If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. The rooms were spacious, charmingly decorated, and very comfortable. The location was absolutely beautiful, located in a quiet town with a fabulous old castle right down the road. What really made the trip great, however, was Patricia and her family. She was the most gracious and generous host, went out of her way several times to help us without being asked, helped give advice on the best pub for dinner, and much more. She asked what our plans were each morning, then checked in about how it went when we got back at the end of the day. She stood on the front steps to wave goodbye as we got in the taxi the morning we left. If you want to feel truly cared for during your stay, you must come here. The owners are a husband and wife and awesome people. We were extremely delayed and had to check in at midnight, and they waited up and were so friendly and helpful, despite the late hour. Their breakfast is amazing! My fiancé got the full Irish breakfast and still raves about it. They also have amazing jams out on the breakfast tables - you have to try them. When we were leaving, they gave us recommendations for local roads and scenic routes. Highly recommend! read more

We checked in the 11th August 2011 at the Mountain View Guesthouse and Patricia welcomed us very warm and friendly! The room offered much space, was super tidy and the breakfast was every day delicious with a big diversity from the menu! I can highly recommend it to everybody! read more
