I purchased a Living Social deal for two months of weed and fertilization treatments from Ironwood…read moreEarthcare. I couldn't be happier with my decision. First, dealing with the company has been seamless. From the initial call, they have been courteous and appreciative of the business. I didn't get treated any differently for purchasing the discounted e-certificate. That is fantastic because I know several businesses that use that method to drum up business and then treat you poorly because you took advantage of THEIR promo offer. Anyway, the customer service has been been stellar. I got reminder calls the day before my services so that I could unlock the gates and secure my dog. They also left paper work explaining exactly what was done. Lastly, I've noticed a dramatic improvement in the appearance of my lawn. Following the first treatment it started to "green up" and weeds started to disappear. I can't wait to see how the second treatment fares. I'm happy to have found a reliable, customer service oriented lawn care company. I will continue to use Ironwood Earthcare for my lawn and gardening needs.

HORRIBLE!! DAMAGED MY PROPERTY AND BECAME THREATENING (SEE…read moreATTACHED EMAIL) SCARY!! Ironwood was hired to take down a couple of trees. They didn't manage the falling limbs properly, and they sheared off nearly half the limbs of another tree and damaged a shepherd's hook, solar lights and my clothesline. Derek said he'd refund some of my money, and promised to perform an annual deep-root fertilization on the damaged tree for 5 years. When I didn't receive the refund and he wouldn't respond, I said I may file a BBB complaint. See the attached threatening email. I finally received the partial refund, but now they won't call me back (I've left numerous messages) to do the fertilization. So I have hired Davey Tree for that and I'm writing this review (I gotta say I'm a bit nervous because of potential retaliation), yet I feel it's important to warn others about the type of people you're dealing with when you deal with this company. BEWARE!

I contracted an artificial turf, breezeway, and landscaping project back in November 2022. To…read moresummarize this review, I would not recommend Elfego / Los Lobos Landscape Design. Although the project line items/deliverables were fulfilled, the overall project experience was unsatisfactory because 1) I had to spend too much time and effort proactively managing the project schedule, communications, and delivery of the project requirements, 2) he was difficult to interact with a few times throughout the project, actually raising his voice at me when I tried to hold him accountable for poor project management, and 3) I ended up having to go over his head (to the Angi home services rep) because he refused to include the plants he promised me during a pre-contract conversation; ultimately I negotiated a $250 discount for non-delivery of the plants. Another point is, overall, I don't feel like he advised me in my best interest. I didn't know what a breezeway was and didn't have experience with one, but assumed it would hold up to weather similarly like concrete. But we had a rain storm a couple months ago and a portion of the breezeway was swept away. Now there's a significant part of it missing. I will take that as a lesson learned.

It was a complex roof with many angles, levels and elevations that took over a month to complete which included replacing most of our roof decking, building up the flat roof for better drainage and using the industry's most durable and long lasting PVC membrane. Calvin and Julia worked with multiple adjusters from our insurance carrier to negotiate the replacement of our roof, gutters and metalwork with little out of pocket cost. The new roof has helped save significantly on our new annual homeowners insurance premium and most of all, improved the quality, visibility and value of our home. Thank you Calvin, Julia and your team for your honesty, professionalism, attention to detail, negotiating skills and for installing a new roof that will last a lifetime. We already have Blue Spruce Roofing & Exteriors scheduled to replace all of our windows later this year. We would highly recommend giving them a call if you ever need a new roof, gutters, siding or windows. You'll be happy you did!

I chose this company based on their good reviews and have come to regret that decision. Update to add: I found out after the fact that Raptor Roofing claims to have an A+ rating with the BBB, but are in fact rated at an F on the BBB's website due to their "unauthorized use of BBB name or trademarks". See link below. AKA: False advertising, trademark infringement. https://www.bbb.org/us/co/colorado-springs/profile/roofing-contractors/raptor-roofing-restoration-llc-0785-1000010349/addressId/83713 After posting this review on google, I received threats of legal action from the owner, Levi. From (719)-508-9045: "I gave you guys a fair deal below cost but due to the review I will give you one chance to remove it if not I will file a defamation lawsuit along with a change order and lein for the full amount of work approved by your husband let me know how you would like to proceed I regret being fair to you" "-Correct Change order sent -you worked with one location not 3" "Attorney will be sending you a letter next week. Have a nice day :)" Review Continued: We hired Raptor roofing to replace 4 panels on our shop roof (damaged skylights) with solid metal sheets and replace quite a few rotting/leaking boards. I specifically asked that all repairs be sealed to prevent leaks (boards and panels) and that the company inspect the roof and notify us of any additional leaks. We went from 7 leaks pre-repair to 25+ post-repair. 90% of these leaks came from where the company repaired the roof. The remaining leaks came from the rotting boards we requested they replace but did not. The owner, Levi, was very apologetic, said the crew did not do what they were asked and told us they would take care of it and when they were finished our roof would have no leaks- at no extra cost. I was very impressed by and thankful for this response. The project manager came out to see the leaking areas and rotting boards and about a week later the crew came back out and sealed the roof, replaced the remainder of the bad boards, added sealing grommets to the screws, etc. My husband and I were under the guise that this company wanted to fix their mistakes. There was never mention of additional cost at any time but we were apparently expected to pay for all 26 of the extra boards, the tape, foam added to the ridge cap and some labor. Then the bill came. It had gone up $1600. Levi and Keith insisted that when my husband talked to the project manager, Jocson, he requested additional work. Here are the problems with this: 1. If a roofing company is replacing panels, they should be sealed because the purpose of a roof repair is to prevent leaks. I also specifically asked that all repairs would be sealed leading us to believe that any sort of sealing tape for panels was included in the original quote. 2. We told the roofer we wanted all of the rotting leaking boards replaced, they determined that number to be 15. The roofers picked 15 boards to replace- 80% of these boards were along the replaced metal sheets making them more easily accessible. There were plenty of rotten boards still present- so did the inspector not account for enough boards or did the roofers replace the wrong boards? Either way..the companies mistake that we paid for. 3. Jocson told my husband our roof needed foam added to the ridge cap where the metal sheets were replaced during his reinspection. My husband, under the guise this company was going to take care of all leaks, agreed that sounded good. No extra cost was ever mentioned. We never signed another contract. We were never told there would be extra charges. It was never implied there would be extra charges. If they told us additional work was needed at extra cost before doing the work and sent a new contract/quote that we agreed to we would happily pay it! Levi admitted to this failure in communication. Apologized. He said he saw this coming which suggests he was aware that he and his partners misled us. He said for $2000 more they would have just replaced the entire roof- after the fact. He took off $300, dropping the extra cost to $1300. We paid it because we pay our bills on time and pay for services promptly- its the right thing to do. This company does not operate ethically as we do. Communication with this company is also terrible. From start until finish I never once received an update on anything (quote, materials ordering, completion, etc.) unless I asked for it. We always seemed to be talking to a different person, none of which were ever present on the jobsite. We never got feedback or advice from them suggesting that our roof needed additional repair. Unprofessional and disorganized. To add insult to injury we asked for a veterans discount which they do offer but we never received.
