Initially had a bad experience because the dermatologist said I could have laser therapy while using medication she gave me to work on my rosacea. Not only did the medication that she gave me not work and made me feel very sick , but I couldn't get the laser treatments on my face because I was taking them. I didn't know until I walked in to get the laser treatments. Brandy has done an amazing job working on my skin since then ... which is why they get 4 stars. I've been working with her for years and although I haven't had the funds to work with her for the past year or so, her results have held up. My face used to look like a bright red cherry. Now I can actually go makeup free! It'a not totally healed yet but when I get the money I will go back! I think with a few more sessions I'll get where I want to be. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. What happened to my mother at this clinic was not just unprofessional. It was inhumane. My mom had an early morning appointment at Mountain Pine Dermatology's Meridian location for her Accutane prescription. She's done this process before, so she knew the steps. She simply asked the PA if she still needed to wait 30 days after her pregnancy test, given that her husband had a vasectomy. The PA didn't know, left the room, and then an assistant came in and confidently told her she could be prescribed that same day, she just needed to log into iPledge and answer a question. My mom doesn't speak fluent English, and she's not tech-savvy. She called me for help while I was at work because the clinic attached my email to her chart. I stayed on standby, ready to help her log in, while she waited patiently at the clinic. And waited. And waited. They kept telling her "we'll be with you soon," but it was completely soulless, like she was an inconvenience, not a patient. No one actually tried to help. No one explained anything clearly. She waited quietly and respectfully for hours, trusted their word, and when they told her, "we'll call you later," she believed them and went home. They never called. She had to call them twice and both times, all they said was "we don't know yet" and they'd "call her back." They never did. But here's what really shows their utter lack of care. Assistant wrote on her chart, "Language barrier - don't know if she understood." Are you serious? You knew there was a language barrier. You were not sure if your patient understood instructions about one of the serious medications in dermatology and you didn't use your translation services? You didn't take the time to clarify? You just let her leave and hoped it wasn't your problem anymore? This is medical negligence, plain and simple. When I went in person to talk to them, both the nurse manager and the administrator acted like I was the problem. Cold. Dismissive. Not an ounce of empathy. I calmly asked the administrator how she'd feel if her own mother someone who struggles with English was treated this way. Her response? "I need to ask you to leave." That's it. No apology. No accountability. No shame. Let me be clear, my mother was not difficult. She was not loud or demanding. She's one of the sweetest, most polite people you'll ever meet. She sat there quietly while the staff at this clinic treated her like a burden. This clinic failed her. Completely. If your mother, your grandmother, or anyone you care about doesn't speak perfect English, don't bring them here. They will not be treated with respect, dignity, or basic decency. And to the staff who saw this happen and did nothing you should be ashamed. read more

And he'll take care of that all right away for you. As soon as he enters the room, you'll get that feeling right away. You want to be told what you said, when you really didn't... or be threatened about your future health care you found the perfect match. Asking him to lower his voice because you feel over stimulated and the room echoes. Oh no he didn't like being told what to do. What narcissistic man does really? If you're wanting someone to listen, take you seriously, actually touch your skin or look at it. I would rather deal with my skin issues for the rest of my life than deal with another individual like this man. He even tried to pull his staff under and insisted I had a problem with them! Oh no sir. Everyone else was lovely and friendly. Good try again with that strategy. You are the issue and only you. I hope you talke some time to acquire knowledge on how to treat people with decency and compassion. Even your body language and energy sucked. I would get that checked out as well. I felt so pressured to jump into a biopsy on the bridge of my nose, I went in hoping to get help in clearing a pore (a blackhead) ended up leaving with a slice of the bridge of my nose taken out, left the area obviously unhealable, divited, yellow and red and oozy. This massively upset the appearance of my face!! there was no "lets watch it and check it in a few months" or " just to let you know a biopsy on the bridge of your nose is going drastically upset your appearance, do you want to think about it and make a decision later?" nope just a rushed two against one quick rushed pressure to get a needle and and a scalpel into my nose, I am so dissapointed in the nurse and doctor as I went in to ask for help in the healing of a spot (a clogged pore) and they instead of helping me, harmed me greatly!! totally unacceptable. read more

I went in to see if the dry skin on my feet were from athlete's foot or eczema, and was told by Dr Miller that it looked like my toenail had fungus, and she thought it would be best to do a biopsy / lab test on a nail. I was told by the Dr that the procedure would cost less than $200. She did not explain to me that the $200 was to just pay for her to get a nail clipping and send it to the lab.. and that I would get a separate bill from the lab that was $500 AFTER my insurance paid their portion. So I'm stuck with a $700 bill to test a nail clipping for fungus on their recommendation, and the results came back negative. When I called them, the receptionist said this was rude, saying it was in the T&C I signed, and "I should have taken the time to thoroughly read it". Okay, must've skimmed that, great! But why was that not explained to me by the doctor or assistant when I'm inquiring about the costs? I would not have gone through with this had I known it would be $700 total. read more

Went to see Dermatologist at Mountain Pine Dermatology today have went several times ! I was in and out within 20minutes Avery is very good and really enjoy seeing her and staff all very nice ! She checks me all over for problems with skin cancer today found nothing but last year she find some removed right then never hurt she's wonderful and very pretty even though your getting checked everywhere u never even think about it ! She's a great dermatologist would recommend ! Everyone one there is very nice u will be happy u went ! read more

I typically don't like posting negative reviews especially to a provider whose staff is so friendly and the service overall very professional but felt the need to warn other patients before you use their services. My daughter needed a very basic wart treatment that included the burning of them with liquid nitrogen which took the doctor just a few minutes to complete. Before confirming the appointment I provided our insurance details to the office administrator in order to confirm what we can expect to pay out of pocket. The admin confirmed it would be ONLY $60 but...once we got the bill we were charged an additional ~$130! Turns out they did not confirm with our insurance provider and sent the entire bill back to the patient to pay. This could have been avoided altogether if the admin would have confirmed the costs with our insurance and instead sent the full bill back to us to pay. If I would have known the brief appointment would cost us ~$200, clearly I would have avoided this clinic and sought out less costly option. read more

Did about 5 times microneedling for my forehead acne scars. Can see a lot of resurfacing happening. Happy with the result. Partial micro needling is only $75 is really reasonable price if you only wanna focus on certain part of your face. They would run buy 3 get 1 free promotions which totally bring down the cost as well. read more

Everything about Mountain Pine Dermatology was not only acceptable, it was impressive! The front desk staff are thorough, polite, helpful and bent over backwards for me before I was even a patient! Avery and her assistant were outstanding - they examined, explained and truly helped my daughter with her needs while making me (the mom) feel a part of the process. They got me an appointment quickly, the wait times were crazy short and they are not a money-making factory where the patients don't matter. They care and they deliver! I Yelped this office & there weren't many reviews but decided to give it a try. (I had called another office closer to me that didn't even return my call.) After several months of problem skin, I made an appointment to see Dr Thomas. I had seen another dermatologist in Texas for the same diagnosis, but Dr Thomas actually listened to me and prescribed a different treatment plan. Additionally, he sent my prescriptions to a mail order pharmacy, resulting in no charge to me for two topical medications. We saw Dr. Scott Thomas for skin cancer on my husbands nose.....which we thought was just a little something.....well it didn't turn out that way. Our experience was very professional, efficient and friendly from the time we called their office, arrived for our appointment was effortless. Dr. Thomas is very knowledgeable and professional with a sense of humor. His compassion, thoughtfulness and follow-up was surprising.....you don't seen that much any more. He called several times checking on him and we were in there once a week for wound checks and scraping. It's amazing how well his nose has healed, I'm shocked. They office is so busy they are chronically running behind. Not a few minutes late, but 20, 30 or even 50 minutes late. Then when they take you into the exam room they tell you that there are two patients ahead of you, so you end up waiting another 20 minutes. Sitting in the waiting room you witness this happening to LOTS of people. They are always sorry . . . very sorry! How about scheduling patients better? Further, I've never been told what my condition is. Prescribed medicines have little if any effect., but they don't know that because I walked out of my most recent appointment after waiting 50 minutes before being taken to the exam room and was then told it would be another 20 minutes . . . that's over an hour. I have ALWAYS been on-time for my appointments arriving 15 - 30 minutes prior to scheduled appt. I understand that problems arise, but every time? Also, they annoy the hell out of you with text messages, phone messages, and emails reminding you of apportionments. I was THERE (every time), where's the Doctor? C'mon, get your act together, patients time is valuable too! read more
