She offered discounts along with an assigned team for another chance, so I decided to give them a real challenge with my other SR kitty, Amber, who has high anxiety and is quite fearful of vet visits. Amber was treated with compassion, great patience, and gentleness to arrive at a surprisingly calm examination without being removed from her carrier. She was completely put at ease and submitted quietly. The team was diligent and kind with their questions without trying to upsell additional services, only giving me what I asked to be done. So refreshing... I was not shuffled to a different room, nor made to feel like it was a conveyor belt process. Amber was so at ease, it seemed like she was a total different cat. Both vet techs were awesome...they gave Amber LOTS of love, head scratches and cuddles. I was so pleased with the outcome that I had to come back and do another review. Amber's next appointment is in February for a dental cleaning. The invoice had a couple of courtesy discounts applied (true to Tracy's promise) that made the experience all the better. That is saying something as I, myself, am a human medical professional. He is gentle and genuinely cares for the pets, gives good advice in an almost off-hand manner, and refers to other practices if treatment would surpass the capacity of his own. His practice is limited, so don't expect a fancy ER or ICU for pets, but he does an amazing job diagnosing and understanding small animals. And the psychology of their owners, as well. That's another issue. He is straight foreward, thorough and knowledgeable and he has little interest in expensive add-ons or padding the bill. His charges are reasonable, especially considering the bills one finds at local 'animal hospitals' which border on human-scale expensive. I have also had him 'put down' a pet who was beyond hope and he is sensitive and responsive to such grim occasions. I can think of nothing unkind to say.

They also squeezed me in today when they were fully booked because my kitty was having symptoms associated with a urinary blockage or bladder infection. My kitty is almost 15 years old and also has chronic kidney issues. The receptionist was so kind and compassionate when I called today. I am so grateful that they were able to accommodate my request to get him seen today and I am now awaiting the test results. This is a busy practice. I have always been treated with respect and more importantly they treat my pets with kindness, compassion and expertise. I am lucky to have a great local veterinary practice to care for my pets.

It is clear how much they adore dogs, and returning them to an active life is their purpose. Beyond the therapy, each visit they looked any Benny for the progress of his recovery. At one point they reminded me that he really needs his two good walks a day. It made me realize that I needed to do better on his walks, and started the regimen. Beyond speeding his recovery, he has come to love his walk time. Benny is that aloof poodle where life is transactional. He was never sure that walks were cool, and he had to be convinced. Not anymore. He loves his walks. The first time around we used a different business, but you can just stop at Splash. TPLO surgery is enough of a difficult challenge. Splash made months 3 and 4, where he was off meds and wanting to do more, not just tolerable but successful. Benny is back. Freshly groomed, he is his old self. Thank you Splash.

We've been going to Kristen for over 5 years now and can honestly say she's single handedly chaged…read morethe lives of all three of our dogs: 1. Our senior girl swam with Kristen until the very end. It was the highlight of her week, and likely extended her life by at least a year. Her swimming improved her mobility, made her feel silly and goofy after, and helped us enjoy her until she was nearly 16! 2. Our young pup has elbow dysplasia, and at 1 year old our surgeon, Dr. Novo, recommended we see Kristen instead of surgery. She did great, avoided surgery and has no elbow issues. A year and a half ago she tore her cruciate ligament and subsequently had to have two TPLOs back to back. With a combination of underwater treadmill and Kristen's expertise, followed by a transition to swimming in the pool and she's got all the mobility of a young dog again! She's now 6 and in great health. 3. Our third dog strained his psoas and again underwater treadmill rehab was recommended. With Kristen's guidance he bounced back and now swims with his sister as often as he can in the pool. Both of our living dogs were seen by a new vet recently and she couldn't stop complimenting their body condition. She thought our 8 year old was 3 he has such great muscle tone Without Kristen I'm not sure where our dogs would be, but I'm thankful everyday we don't have to find out. I recommend hydrotherapy with Kristen to everyone for their pets, injured or not!

Unfortunately, I received a message from MADISON this morning stating that we have one strike against us because we called in to cancel an appointment when their business was closed. Our appointment line landed on a Monday and this is after the New Year's holiday and most places are closed. We tried to explain that my son has traumatic brain injury, and I was not feeling very well, but she was very unsympathetic and let us know that it's still one strike , and the next one we will have to pay for the visit in full, and then the third strike would be not being able to come to this veterinary clinic anymore for care I understand many establishments having policies for cancellation, and if I knew that they had one, I would definitely followed the rules. I was never told that we would have a strike against us. and I was also not told that you have three times before you're not able to come to this veterinary clinic anymore. I find it quite disappointing that a receptionist can arbitrarily make a decision for a family that has gone to this clinic that we have been going to longer than she's worked there. We personally know Dr. Polly and we were close to Dr. Garfield. That's the relationship that you have with people that stay loyal to you. You don't be rude to them and uncaring. I have always loved going to salmon Creek Vet, but this definitely has changed my mind and my opinion when people ask me where they should go. If there are policies, then you need to explain them to the customers before hand, not after. And this is not our first interaction with Madison. She has been rude before, and we just kindly smiled paid for what we needed to do and left. We thought that she was having a bad day, but it's obvious that not the case.
