Our children have been patients at two of the "top-rated" pediatricians as we've moved over the years--and this is the only practice where you're truly treated as a person, not just a number. If you're looking for speed and convenience, you can always go to an assembly-line pediatrician. But if you want a true care team--literally two doctors who will know your children by name, provide thoughtful and individualized treatment, and actually keep you informed--this is the place for you. When I first called, Anastasia let me know they're a smaller practice. So yes, I may wait on hold for a couple minutes while they're helping another patient--but I'll take that any day over the rushed, impersonal care we've experienced elsewhere. At the other offices, they'd order multiple bacterial infection tests based only on symptoms I described over the phone--without even seeing my children. That's not care--that's just billing insurance as quickly as possible. Sky Valley is the complete opposite. Here, they take the time to listen, assess thoughtfully, and treat your family like their own.

During that visit, they went through what I understood to be a routine physical exam. At the end, I was told I needed to come back for the physical, and that what they had just done only counted as a re-establishment of care. I returned for the second visit, expecting something different. Instead, they repeated the exact same steps. Nothing changed. Then, I was billed for both visits separately--one as a re-establishment of care, and one as a physical. In reality, it felt like the same appointment split in two for billing purposes. This practice appears to be more focused on maximizing insurance billing than providing transparent, patient-centered care. I asked for an explanation but received no clear justification, just vague responses. This experience felt deceptive and unfair. I will not be returning, and I recommend others ask very specific questions about how their appointments will be categorized and billed to avoid being taken advantage of.

She is the BEST DOCTOR I've ever had and that is saying a lot because I have a couple of chronic conditions and have seen literally more than 200 doctors! She listens patiently, discusses your illness or disease and its likely course, then discusses the options with you. With me, I feel like I go in to see her, tell how I feel and what my symptoms are, she asks a few clarifying questions and exams me, then she tells me what's wrong and discusses with me how to make it feel better and get better. She is willing to change directions when something is not working and she is also willing to "try it your way" when you come in with thoughts and ideas for a treatment plan that you want to try (as long as it it safe), even if it is not the approach that she would normally advise. She will tell you when you need more advanced or specialized care than she can provide in her office and will refer you to an appropriate specialist. She is always open and honest with her patients. Her office staff are all professional, efficient, and kind. I highly recommend her! If she is not available, Dr. Kurtis Elward, another doctor in that same practice, is also very good.

Dr. Kin seems very dry when you first meet him, but once you've been in a few times his wit and caring attitude take over. He makes his point about your health without making you feel bad. The thing I really like (besides his nurse Melinda) is that Dr. Kin will send you to a specialist when he sees that something in your bloodwork is not quite right. For me, this helped discover an autoimmune disease that left untreated could have put me in dire circumstances. I highly recommend Dr. Kin aand his staff as your next family physician!

I don't feel rushed, and I feel like she is genuinely concerned about my well being and at find the cause of my symptoms, and not just treating the symptom it's self to get me out the door. New patient appointment takes a little while, but after that I've had no issues getting an appointment with either Dr. Voss or her PA rather quickly. In office lab also very convenient. Definitely recommend.
