I appreciate all the effort in decorating the establishment. There are several Mexican or Latin-inspired items making up the interior decor of the place as well as a television playing what I believe is a Mexican telenovela. In the middle was a counter offering various snacks and other wares available for selling. It may not be the fanciest of places, but I do believe they are not going for that kind of setting. What the place is successful in establishing is a homey, comforting vibe. The service we got here was very warm and accommodating. I cannot remember all the minor questions and requests I had, but what I remember was the excellent customer service I received. I have never been to Mexico, but I can only imagine that actual Mexican fare would be fairly close enough to what we got here. There are a lot of spices, seasonings, and dips available in the food, which makes the dining experience a great culinary explosion of flavor. There is not a lot of seating available inside, so you would be good to come early or order take out. The price of their tacos may also not be the most affordable one available for this category of Mexican food places.

True Mexican Taste ? Debatable. The food was not great at all. I only ended up eating here because of the high rated reviews The only good thing was the customer service. The owner explained everything in detail about what they offer. We ordered lamb birria and steak order of 5 tacos, Tortas Lamb. There was also another dish but I don't remember the name. It was basically rice, chicken and beans mash in a box, which by the way was ridiculously small. Felt like jail food. The price does NOT justify the quality and quantity. You can go to a nice restaurant and pay the same amount. I usually get satisfied with any food provided to me since I am not such a picky eater so me telling you all this clearly shows that this place wasn't worth it. The bean rice and chicken bowl was a waste of money especially with its high price of $22. It was bland and did I already mention it felt like jail food? Lol. The Tortas which was a bread with chicken, cheese and bean inside was not worth it at all because it just didn't have the taste except the lamb. I had to just eat the lamb by itself because the bread was over powering and cheese was bland. I don't know what cheese they used for this Tortas but it just didn't go together. I gave it one extra star because lamb tacos were good, it had good a taste and it was a good quantity. Overall this place was not worth the price. For these 3 dishes I paid $90. I am sure you guys will agree that with $90 you can get better Mexican food out there.

We were a group of hungry people and so the motherly figure up front was so helpful in making our decision! We knew we wanted tacos and horchata and we got tostadas and churros too. Will have to say- it is quite expensive. $70-80 for 12 tacos. BUT they were definitely well filled and tasted very authentic. I would definitely come back for the churros and horchatas.

It's a small family owned place so not the best seating but the food is authentic and delicious.

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, vibrant, welcoming , colorful décor, lively music, and the comforting aroma of fresh tortillas. The food is the real highlight. The tacos were packed with flavor, the meat perfectly seasoned and tender, and the salsa had just the right balance of heat and freshness. You can tell everything is made fresh, from the guacamole to the house-made sauces. The portions were generous without sacrificing quality. Service was friendly, with staff happy to explain dishes and offer recommendations. It felt less like dining out and more like being invited over for a home-cooked meal. In my opinion I prefer the tacos over the birria because the beef in the birria wasn't as tender as the suadero taco. Chips are on the house. Table has three types of hot sauce/salsa. They also have halal options. Spacious and free parking on site. Service was quick and friendly as well

When I walked-in, there was a line-up of customers waiting to be served at the ordering counter. I took some time to look at the menu while I was waiting in the line. The line went quickly, which was great, and before I knew it, I was at the front of the line. Upon reaching the front of the line, I was greeted by a kind young woman, whom asked what I would like. I settled on two tacos; one with ground beef, and the other with grilled chicken. I was then given a number plaque, and asked to find a table in order to wait for the food. I waited about ten minutes, then was brought the food directly to my table, which I thought was great. When I noticed the two tacos on my dish, I was impressed with how full they were. There was also additional dipping sauce that came with my meal, along with two bottles of sauces that the server gave to me when he dropped off my food items. When I bit into the tacos, I was blown away at how delicious they were! The ground beef and grilled chicken were cooked to perfection, juicy and appetizing. I loved how full the tacos were, as there was plenty to munch on, which filled me up quite quickly. Along with the hip-happening Spanish music playing on the speaker, and the Mexican-themed decor on the walls, this restaurant truly embodied authentic Mexican cuisine. Complete with excellent service, this experience was something to remember. I will definitely be back!

We decided to start with the Fries Supreme, which have obviously been modeled after Taco Bell's iconic dish. And yeah, they definitely reminded me of that concoction. The fries could've been fresher and hotter but otherwise I quite enjoyed this messy plate. For the main, I went with a couple of tacos: the Chorizo and the Pulled Pork. The latter I found especially enjoyable, as the sauce the pork had been cooked in was delicious. (It was large chunks of pork, though, so I'm not quite sure it qualifies as pulled pork.) The many hot sauces available, plus the two sauces brought with the tacos, really elevated the whole thing, but I really enjoyed the creamy, cilantro-forward sauce included on the plate. Contigo is a cool little place. I'm sure I'll be returning.

Upon entering this restaurant, we were kindly greeted by the server at the front. We were then brought to a table on the upper level near the window which was near the railing therefore, was a tad tight. The music was lively however, not too loud. As well, the décor was set just right for a Mexican restaurant, with many decorations relating to the Day Of The Dead, which is a Mexican holiday. For my meal, I had settled on the pork carnitas without any onion or cilantro, while my daughter had the french fries, and my mother had the beef picadillo. I found that the wraps for the pork carnitas weren't too fresh however, the pork was a good amount, and tasted well-prepared. I would have liked to have some sort of a sauce or topping to go with the pork carnitas however, I only had the side order of diced avocado which was given, along with some Mexican inspired rice. Overall, the food was good however, it wasn't as good as I would have hoped. The prices were a tad high for what we had gotten however, I do respect that this is a family-owned business, and prices are high at every restaurant these days. The service was definitely great, with the server coming to check in on us as we dined, and filling up our water jug from time-to-time. I may come back here to try another item, as the food is definitely authentic, and well-prepared.

I especially recommend the fish tacos--they were perfectly crispy, flavorful, and probably some of the best I've had in the GTA. The portions are huge, so definitely keep that in mind when ordering. We almost went overboard because everything looked so tempting, but luckily our server suggested starting with three tacos instead of four, and she was totally right. We were stuffed but in the best possible way. The staff here are genuinely friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Service was quick, and they made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Overall, this is one of those gems in Streetsville that you don't want to miss. Whether you're a fan of Mexican food or just looking for a fun spot with great vibes, generous portions, and authentic flavors, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommend it!

Very close to square one shopping mall, this is a good option when you're in the area. There was one person in there working as far as we could tell when we went in this evening. We grabbed the box and some tacos. The box is a mix of rice and salad with a choice of filling (we got chicken) and it was topped with some beans, corn and chickpeas with some delicious sauce. The tacos were cool- not your typical Mexican taco with flour or corn tortilla. It was like a pita but crispy after being in the press with the filling and topped with lettuce, salsa and sauce. The sauces are a variety- some being hummus or a tahini which is where the fusion cuisine takes place. Would definitely come back.

Preparation was super quick. I ordered from the Square One parking lot before starting my car, and 15 mins later when I arrived, it was already ready. Food-wise, I'm a fan. While I enjoy shawarma, I often find it too heavy especially for summer, so I tend to stay away. I liked this chicken/rice box a lot since the sauce felt much lighter and easier to eat even when it's hot outside. The portion size was good; the styrofoam takeout box the meal came in was topped up and the amount in it would definitely be enough for one person. There was enough sauce, the whole bowl felt very fresh, and I liked the tomatoes that topped the bowl since it added something cold + tangy to the meal. Location is convenient, next to Square One and easy to find, but has limited (all paid) street parking. It's best to go with someone to drive, pop off quickly to pick up, and go. All in all a solid experience. I'd definitely come back for more Alijandro's Box. At the BOGO price I got it for, portion size was great, but at the original price, I'd think it leans towards being pricey, as the box isn't really that full. But, flavour and freshness are all really good, so I can anticipate myself craving this soon!
