As I looked at the receipt, I noticed an extra charge and questioned it. Oh, she said, we charge a surplus charge of 3% for credit cards. I had cash. I have debit cards. It would have been lovely if someone mentioned this to a new customer BEFORE running my card! I'm new to the area. I'm used to a salon that is relaxing. Where there's friendly banter between stylists and customers. Where I always felt valued. There's a lot of salons out there. I'll keep looking to find one that treats me like I'm not a nuisance.

Upon approaching there was an out to lunch sign that state the return time (10 mins from my arrival). Within 5, a young lady returned and opened the door. I told her what I needed and she showed me where to find it (crochet braids) and recommended size, quantity and color based upon my hair and skin tone. She also re recommended which edge gel to use. I'm sharing this because sometimes, the opinions of others may dissuade you from entering an establishment based upon one's opinion just as a positive one steers you to another. Perhaps those that I read, did not appreciate her recommendation, perhaps they prejudged her, I don't know. However the young lady that helped me (neck tat,dreads, fair) was helpful and courteous. Because she Carrie's what I need,I will not hesitate to make the 12 mile hike to her store.
