I have never been to a more disorganized, unsympathetic, unprofessional medical office in my life!…read more Not only have I had to wait at least an hour past my appointment start time to actually see my provider there, once he does come in to see me, he can't get out of there fast enough, and never spends more than 10 minutes with me, always making me feel rushed. While I am waiting in the exam room for a technician to start the appointment, they leave all those doors open and I've overheard conversations about other patients, about myself, and staff, and how awful their day is going or how rude or upset the people are they are dealing with! On top of that, I have had so many times that the staff has dropped the ball on completing a request to get a medication pre-approval through my insurance and sent to the pharmacy for me. I've had to play the middle-man between the office, the insurance company, and the pharmacy for over a month now, only to find out that the office has not even submitted the requests I keep asking them to do but they keep placating me over the phone telling me they've already done it when they haven't! Save yourself the the frustration and wasted time and go somewhere else. It's unfortunate because I had heard good things about the doctors here but with so many things wrong with the office, it's just not worth my time or my health to go here.

While I had no problems with the medical care I received over 2 years as a patient of this…read morepractice, my last encounter with their billing office left me extremely frustrated and concerned. I was seen for a physical exam, and as part of this regular exam my physician checked up on the status of several ongoing conditions and wrote prescriptions for them. I was not asked to pay a co-pay in the office, as preventive services are covered without co-pays under the ACA. However, several weeks later, I received a bill for a $20 co-pay. The office had coded and billed this as two separate encounters, one for my annual physical and one for a "diagnostic exam," with the rationale that because the doctor had asked about my symptoms and written a prescription that this is separate from a regular preventive visit. While I understand that there are situations in which this kind of flexibility in billing is necessary (for example, a patient comes in for a physical and says "by the way, I've got this thing! Can you figure out what it is and treat it?"), routine management of stable ongoing conditions doesn't strike me as the kind of situation that warrants a separate billing code. I'm less annoyed to be out the $20 than I am by the lack of transparency. For example, I asked at the beginning of the appointment if there would be a copay or if the office was coding it as a physical exam. The office could have said "there is no copay, but if you bring up any symptoms or address any problems we will treat that as a second encounter and you will have a copay." I've had minimal contact with them over the past 2 years as I was relatively healthy. They have a very busy schedule so scheduling regular visits with them can be challenging and needs to be done several months out. Front office staff is friendly, wait times are standard (probably 15 minutes).

Medical staff does not know how to keep good updated records of your medications & allergic…read morereactions to such! I've told numerous different doctors & nurses my medication list a great many times within the last 3 weeks & even though they appear to enter such in their computers, they STILL manage to get my simple med list WRONG!!!! They also don't check to see what medication knocks heads with other medications you are on! No wonder I have had serious allergic reactions to medications!!!! They have put me on 4 CNS depressant medications when the maximum number the patient should be on is 3 per "drugs.com. Drugs.com states: "Central Nervous System (CNS) Drugs Therapeutic duplication The recommended maximum number of medicines in the 'Central Nervous System (CNS) Drugs' category to be taken concurrently is usually three. Your list includes four medicines belonging to the 'Central Nervous System (CNS) Drugs' category:" This is just the beginning on my gripes about difficulties I've had being prescribed medications & the difficulties I've had with getting advice how to properly wean off meds that have given me adverse side effects! Absolutely horrible! I've been ill for 11/2 months over medications that knock heads w one another without my knowledge!!!! Just horrible!!!
