We found exactly that here, and honestly it's exceeded expectations in every way. We've been renting here for a little over a year now, and management has been fantastic from day one. Any issue we've had gets solved within minutes. We need to be in the office by 5am most days, and that's never once been a problem. Access and security have been reliable the whole time. We started out in a smaller office and as we grew we moved a couple of times over the year until we landed on the right fit for our needs. Management made every one of those transitions smooth and handled everything along the way. Marina and the ladies at the front desk are a friendly face every single morning and will do anything to help. Little things like bagels every Wednesday morning, the place always smelling great, and the cleaning staff keeping everything spotless. You can tell they genuinely care about the people here. The common areas are beautiful and well designed, the building itself is stunning, and it just feels good walking in every morning knowing this is our office. We even recorded a podcast in one of their studios and it came out completely professional. For anyone looking for an office space they'll actually be proud to call their own, I'd highly recommend the W at Warner Center.

I'm fairly certain that my husband and I were among the youngest people living in Oakridge back then. We were in our early 30s. Since Ginny retired, we've had management that has always been confrontational. I'm not sure why, but rules are enforced arbitrarily. You cannot count on them. Some people are allowed to skate by without being called out for things while others are harassed. The Park manages how your homes look and you have to get approval to make any changes to the front of your home. When my husband and I applied for a grant for a water resistant remodel in our front yard, we chose gray stones to match the gray of our brinks. The manager, who is no longer here, told us that we had to get tan stones because, "too many people have added gray stones lately." ??? I tried writing to the owner, but the response was that it was the manager's prerogative to make that decision. I've since heard that he may have been intercepting emails to the owner. We ended up not doing the remodel and have allowed our grass to die because of water restrictions. Oakridge isn't bad. It's generally quiet and there are lovely people. There are a few issues lately like the kids who ride their Ebikes exceeding the speed limit and the people who think the speed limit and the stop signs are merely suggestions, but overall. I am glad that I live here. I've lived here long enough that we are starting to lose some of the people who were our neighbors for so many years. I have to say that is one of the hardest parts about living in a home for so long.

I have been so incredibly blessed by this park. By its owners, its management, and by its tenants…read more They've been so instrumental in my career, and I'm deeply indebted to them. As an actor in Hollywood, I need a place to be local to the industry here, but also am aware that Los Angeles is one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in. Finding an affordable place, while you have a profession that is super unstable, with good financial years followed by ones with no work and very little income at all, isn't always easy. But this place has afforded me just this. All around me I have tenants who help pick up my mail while I am travelling, and call me if something seems amiss at my trailer when I am not home. I help pick up their delivered packages when they aren't home, and they get mine. I have those who bring me food when they've made too much, or stop by at the gate to shoot the breeze. There are even a handful of other actors in the park, and we help each other with self-tape auditions! LA isn't always an easy place to make friends, so having neighbors all around you who you can count on is HUGE! Unlike living in an apartment, I know most of my neighbors, as much of trailer life is spent at ground level, where folks are in and out often--especially because the interior of most trailers is pretty tiny and often get stupid hot in the summer. The management has always been terrific--consistently on-site and managing the plant life, trees, bushes and common areas. Always available, willing to help and friendly. And the owners are three siblings who are second generation owners after their parents left them the park upon their passings. So its been in the family for nearly seventy years, which I find so endearing, The three of them even grew up on the premises! Furthermore, they are hands-on owners, each contributing in their own different ways. Being kindly and totally approachable, but also serving as bad guys when need be. I'm sure that part of the job is not fun, but I do appreciate it, because their diligence is one of the reasons this park has been here as a functioning business for decades. And look, I hear the gripes. The downsides. The stigma of living in a trailer park. If you look for the negatives, you can always find them. Not just in this park, but in anything. But if you look for the positives, they are always there too. For me? To live in LA, in a place that I own, and can (reasonably, within HOA rules) decorate and artistically tweak to my liking, without paying an arm and a leg for a land lease, (Because it is different than traditional rent, since you, the owner, are responsible for all maintenance on the abode itself, and that's important to remember and understand this), is a treasure for me. Not having to work excessively at any side jobs while pursuing acting is something many of my peers in the industry cannot attest to. This park and its people, (Owners, Management and Tenants), have given me the freedom to continue to pursue the dream career that I came to LA to do, without putting too much stress into the worries that most people in LA have of working endlessly to cover overhead. Overhead here is cheap. Sure, I have to turn sideways to walk down my own hallway, and have to sleep in a children's bed because the bedroom isn't large enough for anything bigger, and yes, I hang partially out of the shower when I'm rinsing off, so the floor always gets soaked, and have to get up on the roof and patch the leaks in the old trailer every year when it rains, and the largest water heater I can fit is only ten gallons, which makes showers last only two minutes before they run cold, and in the summer it gets as hot as the innards of a car inside the trailer, even while running the window a/c at full blast. I have to walk to a whole other building to do laundry, and consistently deal with bobcats, spraying felines, peacocks, skunks, black widows, parrots, rats, mice, possums, racoons and even recently, snakes, but you know what? I'll trade all of this comfort for the freedom it provides. If I wanted a nice air-conditioned place, with indoor parking, and guest spaces, more square footage, space to stretch out, and all the amenities, there are plenty of apartments, condos and houses around to rent or even buy. But you get what you pay for. And frankly, I get waaay more good stuff at this park than bad. And I get waaaay more than I pay for, and WAAAYYY more than I deserve. So do I have complaints? Not valid enough to overshadow all of my compliments. These folks here have provided a wonderful community and a piece of freedom that I'll forever owe them for. Finding this place was a needle in a haystack. It may not be Bel-Air, but all the luxuries of Bel-Air come with a cost--just as the lack of luxuries of living in a trailer do. For me, I've chosen the latter, and I'm sure appreciative of Sunland Trailer Park for making that choice much easier.

This review is for my lease between June 2018 and September 2019…read more Pros: - Close to public transportation (Metro Orange Line/MetroLink) - Good food options nearby (highly recommend Los Toros, Uncle Ernie's and Country Deli) - Dishwasher, Centralized AC - Each apartment gets a carport that fits 2 vehicles. Cons: - Uneven asphalt makes difficulty knowing and seeing where you are walking. My wife managed to sprain her ankle pretty badly on some raised asphalt by our carport; management did not deem it a high enough emergency to call the emergency line...even though the incident happened on their property. - Downstairs was freezing cold during the winter and boiling hot during the summer due to a broken vent that was never fixed. We stated this multiple times to the management and it was never addressed. I ended up purchasing a space heater off of Amazon to resolve the cold problem; heat was resolved by sealing the doors downstairs to retain the cool air; unit was two floors/townhome style. - Biggest pet peeve: The carport we had had a direct entry into our apartment BUT it lead straight into our second bathroom downstairs. (Honestly, the design of our unit was possibly the worst part of the apartment other than the size of the kitchen) - Other issues included: A) Close proximity to neighbors (never got a sense of security since I could look directly into our neighbors apartments) B) Jacuzzi would maybe work 5 months out of the year before breaking (this happened multiple times during our tenure) C) No storage available other than closets and a utility area under the stairs. (We had downsized from a house but had a lot left over stuff; ended up renting out a storage unit which we still have for our new place) D) Service requests, whenever fulfilled, would take days or even weeks to be addressed. E) Windows in downstairs bedroom/living area could not be opened due to them being screwed shut. Supposedly, it was to support the foundation of the building. I still believe that to be a load of BS but that's just me. F) No modifications to the unit of any kind could be made. G) No outside providers could be called to resolve other matters quickly when maintenance was unavailable...EVEN IF IN AN EMERGENCY AND THE COMPANY WAS INSURED AND BONDED!!! H) Neighbors abused the fact that quiet hours were between 10 PM - 7 PM. On a consistent basis, our neighbor's kids would be screaming at their television screen. We spent little over a year here and we had to move out to be closer to my wife's new office and couldn't be happier. P.S: Management threatened us when I posted my original review of this complex. Since we are now moved out of the place, I am sticking to this review. There were many other examples but these were the ones that stood out. Buyer beware with this place...your experience may vary.
