itself is super clean, modern, and feels exactly how a spa should. Went in for a 120 Mins Massage with Aromatherapy with Brynnley, it was AMAZING! She was so tentative to my needs. She really listened to my problem areas and the Aromatherapy was amazing all throughout the massage. She was a trooper the whole 120 mins. I HIGHLY recommend going and seeing her! My husband and I had a great experience today at Mountainside Spa. I highly recommend Amy for a 90 minute sports and/or deep tissue massage as she isn't afraid to use pressure and really work out the knots. My husband saw Christy and was very pleased as well. I mentioned my quads were having a hard time relaxing due to a morning bike ride and she gave them some attention too. I am of the mind, if I can't say something nice than don't say anything at all. But I am so bugged by my experince at Mountainside Spa I thought it worth sharing. We booked 4 massages for a girls day out-b'day celebration at 10 am. The night before we were contacted and told the appointments had to be staggered. 2 at 10, one at 1030 and one at 11. We said ok. We understood- stuff happens.. right? I took the 11 and arrived at 1045. At 11 I was told that my service was now moved to 1130 ( meaning that my friends who went before me) would now be waiting on me for at least an hour AND we had lunch reservations. I was not offered even an APOLOGY for this inconvenince. An Apology would have gone a long way, but all I got from the owner was a shrug and a well I can't get you in till 1130. I said forget it. At this point, there was still no apolgy and neither was I offered to reschedule at a different time. As a customer I had no value to them. Very disapointing. read more
