Joe and I visited D.H. Lescombes on Thursday, August 6, 2026, during a trip to town for a medical…read moreappointment. We were seated immediately with no wait, and the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. Our waitress, Jasmine, was fantastic -- beautifully groomed with a genuinely sweet smile, she made us feel well cared for throughout the meal. Service was attentive and warm. I ordered the Mongolian chicken, which was delicious. Joe had a salad topped with steak, also very good. We both tried their wine flights -- I chose the red, Joe the mixed selection. Both were quite good, showcasing the winery's quality offerings. Everything about this visit hit the mark: excellent food, outstanding service, superb wine, and no hassle getting in. Highly recommended.

The positives: food is really good! The shrimp salad has large shrimp that are grilled perfectly…read more The roasted veggies are cold though, but maybe that's because it's supposed to be a salad? The pot roast is super tender and flavorful and the veggies with it pair well. The chicken fettuccini was not my favorite of the mix, but it was still cooked very well and tasted good. I'm not the biggest fan of French onion soup but this was a decent one. And although we only got 1 serving of bread, it was warm and perfectly soft inside. Why it was just ok: we turned up without reservations around 7:30 and were told it was going to be a 30 minute wait. We asked if we could sit at the bar and were told that was also 30 minutes despite there being empty seats. Fine. We waited. 45 minutes later, multiple parties come in, without reservations. They manage to sit at the bar. We were told it's first come first serve and we needed to just grab a seat. Would have been nice if we were told that from the start, especially since we couldn't sit at the empty seats earlier. We got our food to go instead more than an hour after we first came in. If there was anything else open by the time we found out, we would have just left. Despite this, I'd say this is a good spot to get food to go, or make sure you have reservations ahead of time.

We were surprised to see we walked into the 6th best restaurant in New Mexico. Once the food came…read moreout, we started to understand why. Everything tasted as if it was freshly prepared in a close friend's home. The food was spiced well, the cheese on the bean was melted, and portions were great. The service was comforting too. The inside feels homey, bright colors, and cool from the strong AC. That is a bonus in the desert heat. The only downside is that chips and salsa were not included. I would have loved to try some other salsas with my chili colorado plate. Their salsa verde on the chimichanga plate was fantastic.

We really enjoyed Rizo tonight. For an appetizer, we shared chips and salsa and they brought a green salsa that was spicy and a red salsa which was mild. We enjoyed mixing them together. Our waitress Cheyenne was awesome. My husband and I shared shrimp fajitas with corn tortillas. The fajitas came with a salad and rice and also guacamole, cheese, lettuce & tomatoes. There was plenty for both of us and the fajitas were delicious. The shrimp were really big. My friends got a bean burrito and a chicken dish which both came with rice and beans. They liked their meals as well. We ended the meal with caramel churros for dessert and they were fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is cute inside.

It was very good, a light olive oil and lemon dressing, perfectly light for a warm summer day. My husband had the green chile chicken lasagna that he said was excellent! Servings aren't huge which we also liked. Service was very good and prompt. Celeste was very attentive, we wanted for nothing! Lots of parking and easy to get to.

We came in a Monday about 40 minutes before closing and it seemed like they were getting ready to end the night. No one else was in the restaurant though there were a couple people at the bar. We told them we just wanted something fast and would be in and out quickly and were seated quickly at a booth. Our waitress was amazing and still kind and energetic though it was the end of day. Free bread with garlic balsamic olive oil, bread was warm and they were very generous with the amount of dried garlic. Margherita pizza: we picked the most standard one and it was odd. Instead of cheese and fresh basil it had slices of tomato and dried basil. Crust was underdone and there was way too much cheese on it. Italian nachos: Crispy pasta chips, black olives, pepperoncinis, Roma tomatoes, jalapeños, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella and parmesan. We had it with chicken and it was interesting but drowning in Alfredo sauce.
