Dr. Fairbanks here is the absolute best, as is Teri at the front desk. My dogs love coming here and I don't mind it one bit either!

Mountain View Play and Stay

I found this place earlier on in the year when they appeared on the best of clark county for dog boarding. We scheduled a tour a few days later. It was clean & is a smaller boarding facility which we liked as they'd probably have an easier time keeping track of all the dogs. Although on the higher end for dog boarding pricing, we decided to book with them. Fast forward to months later when it was time to drop off our dog. It was a smooth process & they double checked the dates & feeding schedule & we were off. We were told that she'd get to play with a few of the dogs & we told them she's really friendly & would love that. That was a nice surprise as I didn't realize they did that there. Our first day back home, they called to ask us if we wanted to add on the 1on1 play time service, so that our puppy could get out some of her energy. I agreed as she'd be there for a while. Pick up was smooth as well. We had missed the early morning pick up window, so we went during the late afternoon one. When she came out, she looked like she had a great time! She even got a visit from santa. It was adorable, she had a stocking with here name on it. It made us so happy as this was her first Christmas. Everyone we spoke with there were really nice & always open to answer questions. We were even told we could call & check up on her, which we didn't do. Although priced on the higher end & I did see they raised their prices again this year, I liked how they don't charge an extra day if not picked up by a certain time. I called to make sure as I know most places do that. They only charge by the day, so As long as they are picked up & dropped off during the windows listed on their site, you're good. We will be using them for shorter stays in the future.

My dogs have a great day every time! Great caretakers and my dogs love them! They do amazing work…read morewith all of the dogs here.

Tiny's Place Luxury Cat Boarding - Chillin'

Tiny's Place Luxury Cat Boarding

This hotel for cats is top-rate. The site is clean,…read morespacious, quiet and comfortable. The individual spaces are large ... and safe. They afford plenty of space for rest, movement, play and climbing. The staff i met were friendly and caring.

I really liked Tiny's until something went wrong. We have four cats who have stayed at Tiny's…read moreprobably four times. We had a vacation planned for this week over new years, but had to cancel last minute. We had no warning, and my wife asked me to call Tiny's since she couldn't stop crying. I called Tiny's within 20 minutes of us finding out. I was apologetic. My voice was shaking because I was pretty disappointed too. I explained the situation and said that I was very sorry, I understood we wouldn't get our $150 deposit back and again, I'm very sorry. Denise at Tiny's was very quiet through the whole interaction, at the end all she said was "I'm sorry to hear about your trip" Two minutes later I hear my wife burst out sobbing again. They sent her a text message letting us know that they no longer wanted us as clients. If I had known, or Denise given any indication on the phone I would have tried to make it right. I probably would have paid the whole amount because Tiny's is convenient and we've enjoyed patronizing their business. There was no warning, Denise decided to punch my wife in the stomach over a lost $450 after keeping our deposit, while we were in the middle of cancelling 12k worth of reservations. I would have been totally fine with paying ahead of time, we've spent a lot of money there, but instead of discussing financial impact, expressing any displeasure whatsoever, or giving us a chance to repair the relationship, Denise retaliated viciously. She had the opportunity to discuss any concerns with me on the phone, but decided instead to text my crying wife. I have advocated for this business, I have suggested it to friends. I regret that, because they clearly have zero respect for their customers. Denise made a terrible day worse with zero thought for her customers. Denise told us to get lost during our worst day in recent memory with no remorse. I will not be patronizing this business further, and I hope anyone reading this takes their behavior into consideration before doing business with Denise. She may care about cats, but clearly doesn't care about customers.

Compassionate Care - in home dog euthanasia

Compassionate Care

In a perfect world, I would hope that no one would need to avail themselves of their service and…read moreour beloved animals would live with us forever. When that is no longer the case and tough decisions need to be made, we had an excellent experience with Compassionate Care to say goodbye to our pup. Let me start by saying that every administrative and customer service interaction was timely, clear, and concise. The last thing you want in this situation are delays and confusion. Once I reached out through the contact link on their website, the email response with details about their different services happened within 10 minutes. An intake call to make arrangements for a euthanasia visit at our home was answered by a human and only took a few minutes. They recommend making a reservation 48-hours in advance, but we were put on a wait-list and we moved up our reservation when things opened up. I appreciate that you can reschedule (with four hours advance notice) as well. They have a variety of services, Eco-friendly cremation, and memorial pieces. Everything was arranged in advance, including payment through their web portal, so when the vet arrived for the appointment it was all about our boy and his (and our) comfort. Dr. Wilson clearly walked us through the process, gave us time to say goodbye, provided options, and was a wonderful partner in the process. Cremation is done at a facility in N. Portland, but they have the option of picking up the cremains in Oregon City which was more convenient for us. Having gone through this experience with another pet where we took them to the vet's office, I would highly recommend this option for the pet's comfort. It just felt better saying goodbye in a familiar space surrounded by love.

My experience was okay…read more I made a most difficult decision to let my beloved cat go after a long weekend spent almost entirely in ER trying to figure out why he would no longer eat and why his eye was swelling shut. And an even longer two or three weeks before that fighting to get him to eat. Like others here, Kevin was closer to me than my human family. I was busy with the doctors in ER so my partner called in to make the appointment to ease my stress. He said I was primary contact, but it was difficult to make that clear all the way until the day so communications were continually going to him. Not a big deal in the overall picture, but it didn't make the experience any easier. This was my cat for 8 years before I met my partner and while he loved my baby, I was the one with the lifelong bond. The doctor showed up within the time window allotted. We both found her a little cold. I felt like we were just a job and everything was done by number. My BF picked up my cat and carried him to me, but the doctor said we should do paperwork first which resulted in me putting him down after building up to do what I deemed impossible. I was emotional and crying. This really should somehow be handled before the visit. There were corrections to be made on the form. I was about to lose my baby and this only made me aware that I was filling out his death warrant. I am utterly heartbroken. I know holding your baby until the last minute is catharsis and closure, but I found it traumatizing. His passing was peaceful at least. Everyone's goodbye will be unique, and my example will not necessarily match what others experience. Everyone we spoke to was professional. I just wasn't feeling the compassion.
