The store had tons of quick food items and I bet one could have found something for just about every taste. The parking lot is easy to maneuver around within, even if you had a massive camper or 18 wheeler. The staff was somewhat friendly and offered to help quite a few folks find what they needed. The convenience store had stuff from travel to camping to vehicle repair to home and truck cab decoration.

I ordered the pizza when I was like 15 minutes outside of town online. I got thin crust pepperoni with extra sauce. When I got there it took a few more minutes for my pizza to be ready. I looked around and bought stuff I didn't need in the meantime. Took my pizza home (another 15 minutes) and starting eating it. I liked the crisp crust. I don't think they put extra sauce on it because it was a little dry. Considering it was advertised to have 4? different kinds of pepperoni on it I didn't think it had that much flavor. It certainly wasn't the worst pizza I've ever had but it was nowhere near the best either. Next time I'd probably choose Domino's instead but I'm glad I tried it. Oh, and I filled up my tank on the way in so there's that. I'm sure this is already a big hit in Owensville though!

I moved here to a small town about 7 years ago. As anyone else, I looked for ways to eat and…read morepurchase fuel. I have 7 vehicles. Immediately, Caseys fit my needs. I have been a regular for pretty much the whole 7 yrs. I like the pizza, burgers, Chicken sandwich. I only took one star off due to the belligerence of one employee. Nearly all of these people are great and polite. There's one cook that thinks he's the manager I believe but is grossly fooling himself. For 7 years I have been asking for tomato on my burger or chicken sandwich. They are sold with just a bun, which is a bit dry to eat that way. But, I believe it keeps them fresher. So, for 7 years, I always ask for tomato or onion. There is a subway type sandwitch bar there also and they always have the extras. Most times they charge for them and that's ok. Today was a busy day and the store had several customers. I ordered the chicken sandwitch and asked for a slice of tomato. He loudly exclaims "we are not allowed to do that"! Loud enough could almost be heard outside, as if I was committing a crime. I took my sandwitch and stepped over to the sandwitch bar and asked the young lady if I could get a slice of tomato from her, as she already has tomatos on the bar. She was all too happy to oblige. Like I mentioned, I have been doing it this way for the last 7 years as a lot of other people. As I said, I am a regular. 'Baby Huey' comes out of the kitchen and over the the sandwitch bar, proclaiming loudly again, "we arent aloud to do that!" rudely interrupting the young lady, who had a tomato slice ready to put on the sandwich. I could have easily let the situation get out of control, but I decided to let it go. What can you expect out of a pea brain. Very big and tall with no brain. Still, I know these days, good help is hard to find, but sometimes they need to follow-up on the new hires. Especially, in these days which we live. I still recommend the store overall.

Their truck was bumping good music and getting the party going. I decided to try what they had. I tried their Pulled Pork Nachos. They were okay. The BBQ tasted good but the dish needed more of it. The pineapple slaw was a no go for me. I didn't see a single pineapple in the slaw and it lacked the flavor of so. I did enjoy their BBQ sauces. They had multiple options: Original, Smokey and Tennessee Red (which was my favorite)! I'm giving Blue Hog 4 stars because I'm reviewing the sauce and the sauce was the saving grace. If I was reviewing the BBQ overall it would have been lower.

Thank you for your service The space is warm and cozy. There a a few spots to sit and enjoy your goodies. The menu offers both sweet and savory options. It's a great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The food menu includes Shepards pie, tamale pie, and pot pies, soups, a few sandwiches, quiche, and breakfast options. I'll be passing through again soon and plan to report back on the savory fair. Let's get to the real reason for my visit: dessert pie! The list boasts traditional and specialty pies. They offer individual 4" or full 9" pies. The small pies can be purchased individually or as a 4-pack. I ordered 3 of the four packs to sample as many flavors as possible. I also ordered a full peach and apple crumb. I recommend for an order this size to call ahead. All the pies I purchased were frozen and had to be baked before serving. The mini pies come in an oven safe cardboard tin. I took these to work and heated them up in the toaster oven. They were big hit!! The consensus was that peach was the hands down favorite closely followed by tart cherry. The full size pies come in a traditional pie tin and bake up nicely in the oven. The only downside is waiting for the pie to cool after it comes out of the oven!! The apple crumb also comes very highly recommended. I would be remiss to not mention the drinks and smoothies. You'll need a little something to go with your pie. If you're passing through or even if it's a little out of the way, I recommend stopping in and checking this place out!?

So right off the bat I was irritated. It's a big shop, with lots of ham for sale, but wow, they are super pricey. I know they will say it's because they do all their own smoking, but there's a similar style place in Arizona where I live called The Pork Shop that has way more reasonable prices. Not that I'm suggesting you drive to AZ for a ham. I'm just saying their prices are a bit on the high side. I might stop in here again, but probably not.
