Mkhitar came and evaluated the space and then they got to work on everything. The desk was working great and i got to get everything setup for the New Year. All of a sudden i noticed the LED lighting starting to fall and act weird. It turned out the double sided tape that came with the LED was low quality and started to detach from the lights and the wall on three quarters of the room. After talking to Mkhitar, i got a new set of lights and stronger double sided tape to resolve the issue. They came back and put the new lights up with the stronger tape, got to areas i didn't have enough light for previously and really did a great job overall. It first started with him being 15 min late to our initial appointment. He then called me at 2:15 and started bitching about the parking situation. This is Los Angeles! Anyone who does house calls in Los Angeles should have the common sense to know that parking is difficult in LA. He had my address for a several days, he knew where I lived. If he wasn't going to be able to handle the parking situation he should've told me. I've never had a contractor call me and say that they couldn't find parking. His work is messy. Every handyman I've hired usually cleans up their mess before leaving. He left dust and wood shavings in my bathroom, bedroom, and living room as well as his trash. He half finished the job yesterday and was supposed to come over today at 9:10 am. It's now 10am. I've called him multiple times, left a message and texted him. Still haven't gotten a response. He is one of the laziest and slowest human beings I've ever met. This experience has been such a headache. I usually have such great experiences using yelp. He finished installing a light fixture in minutes and charged a fair and minimal fee. Super nice guy w/ a positive attitude and a plethora of tools and skills. Fast forward a few months and we needed him again to take care of some rather intricate pot-rack hanging. This guy is a perfectionist to say the least. He gave me several options to hang the rack and suggested a sturdy, trustworthy method that allowed us to hang 50 lbs worth of pots and pans from our drywall ceiling with no problems. Then he moved onto a butcher block in our kitchen and stripped the top of mold, dirt, dust and general ugliness. The thing looks brand spanking new and is now a charming (and more importantly, USEABLE) addition to our kitchen. Go ahead: Hire Robert to perform any electrical, plumbing, painting, demo work or landscape jobs and it will be money well spent! Super trustworthy, super fair pricing for his expert skills and a helluva nice guy. Plain and simple: Robert kicks BUTT! They decided to have them done, and to have the wood-burning fireplace converted to gas logs at the same time since they're in a high fire risk zone. They got several bids; CSE's was the most thorough and detailed, and not the highest. CSE did the work, and they were very happy with the results. My son is very detail-oriented and approved of their workmanship. I liked the work so much that I had them give me an estimate for converting my two wood-burning fireplaces to gas logs. After spending at least an hour inspecting them, Larry told me that one of the fireplaces, a factory-built unit installed in 1990, needed to be completely replaced because it had seriously rusted in my marine atmosphere. I was horrified at the idea since the fireplace is custom-designed granite with an exotic wood paneling surround. To my great relief, Larry said that they could replace the unit from outside the house and leave the interior untouched. They also found considerable deterioration on a masonry fireplace, original to my 1956 house. The total estimate gave me pause at over $22,000, but it was either that or not having working fireplaces. The work was completed by Breinner and Moises, who were outstanding. They kept my house dust-free and explained exactly what they were doing each step of the way. When they took out the factory-built fireplace, it was obvious that the work was justified since some of it was completely rusted through. To help prevent the same thing from happening to the new one, they primed and painted every inch of it with a high-heat coating, and used the most corrosion-resistant materials wherever possible. The job included refurbishing both chimneys to like-new condition. When they left you could not tell that there was ever a giant hole in my house. I am thrilled with the job and feel it was worth every penny since now I can have beautiful fires every chilly evening. Highly recommend.
