(No doubt he had that as well). After treating my Dog who had not eaten for 3 days sent me home with pills and a can of Dog food. I worked with my Dog day & night for a week and he got worse. My Dog was weak and gasping for air. I went back to the first Veterinarian and It was obvious by Dog was in much distress. I had my Dog put to sleep to end his misery. Not two seconds after I let go of my Dog when he stopped breathing, Blood ran out of his nostrils. My Dog had a week of suffering with cancer and a Diagnostic Sonagram or Any other like device would of at least suggested CANCER! I do not have a lot of fancy words for the distress or the equipment that could have been used, but all I know is this facility let my Dog down and He suffered for a week!!! Not to mention the $511.00 wasted on incompetence! On the afternoon of 1/27/2023 (11 days after being seen by The Veterinary medical surgical Hospital of Topeka) I received the one and only follow-up call regarding how my Dog was doing! In the past I have received a call from a VET the later in the afternoon or the next day after a booster or Rabis shot!!! Be carful out there, not every Veterinarian facility has your Dogs Health and Wellbeing their top priority!

In the initial call they were extremely thoughtful with the emotions and logistics that comes with caring for your animal. My experience in the clinic was just as positive. The front desk people were warm and inviting. The veterinarian was extremely helpful with answering all my questions and helping to assist with the problem. I left the clinic feeling very supported. The clinic even went as far as to check up on my pet a few days after her appointment. These people CARE! I am so extremely impressed with the professionalism and how personable this clinic is.

Stone House was one of the few if not the only animal hospital open on Sunday, so I called them and rushed her right over. When I arrived, they got her right in for an examination, and within minutes had the diagnosis of her problem. She had collapsed trachea syndrome which is common in flat faced dog breeds because of their different respiratory system. I asked the doctor about my options while Buddha was sedated and given oxygen to relieve her labored breathing. After given my options I unfortunately made the decision to euthanize my poor Buddha to end her suffering. I had the option of an expensive surgery which was no guarantee to help Buddha, so I did the most humane thing in my opinion, and euthanized her. The doctor and staff were awesome, and let me be with her throughout the whole process. Yes, I cried like a child but knew this was the best course of action for Buddha. She was 14 years old when she passed and the staff made a paw print mold with her name and that days date on it for me to keep, plus they cremated her and put her ashes in an urn for me to keep. I of course approved all of this and it was fully discussed prior to them doing it. Though I'm a customer at another animal hospital in town, I want to thank everyone at Stone House Animal Hospital for all they did and taking such great care of Buddha that day. I will forever be grateful for the care, kindness, and love you showed both of us.

Patrick was very kind on the phone and asked if I could be there in 45mins. DONE! Dr. Kate Schoemann examined Pupper and without any x-rays she diagnosed Pupper with a blown knee and a torn meniscus. She explained the surgery process and the potential cost. I asked for some time to weigh things out. She sent Pupper home on pain meds; I did some research and decided against surgery due to the high cost. I tried reaching out via phone to Dr. Schoemann to discuss the pros / cons of a leg brace; I called 4 times between 05/26/26 - 06/05/26 with a stop into the hospital. There was a nice lady working the desk who scheduled a "Phone appt " with Dr. Schoemann to call me 06/03/26 at 2:40p; this call never took place. We brought him in 30 minutes later and got immediate care. The vet spoke with us regarding why he did what he did and communicated very effectively. My puppy got staples in his foot and was given a cone. We returned two weeks later and got them removed, no issues! The only thing I disliked very much was the front desk associate, I think her name was Gabby. She was not kind and seemed like we were the largest problem of her day. I forgot to ask something and when I called back she picked up the phone and said "yeah?" When I explained who I was and why I was calling, she was sassy back and made it seem like my question was a bother. When we went back for the removal, we walked in AFTER calling in outside and she said "whatcha need" again, acting like we interrupted her personal time while she was clocked in. Instead of greeting me as I walked into their "hospital" she told me to wait and proceeded to book an appointment for later in the day. As my Bella suffered this person couldn't be bothered to put a call on hold or tell me that they didn't even have a veterinarian on duty. Admittedly I was rude and left with verbal expletive on her lack of intelligence.
