I am afraid of dental care but Dr. Goins and her staff are skillful, professional and friendly. They are accommodating. Dr. Goins did fillings and a cap with minimal discomfort. I was an academic general surgeon and I can recognize skilled surgical talent immediately - she has that talent and efficiency - no time is wasted when the work starts. She and the office do not waste your time with endless cosmetic surgery promotions - most dentists have lost their way and have forgotten basic dental surgery skills but if you want Botox or white teeth, those dentists will provide. In comparison, Dr. Melissa Goins provides excellent dental care. This was my first visit to this office. The staff is friendly, helpful and organized. The office space is clean and spacious. Linda, my hygienist, was very thorough and caring. She recommended GUM Proxabrush. This has never been mentioned to me by any other hygienist. It is making a big difference in keeping my teeth clean. She answered all my questions and is very patient. We just did our follow-up with our normal dentist and all restrictions for safety procedures around covid we're gone from initial check-in, to initial contact of wearing PPE as we entered the building. We were not notified prior to our appointments that they had made this change. All staff, receptionist and even the dentist were unmasked, until they sat my family down into the chair to provide the oral exam... then did they put a mask on while working in our mouths. And during this time, is when I noticed a child in the adjacent room coughing consistently.... Extremely disappointed.... extremely disappointed....extremely disappointed with Mountain Ridge Dental in Cave Creek. I noted to the receptionist that you can be carrier of the new Delta variant, she sharply responded back... We all can be carriers. Yet I noted..... with the differences is that I and my family mask up 24/7, socially distance and have not been in any groupings with any other individuals than my own immediate family of 3 for 18 months that reside in our home. My husband had a morning appointment at 8:00 a.m. and he thought they were closed, As it appeared like the lights were turned off and there was a sign left on the door from the previous week noting they were closed still. Yet the door was open so he went in and nobody at that time was even there to greet him. He could hear individuals laughing in the back adjacent room. It took over 10 minutes for somebody to even notice he was there and greet him, by this time it was 15 minutes after his time to start his original 8:00 am morning appointment. And no one was wearing masks or PPE gear, only did they put them on when he sat down in the chair as he had his on the entire time. They did clean his teeth and take x-rays, yet the dentist was still not there, and they asked him if he wanted to wait another 20 minutes. That's when he got quite irritated. And that's when he came home to me to tell me about what lack of covid protocols procedures in place, and unprofessionalism customer service that was taking place on this Monday morning. Last Sunday I've discovered that my front tooth filling near the gum line had gone missing. My regular dentist moved out of town a few months ago. I had to find another doctor urgently! I had Invisalign done through Dr. Goins and I'm in love with the results. Mainly because, once my teeth were straight, she used bonding to make them look perfect. Invisalign will straighten your teeth but, once that is done, they won't necessarily all be the same length. She used bonding to fill-in small chips and and fix any uneveness that most will have after any teeth straightening. I had my first visit today to Mountain Ridge Dental. Being new to Cave Creek, I tried Dr. Goins after reading some great reviews. They were all correct! Most work that you may need performed by a Dentist, whether general, cosmetic, or restorative, Melissa has all the technology and skills to perform usually in one visit. Dr. Melissa Goins and her staff are amazing. They have a beautiful office with all the latest technology. I went in today to have two crowns put in. The Dr was very informative about the procedure and made me feel very comfortable. It is by far the best dental procedure I have ever had. There was no pain. After they got my two teeth prepped for crowns I got to sit there and relax while her amazing machine made my crowns while I wait. I was blown away at how perfect my crowns fit with very little adjustment needed. I ate dinner later that day and was able to eat on that side of my mouth with no pain. I always get my teeth cleaned by her great hygienist and this is my first procedure done by the dentist. Overall I am very happy with Mountain Ridge Dental and will continue to go there for all my dental needs. Very happy! read more

I travel an hour to see her. Most of my friends think I am nuts, then I remind them how often they compliment me on my teeth and bonding Dr Goins did on my front teeth.
