We were surprised on a Saturday afternoon that the place had 3 couples only for lunch. The bar is the center of the restaurant and it is beautifully done. I found the menu to be limited and not that inspiring. We ordered the French onion soup and the catfish po-boy with fries. The flavor was good for the French onion soup while temperature was luke warm at best. This soup is usually super hot unless they melted the cheese with a torch. The po-boy sandwich had nice fluffy bread, a flavorless catfish filet but delicious fries. If the remoulade had not been present, it would of been tasteless. I had higher food expectations with the beautiful restaurant design but the food is no where close to matching the bar. A real disappointment. I know the chef is a long term resident and success in Jackson, but this was not anything to write home about.

They have onsite laundry for your smelly clothes or if you want to get caught up with laundry before getting home to unpack. Let it be known that it is $10.00 PER LOAD -$5 wash/$5 dry. The walls and ceiling are incredibly thin. They do provide cute notes and ear plugs to overcome this objective. It was tolerable for us but be aware. You will hear your neighbors. Superb location. Quick walk (5-10 min) to many great spots around Jackson. Super quick walk to Pearl St Bagels. In room coffee station did not include any tea options. Overall decent room for value.

Modern Motel is a cluster of buildings around a central courtyard with a fire pit. It has a wonderful location within easy walking distance to all of Jackson's restaurants and shopping. Modern gives you a small room with a small bathroom. The room was recently redecorated with carpeting and wall decor, so it was very neat. But it was short on electrical plugs and the room was dark -even with all the lights and lamps on, there were shadows in the room. The heat was noisy (when it first came on we thought it was a rainstorm) and the bathroom fan was noisier. There are no dressers, but an oversized tall wall cutout for your skis. There is a built-in bottle opener on the wall. Speaking of walls, they are pretty thin so you'll hear every sneeze, cough, and footstep. but no worries - because this is the only motel I've ever seen that prov8des earplugs for the room. There are some great features, besides the location. Service was great, and when we had a problem with the shower, a gent from the office was over to get things going within minutes.

We loved having two sinks in the bathroom setup--it made mornings a breeze. The front desk team was kind and welcoming, but there were definite gaps in communication between what I booked online and what the hotel had on file. I had ordered chocolate-covered strawberries for arrival and boxed lunches for our hiking day--neither were acknowledged, and the strawberries never showed up. Also, a $35/night hotel fee popped up that was never disclosed during booking. Thankfully, it was waived due to the service issues, but it's something other guests should be aware of. Would I stay again? Yes. Overall, it's a very nice place to stay--comfortable, clean, and in a good location--but the pricing does feel a little inflated for what you actually get. Then again... that's Jackson Hole!

The views were absolutely insane, that pictures simply did not do it justice. It only took about 10 minutes to get all the way up, which was perfect. The views from the top, despite the wind, were once in a lifetime. The Nutella waffle was my favorite. Anything with chocolate is what I will always order! The berry compote and the brown sugar waffles were also delicious. And, when paired with hot chocolate and hot cider, it was the perfect meal. We could've gone up here for waffles for every day. We had a ski pass that was good for our whole stay, and it included this team ride. If you are an advanced skier, sometimes the mountain is open for you to ski down. However, they say it is the hardest trail. Corbet's Cabin is not to be missed. It's worth everything and anything!
