Went to the Mooney location during their lunch buffet. There were 2 people working, one at the register and another in the kitchen. They had a good flow of people coming in, both employees tried to greet everyone as they were coming in, and letting customers know it would be a minute if they could not attend to them immediately. Despite the lack of help, they kept the place pretty clean and the salad and pizza bar full the whole time we were there. Pizzas were constantly being brought out, fresh and loaded with toppings. Overall the service and food were great. I do wish they had more help to help with the lunch rush. I would definitely go back. I do not recommend Mountain Mike's Pizza at all. I ordered a large pizza with 3 toppings. When my pizza was delivered it only had 2 of those toppings - they entirely forgot the pepperoni. First off it was dirty in there. Tables were nasty I had to wipe down the table before sitting down nobody ever came and cleaned it. There were a few people in the restaurant however there was very minimal pizza for that all you can eat buffet .We sat here for about 40 minutes and the worker only brought out two pizzas and they happen to be specialty pizzas that nobody wanted to eat. Pizza is always spot on, arrives hot and never disappointed However , went to the website to order today and apparently they are now attached to an app/order site called Slicelife.com which has not only radically changed what used to be a fantastic, easy to order from and beautifully designed website to a cheap, incomplete looking and definitely not nearly as user friendly. The original site was visually appealing, with lots of options up front and presented so you could instantly and without hesitation customize your order. Also most of the site is now just lettering on white page. I wasn't even sure if it was the actual site... it is. Those options have been taken away ( you can now only add toppings not delete. And can only add written notes. With severe onion allergies in the house just not as confident ordering. Again from the way the site looks not ever sure if same company. Also surprised to now find a "local support" fee attached for " improvements and tech development". Apparently this fee is part of Slicelife. Online research of Slicelife left me feeling like this was a questionable company. Unfortunately I had already entered my info. So while I love the pizza, am not feeling the new collaboration. In my opinion, Visalia lacks a really great pizza restaurant, and if we're on that subject, Chinese food lacks as well. Anyway, while Mountain Mikes won't blow you away with gourmet ingredients, a 100 year old artisan dough recipe, or that flavor of a true coal oven fired pizza...the pizza here just. Tastes. Good. The pizza is good. For a chain pizza parlor I think it's very good. The crust is just the right thickness and right chew, and the toppings here are all tasty. This new location seems the biggest to me and there is not shortages of big TVs to keep you entertained while you wait for your pie. The booths can easily sit 4 XL sided adults and there are plenty of regular tables and a closed off party room in the back for larger crowds. The salad bar is adequate with basic ingredients. There are about 6-7 beers in tap as well. Pepsi products for the soda. My kids like the pizza, I like the pizza. We will come back. Oh, plenty of parking too. read more

They said it's been their policy the last 4 months. I order at least once a week from them n again never. I was not impressed. I ordered from Mike's through doordash. I had heard good things about the chain and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. First off, they did not bring the entire order the first time. I ordered wings with ranch and they forgot it. They came back and brought wings with no ranch. I wouldn't have been upset but I paid for the ranch. Anyway, the lady who dropped it off apologized from her car window and threw money out at me to "pay for the ranch". It was very off putting. After all that was said and done the pizza was not impressive at all. It had very little flavor and was extremely greasy. Will not be eating here again, at least not at this location. read more

Visit was on Sunday, February 26, 2023 @4:30 pm. Food: For my family of 6, 3 of which are elementary age kids, we had a large pepperoni pizza, 12 hot wings, 2 all you can eat salads, and 6 drinks. My bill, with tip, came out to just over $90.00. My hot wings came out with a hair in them, which I just removed and carried on. In hindsight, I wish I had complained. None of the people preparing the food were wearing anything to stop hair from falling into the food, to include one guy who had a full beard that was pretty long. We had food leftovers and when I asked for some food containers, they refused to give me a container for my leftover salad. The "all-you-can-eat" salad was $10 and I felt for that price, I should be able to take home whatever was left on my plate. The manager, a heavy set Hispanic woman, argued with me that it was not their practice to give out a food container for leftover salad but, when I asked her to show me the store/company policy in writing, she related that there was no written policy. This unwritten policy enforcement seemed unfair to me as I had no warning before paying for the salad that I wouldn't be afforded a container to take my leftovers home. Service: The service was poor based on the enforcement of a claimed practice that was no where in writing to notify customers of the practice. Ambiance: This was my first and what will be my last visit to Mountain Mike's Pizza. The place wasn't too busy but, when we arrived, many of the tables were littered with leftover food, drinks, plates, and trash. We actually had to ask and then wait for a table to be cleaned so we could sit after ordering. I used the men's restroom to wash my hands before eating and it was in desperate need of cleaning as well. There was urine covering the floor around the urinal, paper towels all over the floor, and the trash can was overflowing. The urinal was full of urine and smelled so bad I had to hold my breath. Overall, the food was just ok and if the service had been better, I'd probably return. However, ok food with bad service and unclean conditions is just not worth dropping $100 on. read more

I would give 6 stars if I could!! Yesterday (June 1st) I went to the new mountain Mike's location on Mooney. This was my first time as I always ate at the one by amigos. When I ordered, the staff was friendly and I felt a great connection. They gave me plenty of time to think and order, I ordered a half-and-half pizza with wings and mozzarella sticks. This is the newest Mountain Mikes in Visalia and I have been waiting for it!!! We decided to go for a nice family dinner and we were not disappointed. Walk inside and it is newly renovated with a nice modern industrial look. Plenty of seating in booths that line the windows all around the restaurant and they have a nice sized room perfect for parties and large families to sit. There is a game room with quite a few games. There's a lot of TVs up to watch games that are on as well. We ordered 2 the create your own large and small sizzling classic bacon. Ordering at the counter was easy, the gal behind the counter was helpful and cheery even tho it was busy when we were there. Every booth was taken except one! Our food came out fresh and hot and was so delicious, everything you'd expect from a Mountain Mikes. We ordered the create your own with sausage, pep and olives and extra sauce. My hubby and sons really enjoyed it! The pepperoni slices cupped like always and we're crispy at the edges which they are known for and the pizzas had plenty of toppings! Well I can say that the pizza was just Ok but not my favorite by any means. For some reason it just didn't feel like a pizza place. Maybe the atmosphere I don't know. I know more and more pizza places are charging for extras $1.50 for ranch dressing or jalapeños just seems out of line. I had a salad as well and the lettuce was fresh and a good selection of toppings but pretty standard. The price we paid for pizza wasn't a bargain by any means and then $3.00 for ranch and jalapeños on top of that. Probably won't go back as there are others that are a better option in my opinion. There were 6 of us on a Friday night and nobody fell in love with the pizza's or the atmosphere. We were at the South Mooney location, not too crowded and service was ok.
