I used to work in homeless services and there is a concept called "meeting people where they are at" rather than where they should be. I feel like Jun met my body where it was at, and not where it should be. In other words she was adaptable, intuitive, and really got into the core problem areas. When I got home, my wife commented that my posture was better. I usually don't get such good improvement with only one session. She was also super friendly and had great energy to be around. All around a great experience.

There's a bit of language barrier and not much communication before getting started, but she was skilled enough to find the problem areas and work them out. She asked multiple times about the pressure and made adjustments, concentrating on areas I pointed out. The main issue I experienced was the constant interruptions. When the phone rang or another customer walked in, she would leave to answer without saying anything. She also stepped out for a few minutes to discuss something with her coworker. There were probably 5-6 separate incidents so it completely disrupted the flow, yet the massage still finished on the hour. I paid in cash to avoid the credit card charge, but it was awkward. I had to ask for change back and instead of just giving me the correct amount, she asked how much - as in, what's the tip?

For starters, I am also a massage therapist, and have been getting massages my entire life and it's really hard to make me feel unsettled during them. I usually love coming to places like this, and came in last night because my hamstrings were incredibly tight. The room was dead silent and had no music which wasn't the end of the world but made it feel a little awkward. The guy massaging me was mostly just pushing lotion around and I asked 3-4 times for more pressure, he said ok, and then didn't go any deeper. To make matters worse, I'm nearly positive he was texting through most of it. His phone would vibrate right by my head, and then suddenly he'd only have one hand kinda absently thumbing at my neck for a minute or two. He had the sheet draped almost off my butt it was so low but despite this, didn't ever work into my glutes at all. My feet were also never worked. I got him to go a bit deeper on my legs which is what I mostly needed, but again, just palm kneading. He then left, I assumed he went to get something but after ten minutes (of only an hour long massage) passed, I started to wonder if it was supposed to be over but when I lifted my head the door was wide open for anyone to walk by. Eventually, a woman came back in, grabbed the sheet so suddenly and almost pulled it entirely off of me, until it was once again, draped along the bottom of my butt. She then undraped both of my legs so the fabric was sorta just piled up between my thighs (this is an illegal drape by the way) , and used a hot towel to clean me off. Despite no one having worked my glutes, she came up under the little bit of covering, separating with her hands as she moved. I don't think it was intentional or anything of course, but the hot towel was fully touching my genitals. I've been to a lot of traditional massage places and I'm fine being entirely nude with nothing but a towel covering my butt if I feel like I can anticipate the flow of the massage and the session goes smoothly and allows me to relax and trust the therapist but this wasn't that. I'm used to the tapotement moves to wake up the body but she was fully just smacking my spine hard. She flipped me over them and I finally got some really good pressure on my head and arms but it was 5 minutes or less at that point, compressed the front of my legs but didn't uncover them. The massage ended and when I paid she reminded me that it was 70 by pointing to the sign, I said yes that's fine, she said it was also 3 dollars for using a credit card, again that's fine, and then she handed me a receipt where she ran the card for 83, ten dollars extra. I was kinda jarred at this point and just wanted to leave so didn't say anything. I was already going to tip and still did on top of that. Maybe I shouldn't have, but I still got some relief and I always tip, it was mostly habitual but feel like it was an uncomfortable, interrupted massage that I got charged extra for.

After reading Dylans reviews I made an appointment and he has honestly changed my life. Before seeing Dylan I was in a wheelchair 75%-100% of the time. When she took me back to the room, the massage bed was not made, so she had to prepare it in front of me. The actual massage did not begin until around 1:10 PM, and by the time she told me we were finished and left the room, it was around 1:50 PM. Because of this, I felt that I received closer to a 40-minute massage rather than the full 60 minutes that I had paid for. Mariah was very nice and sweet, but unfortunately, the overall experience was not as relaxing or fulfilling as I had hoped. She spent a significant amount of time talking and seemed to focus on the same area for what felt like almost 20 minutes. I had specifically mentioned which areas I wanted her to focus on, but I also requested an overall full-body massage. My arms were not massaged at all, and I had to ask her to massage the backs of my legs when I noticed that she was planning to massage only my feet after finishing my back. She also mentioned that she would show me some pressure points that could help with lymphatic drainage, but that never happened. That may have contributed to my confusion about whether the full massage time had been completed. However, when I looked at the time, it was clear that the appointment ended before 2:00 PM. When I asked her to massage my legs, I also felt that there wasn't much pressure or technique involved--it felt more like lotion was simply being rubbed onto my legs and feet. Unfortunately, the massage itself was not very relaxing for me. I want to emphasize that Mariah was very kind and pleasant. My disappointment is not with her personality, but with the overall service and the amount of time and attention I received for the 60-minute massage I paid for. I left feeling that I did not receive the full service I had expected. For that reason, unfortunately, I will not be returning.
