We Highly recommend and it was suggested to us from 3 others. They were right.

The pot roast is super tender and flavorful and the veggies with it pair well. The chicken fettuccini was not my favorite of the mix, but it was still cooked very well and tasted good. I'm not the biggest fan of French onion soup but this was a decent one. And although we only got 1 serving of bread, it was warm and perfectly soft inside. Why it was just ok: we turned up without reservations around 7:30 and were told it was going to be a 30 minute wait. We asked if we could sit at the bar and were told that was also 30 minutes despite there being empty seats. Fine. We waited. 45 minutes later, multiple parties come in, without reservations. They manage to sit at the bar. We were told it's first come first serve and we needed to just grab a seat. Would have been nice if we were told that from the start, especially since we couldn't sit at the empty seats earlier. We got our food to go instead more than an hour after we first came in. If there was anything else open by the time we found out, we would have just left. Despite this, I'd say this is a good spot to get food to go, or make sure you have reservations ahead of time.

From the moment I walked in, Dylan greeted me with genuine enthusiasm and took the time to understand exactly what I needed. He walked me through the available machines, explaining the features of each one in detail without any pressure, ensuring I picked the right equipment for the job. The rental process was seamless; Dylan handled all the paperwork quickly and even gave me tips on safe operation and maintenance to make sure everything went smoothly on-site. The equipment itself was top-notch--well-maintained, clean, and performed flawlessly throughout the rental period. No breakdowns or issues whatsoever, which saved me a ton of time and hassle. What really stood out was Dylan's follow-up. He checked in midway through the rental to see if I needed anything else, and when I returned the machines, he made the inspection quick and fair. It's rare to find someone so knowledgeable, patient, and customer-focused in this industry. If you're in Alamogordo and need heavy equipment like skid steers or excavators, do yourself a favor and ask for Dylan at Uptown Rentals. Five stars all the way--I'll definitely be back!

Our company rented a Bobcat E60 Excavator first for one day on 7/30/26 and then for a week rental on 7/31/26 through 8/7-26, with the caveat that the equipment could be returned with a full refund if we reported a problem, because the equipment on the prior rental before us was used to demo three homes!! The equipment was not running or working correctly and Uptown knew it. We believed it had been serviced prior, at least to a point that we could troubleshoot a quick fix. We really needed the machine. The overall rental cost us 2,257.27! It never worked properly. It wasn't used! We emailed to an email that the invoice came from: the email didn't clearly state no reply on invoice. My husband then reported it to a representative upon returning it we expected a full refund as negotiate. We received no call or any other communication from Uptown Equipment Rental, but our money was never refunded! Not until I started calling did I get the excuses from the owner. He wanted to work something out but not refund our money. He then blamed us for it being a day late because they were already closed! We drove from up in the mountains to get there but because of slow traffic we were 10 minutes late! His next excuse for keeping the entire 2.257!! What??!! Now he wants to speak with my husband and won't speak with me. Why??! We simply want our money refunded! I'm starting here. Next, I go to Google and the Better Business Bureau!

Heart of the Desert Pistachios & Wine - Came for Pistachios, Left with Wine…read more We stopped here with a simple mission: grab a few bags of pistachios as gifts for friends back home. Easy, right? Well... not quite. The store itself is quaint and charming, filled with all kinds of temptations. Pistachios in every form, chocolates, wines, and gift options that make you rethink your original plan. You can taste a little of everything, which is both delightful and dangerous. Then we stepped out onto the patio with our pistachio ice cream, and wow... completely unexpected. The space is gorgeous. Calm, open, and the kind of place that makes you slow down without even trying. Honestly, if I lived nearby, I'd be planning celebrations here without a second thought. Somewhere between the views and the tasting, I tried their pistachio rosé. And yes, I had the same reaction, "wait... what?" But it worked. Different, pleasant, and surprisingly good. Good enough that I completely abandoned my pistachio gift plan and walked out with several bottles instead. A much more unique surprise. The staff were warm and welcoming, adding to the whole experience. No rush, no pressure, just genuine friendliness. We didn't have as much time as I would have liked, and that's probably the only downside. This is the kind of place where you want to linger longer, taste more, and just enjoy the moment. Came for pistachios. Left with wine and zero regrets.

How about those shiny floors everywhere! It's not just about amazing pistachios (though they're so good )--it's about the passion and purpose that go into everything you do. The inviting patio to sip on wine amongst the carefully pruned trees was a bonus Grateful for such an inspiring experience, especially Melissia and Sabrine. #SupportLocal #SustainableFarming #Gratitude
