3 stars so far...historically the facility has treated us horribly but just lately it gives me hope…read morethat those days are over and they seem willing to change. this new "upgrade" to the phone system is staffed with folks who dont know their job but its new so ill give them time to settle in and recieve the proper instruction. i was in the dom there, 10 years ago and nurse derringer was by far the most horrible, vet hating person in or out of the v.a. system. the psych lady poisoned my recirds with lies, personal opinions, false prognosees so i protested their treatment and happily derringer resigned and the psych dept. reprimanded her and deleted the false info. the guys running the dom were totally unqualified and they were guys that took it way too far with drugs and alcohol...bad bad people. so, that was then and this is now and i guess im being hopeful but i want to believe that the obama implants are gone. all id like them to know that not only do they work for us vets...but a total detachment from their job descriptions, acting like they are doing us a favor cannot stand. i thank pete hegseth who has created an environment of change might be sinking in there. im 100% disabled u.s. marine and i thank god for the v.a. when its run properly.

There were only four cots so we slept on the floor. The room was about the size of a bedroom with one exposed toilet and a shower with a broken curtain.There was one person in there that had been kept in there for 3 weeks. Having gone out for recreational time once. There was a satellite phone to be used for calls but when asking to use it, or ask for anything, most CO's acted like they couldn't hear you so you would have to repeat yourself until eventually giving up and deciding not to ask for anything. This was NOT for medical inmates but simply because they would rather house the women in there than one of the pods being used for the men. When hitting the control button to inquire about court dates, getting pads, the phone, or information regarding release you are met with them telling you the button was for emergencies only, except COs rarely ever checked to see if we needed anything. They always were out of period pads when girls needed them and didn't switch out our clothes or linnens once. Multiple times people who were detoxing were brought in instead of being held in their own cell so you delt with sleeping on the floor next to vomit, pee, and feces for hours then being forced to clean it yourself. They lied about the phone being turned on and off during certain times of the day just so they didn't have to walk and go grab it. And when they said they were going to charge it it always came back dead. There was no privacy from the windows facing out toward the hallways so changing, showering, and using the toilet were all done in front of male guards. Meals are at 4am 10:30am then 3pm. The lights never go off, and the CO's would laugh and converse during shift change in the morning to keep you from being able to sleep. If you have to self surrender, do yourself a favor and go down to Camp Verde to do so. Jail is not supposed to be fun, easy, or even comfortable. But being in a small room with 11 other women, around bodily fluids, and neglect from the COs was simply inhumane.

Officer Sthallings incessant refusal to accept receipt of delivered Domino's pizza and share it made the enjoyable padded cell suicide watch slightly less enjoyable. Although his positive attitude and enjoyable personality made the nights more fun at least. Officer "Big Red" Langley was humorous and dutiful to loyally bring TP and escort me to med 3A frequently at nights as that days nutritious and delicious quality swill ran through me. I'd like to thank Officer Saunders for always being joyful and respectful, it was a pleasure to see Saunders in medical most days. To the screaming schizophrenic, I'll miss you, the incessant chronic masturbator not so much. And yes to the nurse who needed to know, I did go to The connection center with him, no my hands were never stickier. Speaking of sticky that's probably the best single word to describe the jail, if one had to describe it in a single word, one could even say that the floors there were sticky even after big mop for some reason. Much thanks to Douglas for mopping, you can't say he didn't try. To the unnamed officer, the Kind, older, gentleman, and retired road warrior, who gave me a Gatorade, I greatly thank you. Prescott Justice Court REVIEW: Prescott Justice Court --…read moreJudicial Officer David Parker Case: Small Claims Hearing, March 13, 2026 (1 out of 5 stars) I appeared in Prescott Justice Court on March 13, 2026 for a small claims case involving a clear violation of Arizona's security deposit statute (A.R.S. § 33-1321). I came fully prepared with tabbed exhibits, documented evidence including a USPS postmark proving my landlord mailed my deposit four days past the statutory deadline, and relevant case law including an Arizona Supreme Court decision. The statute is clear: if a landlord returns a deposit late, the tenant is entitled to twice the amount wrongfully withheld. This is mandatory, not discretionary. To the best of my recollection, Judicial Officer David Parker: 1. Stated words to the effect that he "may apply the statute" but "doesn't have to" -- despite the law being mandatory. 2. Excused the landlord's violation of Arizona law by stating words to the effect that the defendant "is old" and that I should "understand she doesn't follow the law all the time" because of her age. Age is not a legal defense. 3. Awarded only $200 when the statute required $2,612.88. 4. Abruptly ended the hearing with words to the effect of "we're done here" when I respectfully pointed out that the statute does not provide exceptions based on age. I presented clear evidence. The law was on my side. The Arizona Supreme Court has ruled on this exact issue. None of it mattered. If you are a tenant seeking justice against a landlord in Prescott Justice Court, be aware that the law may not be applied as written. I have filed a complaint with the Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct.

I found out this morning that there's an employee in this building that cannot read English or is…read moreilliterate and cannot follow through with a request. A DVD has to be taken from where the Dropbox is inside the building to somebody else in the building. I've been informed that whoever the employee is cannot do this and therefore the DVD hasn't been getting to the right person. I would suggest employing some people that have got some work ethics and can follow through with this simple task.

Impressive library that's huge and very well organized, aesthetically pleasing, holds an extensive…read morecollection of books for all ages, as well as looks well maintained. We enjoyed our little visit here though we only had a little over an hour before closing. The children's section takes up about half of the second floor. There's tons of books (obviously), DVDs, periodicals, and even artistic creations by children and community members. Looks like that's also a lot of different programs and events you can attend or join here. The building itself is quite inspiring as it's got some very nice architectural features like angled walls, wood paneling for ceilings, lots of use of metal textures and non symmetrical designs which really makes this library an interesting place to hang out at. There's even a cafe on the first floor in case you get hungry. Overall, we enjoyed our visit.

The main area of the library is already noisy, so it was frustrating when 30 minutes into my reading, the lady with short grey hair started restocking books. She was making so much noise and I even had my Bose headphones on. How come we can't have a quiet place in the library anymore? You would think the employee would wait to restock if there was something reading- it's common library etiquette.
