This studio has it all! Heated and non heated classes. Traditional hatha yoga and vinyasa flow. The teachers and front desk all go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. No where in sandy or salt lake can you get this kind of variety! read more

Love, love, love Mountain Yoga Sandy. The studio is beautiful and quaint. The instructors are experienced and kind and work with me on form every time I go. if you've been there a time or two, they all know your name and treat you like part of the "family". They have over 50 classes a week - so you can always find one that works with your schedule. They also have kids classes, and they time them with the adult classes so the whole family can go. In a hurry? Try their express hot yoga. Never tried yoga before? Go to their community classes the first Saturday of every month and give it a try. They also have one month intro packages that are an amazing deal. read more

I went to Utah on a 2 week vacation. I went to Bikram Yoga Sandy to get in some exercise as it was way to cold to do any running... the class was so full the guys feet behind me were on my mat, and mine bumping into the ladies head in front of me! what a joke that was.. The room never felt like it got to the usual 105 degrees I barely broke a sweat. The bathrooms were stinky and needed to be mopped very badly! I wont be going back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone . read more

One word: childcare! I first came to this studio because it was the only one I could find that offered childcare during a class so that I, a tired mom, could find some type of movement after a difficult postpartum period and I stayed because it became abundantly clear that above all, any-body is welcome at the studio. The class types and times are near dizzying in number and I truly have loved bouncing around all of the incredibly variable class experiences I've had. What a gem of a studio. Clean, well-apportioned and a truly thoughtful experience from start to finish. Also, the app is incredible! I have been practicing at Mountain Yoga for seven or eight years. I joined after I had been in bed for over a year. The staff supported me in starting over to rebuild strength, stamina, and self-esteem. Originally it was only hot yoga, but they have added another non-heated studio with more amazing classes. The teachers are wonderful, and so many have become friends. This is a sanctuary at the base of the canyon. I'm so grateful for Mountain Yoga. read more

Excellent yoga studio. I love their new classes in the hot room - I'm very pleased that they've branched out from only offering traditional Bikram classes. The studio is very clean and I love that they have nice showers available - it's ideal for after taking a hot class. And the new non-heated studio is an excellent addition - i love the variety of classes that they have now including restorative, vinyasa, pilates, barre... This is my second home! I've loved every class and every teacher! My kids love CUBS care too!!

They are so amazingly helpful and friendly. The gym is very clean. There is no bad smells. Everyone is so helpful its amazing. They really make you feel welcomed. They have a ton of class times to choose from. The price is very reasonable. The instructors really believe in the practice which is so obvious by their passion for the class. The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable. Changing area and waiting room very clean. Classes get really packed sometimes. My main complaint is that I was on a 3 month auto pay contract and became so ill that I couldn't even eat or drink for 3 weeks. I had been twice that month and e-mailed them to see if there was anything they could do so that I could use the time I was not able to attend due to illness at another time. They pretty much told me I was out of luck so I literally paid $99 for two classes that month. The studio is nice, but not worth $50 a class. Next time I will be taking my business to one of the other studios in town that will actually work with someone who is ill and on autopay. It's not like I just got busy and didn't make time to go.....very unhappy. read more

I love Mountain Yoga for the classes and especially the teachers! I love every one of them. I love their friendship, and their knowledge and teachings they impart. I joined Mountain Yoga 2 years ago and even though I've moved out of the Sandy area and work full time and go to school part time, I try to attend every class that my schedule will allow. I truly believe because of my previous 2 solid years of yoga, pilates, and barre, practice at Mountain Yoga, it has prepared me mentally and physically for my full schedule now. read more

I have been practicing yoga for 7 years now and I owe so much of what I've learned to the teachers at mountain yoga. The studio is easily my favorite place to practice! Type A Yoga. After practicing here for 6 months I am ready to go back to a more traditional yoga studio. Mostly because the studio itself lacks a yoga presence and attitude. The teachers perform the same routine class after class and their boredom is palpable. Some teachers will mix in a few sanskrit terms here and there, but this is more comparable to Zumba or aerobics then yoga. The poor attitude certainly carries over to customer service as well, I had a problem with auto-payments and I was told maybe I would be better off not using their auto pay system. Luckily for me there are plenty of other quality yoga studio's in the valley and I will find the one that is right for me. read more

Mountain Yoga is one of the most wonderful places. I started coming almost 2 years ago and it has been an incredible addition to my workout routine. I was going through a very stressful time in my life and after being offered prescription solutions that were not for me, I sought out a natural way to deal the challenge of my worried mind. Regular yoga practice has been life changing for me and I'm able to manage the ups and downs of life with much more ease. Mountain Yoga has a caring and compassionate environment in which to practice and be mindful and grateful with likeminded individuals. I have found all teachers and fellow classmates to be uplifting and supportive. It is a place I look forward to going regularly and continuing to grow in my practice of yoga. I do not disagree that this is s good studio for learning and practicing Bikram Yoga. What I find offensive is their attitude about charging their customers. I recently received their monthly news letter in which it had no less than 8 references to how you can get on their auto pay program. Lucky us! We can give you our bank information and you can go take the money yourself. As with most yoga studios there is positive energy and a feeling that we are all together on our journey... which hold up until it comes to how the studio needs to get your money as often and in as many ways as possible. While other studios understand that we are all different and not all of us should come do Bikram every day this studio has no convenient package for less that full time yoga enthusiastic. I am a dissatisfied customer who will leave as soon as a viable option becomes available. Perhaps many of us are. read more

Ahh.... Aside from the fact that I'm not sure the hot yoga is my thing, I felt like I was in an auction house, not a yoga studio. My expectation of yoga is something much quieter and more peaceful than this. The instructor is loud, constantly barking instruction. Not a meditative environment AT ALL. And they do crowd an awful lot of people into that small studio. And although the introductory rates are great, the regular monthly fee of $100 plus seem outrageous to me. A full gym membership costs less than half of that. I'll be looking for the peaceful environment that I crave for my yoga...not what you get at Mountain Yoga. read more

Bikram yoga sandy is AMAZING! I have been going here for years (3+) and will continue to go for many, many, many more. The teachers are great at what they do and so friendly and helpful when you have any questions or concerns. The owners really care about their staff and clients/yogiers. I have learned so much about myself, my physical ability, and the ability to push past what my body says at times. I would recommend this practice to anyone that is willing to try! Just go for it... You'll have plenty of support from a lot of people. read more
