The units were somewhat updated, but all the cabinets needed to be replaced as well as both our washer, dryer, and carpet in our specific unit. The maintenance man, Rich, was the best part! He would fix any issues within a day and was always very friendly and helpful. We originally had loud neighbors for the first six months and you could hear everything since the walls are so thin. There were also issues with parking most nights. I would get home at 8pm and all of the spots in the whole community would be taken. There were multiple days when I would have to park in a guest spot outside of the clubhouse. The gates were broken constantly, which was frustrating since anyone could drive in and out of the community. There were also many issues with the rental fees being entered incorrectly. I would have to call pretty much every other month to have something changed since it was inputted wrong. It was a decent place to live for the short term.

The neighborhood is residential with beautiful manicured homes surrounding the complex. The outside is very well maintained (fresh looking paint on the doors, clean brick walls, perfect landscaping, a pool, and grills for common use. This neighborhood is quiet, family oriented, clean and you just feel safe in this area. That is the exterior, now the interior surprised me even more. The one bedrooms apartment had freshly shampooed carpets, hardwood floor tile, the oak cabinets and window in the kitchen/dining den gave the kitchen a bright sunny appearance. All appliances looked either well kept or new. The bathroom was immaculate. First deal maker or breaker for me is the bathrooms in any apartment, and these apartments impressed me. The bath had some kind of brushed white tile that looked brad new (and clean). If you are a clean and a neat freak like me, you will be very happy with the bathrooms. The upstairs unit bedroom is huge! Lots of closet space and the living space for the bedroom is large enough for your bed, dressers and a computer desk and a cozy reading chair. Finally an apartment where the bedroom gives you that spaciousness that's missing from most houses and apartments. Overall I was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The leasing agent, Pauline, makes you feels so welcome, and is very professional and courteous. She sat down with me for some time talking to me and answering all my questions. I would highly recommend at least visiting this apartment as an option. The pros are the numerous stores and some excellent restaurants in the area, which is convenient. But the cons? These apartments are riddled with quality issues. The carpet, stacking washer-dryer, and air conditioner is terrible. Everything runs on electric, and I routinely get $300+ electric bills. Management will do whatever they can to get you to lease for another year, except what actually matters. The materials used to construct the apartment are laughable. The dryer vents into your bathroom and the kitchen becomes extremely hot when cooking. For the area, the apartments are just okay. You don't get much storage space, and the layout leaves little room for anything but the bare minimum. Don't even get me started on the mold, which I corroborated with multiple neighbors. There's better out there for almost $1,700 and $300+ electric. On the plus side, the maintenance team is great.

From getting the AC fixed to holding our deposit money for several weeks after our early move-out date, the business operation here is sketchy and unprofessional. The maintenance team visited way too many times in attempts to fix the AC compressor in the span of a year but ended up not knowing what they were doing. We had to live in a supposedly luxury apartment without AC for over a year and beat the heat during the peak of summertime with just one standing fan that we bought and one portable AC offered by the apartment toward the end of our lease. Despite raising an issue about how a portable AC wouldn't be sufficient to cool down the entire unit that is 1200 sq ft. unit with 2 bd rooms, everyone brushed it off their shoulders. They kept insisting that a small AC unit installed by the window of our primary bedroom was strong enough to chill the entire unit across and even the second bd room, which sounds very unreasonable and shows how uncaring people are. When submitting service requests through the login portal, we were not met with a solution in a satisfactory manner. When reaching out over the phone and via email to speak directly with the leasing office manager, we were given several runarounds saying she was in meetings and couldn't come to the phone. (Yup, she was in a meeting every single time I tried to reach!) Emails went unanswered until we decided to walk up to the concierge in person demanding to speak with the manager there and then to yet again bring up the inconvenience we were put through after spending a hefty amount on the rent. Another thing about not having a functional cooling system is that flies kept entering the room from the vents. It's way too filthy to have this happen to a new luxury apartment building without a trash chute. Overall, any future residents who are considering leasing here should watch out for all the red flags mentioned above. As for now, we're still looking forward to our earnest deposit $ and how much of it would be refunded. More updates to come, as I have told the leasing office several times that we left the room in the condition we were handed over at the time of moving in. Not a single nail hole/ paint chip on the wall can be found as we took care of the room as our own throughout the two-year lease.
