I ordered the mid-range wash on the pump when paying for my gas. The vacuum was $2 so I skipped it. I pulled up to the robotic car wash, punched in my code from the gas receipt, and drove in. I put the car in park and it took the washer about five minutes to wash my car. Kind of fun to watch the device sweep over and around my car, spraying it with various soaps and rinses, but I prefer the car washes you drive through with the brushes because I feel they do a better job. I arrived at the restaurant a little early, so thanks to Google Maps, this Speedway served as my fill-up. It's on the corner of 60th and Portland, and located right next to a very architecturally interesting Dairy Queen. I entered on the 60th side as there's significant road work on Portland when I was there. So for what I needed (a rental car fill up - self serve), with easy access and minimal wait, this place does what it's supposed to. The neighborhood bonus was the before mentioned Dairy Queen and a most interesting Know Name Records across the street. And it was easy to get back to the 5-8 club on time.

And sure, they have all the normal caffeine things that your monster energy drink addicted cousin that has a goatee would want every morning. What's notable here is that it has often a clearance section. I added two pictures of them. Whenever there's like a weird flavor of candy that the public doesn't really want or after holidays. It's always a good idea to sneak inside after you pay for gas outside to see if they have a $1 snack or two. Often you will find something! Preventing us from giving five stars is that the hot snack foods aren't always available. It's largely only 100% around the lunch hour where you are guaranteed to find what you want.

The price of the car wash is the same as other holidays. There is a guy that scrubs the car as you go in. I am not sure of his name but he is very thorough which is awesome in the winter when you have so much snow caked under your car. The car wash itself though is not great. It gets it pretty clean but at the end it did not rinse all the soap off and it did not dry very well. Which means i now have alot of soap streaks all over my car and because it's winter they are frozen soap streaks. But on the plus side the giant chunks of snow are gone.
