Received a letter from Fidelity Investments Benefits Service (FIBS) Center about my father's retirement program at Eastman. The letter came nearly 15 years after his death and attempted to solicit info about his estate by requesting a call to some 800 number. The letter had no indication as to what individual sent it. The letter had a Fidelity Investments meter marking from a PO Box 618 in Monroe, WI. A check into this found no Fidelity Investments facility in or near Monroe, WI. Some online commentaries indicate this outfit has a reputation for withholding benefits and diminishing these benefits by charging various fees. Maybe this is how the "investment" company profits?

They even refund them when I use some outrageous fee machine in an airport or casino. I've found them to be responsive, helpful, and thorough with my requests, so I continue to bank with Citizens. I'll never understand why we have so dang many banks, but among the multitude of choices, Citizens Bank is one I'm glad that I made. My only complaint is that they don't release my directly deposited funds as quickly as my credit union does. Sometimes it's a few days later. That bugs me.
