So many bad things to say about this place. We moved here from San Diego so weren't able to have a tour before signing the documents. Our 1st apt was horrible. We had asked for the renovated yet they gave us an old model. We had ROACHES, BLACK MOLD IN OUR TOILET, neighbors stomping upstairs, ac leaking all day, SUPER SLOW WIFI WIRING. When we went to the office for the mold problem, they insisted it wasn't mold. I'll upload pictures. We began to look for a new complex to move into but they convinced my boyfriend they would fix as many problems as they could. We were able to move into a renovated model by renewing the lease 2 months into our lease. The new model is a lot nicer but let me just say WE'RE ALREADY TRYING TO BREAK OUR LEASE EARLY BECAUSE OF SO MANY COMPLAINTS. I'll list pro and cons: PROS: new appliances, new cabinets, granite tops, maintenance reply time is quick and friendly, 4 pools (one is currently closed due to MORE construction ) CONS: -maintenance does not fix all problems. They just show up and don't really know what they're doing (sent in 3 requests to fix water temperature and it's still not fixed) -We weren't able to use our balcony or washer/dryer for 3 weeks due to construction on balcony. Construction started at 7am Monday-Saturday and ended at about 5pm (I was working from home so was home all day). Management did not take anything off of the rent, instead assured us $20 of laundry credit on a gift card was enough for the 3 weeks. -I have emailed the office email address TWICE and have not received a response. It's the email they advertise yet no reply. -Parking is horrible. I just bought a new car and I have about 10 new dents from the parking here. -Currently having MORE CONSTRUCTION done on the new office building. They closed even more guest parking. -Every time it rains, there is a HUGE LAKE IN THE GUEST PARKING THAT STAYS THERE FOR WEEKS! My boyfriend and I call it Lake Motif. It sounds funny but it's true. -All the doors and windows are not insulated correctly which makes the place super cold in the winter. Our front door is so uneven, you can see where the wind comes in. -Charge residents for everything! Receiving packages, "pest control", water bill is divided between the residents. -Horrible app to pay rent. Sometimes it says our rent is $950 and now it says $850. -The wifi NEVER works! We have cox and have the deluxe package. So many techs have come out and told us it's the apartment wiring, not the service. So the wifi does not work and we NEVER GET SERVICE IN OUR APT so we can't use cell data either. This location is so interested in renovating the property. Don't be fooled by the appearance of the property. There is literally cops and choppers here every other day. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS! Do not rent here you will regret. We're literally counting the days until our lease is up or we have the money to break the lease early. read more

Her name is Catie & she will always make sure that the residents are taken care of; from understanding a financial crisis to quickly informing me on how I can receive a new air filter, if need be. She is always genuine and kind with her words & it is very comforting, from the residents' standpoint! Also, Anthony; one of the Leasing Professionals, always answers my questions when I call into the office and serves me right with a smile. I have only lived here for 3.5 weeks and I just had to get out of there. The parking is terrible, you have one assigned too and still someone manages to park in it. Within one week I got 2 cars towed. You got a guest, expect them to park miles away. If you have a dog they automatically give you the building with other dog owners and they pass your window to walk along the wall and my dog goes nuts. Never peace and quiet. First moving in the apartment looked dirty, chipped, and the only "upgrades" was the fridge and oven. Wow right? That's just amazing!!! Lol it doesn't make up for the fact everything is chipped in the kitchen. The shelves are broken. The balcony light doesn't even work from the bedroom. Did I mention if others don't pick up after their dog they start posting on your door saying "fine $100" and except you to be responsible. Oh moving out they charged me for carpet cleaning and a pet treatment to the carpet that already looked like trash. That's $275. Considering I was there less than a month, this place is a joke. My Motif Story...I have only been living at Motif Apartments in Phoenix for 4 months and I can't wait to move! Let me start the with pros: The apartment is very modern. I love the light fixtures, cabinets, counter tops and the build-in book shelf. When I have a problem, maintenance comes in a timely manner to fix the issue. But the bad certainly outweighs the good. The walls are very thin. It sounds like an elephant is walking on my head. My upstairs neighbor plays the music too loudly even though I have asked that it be turned down. The lady across the street is constantly arguing with her guy and the other night, she was in the parking lot yelling at him at 3am. The garbage dumpsters need to be emptied twice a week or more. The other day, there was no place to put my garbage but in front of the dumpster because it was so full. People hang around in the court ways(between buildings) and on the stairs, leaving cigarette butts and garbage. It reminds me of the projects. (Yes I know because I grew up in one). I'm not comfortable living here at all. I would think for the price, it would be a better place to live. Lastly, they say they do back ground checks but a month after living here, I received a letter that a registered sex offender was living in the complex. I did address this with the office and they stated he wasn't on a lease and that they were looking into it! Again, I can't wait to move! read more

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING LIVING HERE, READ THIS: I lived in different apartments down by 19th Ave and Thunderbird. While there, we found out our neighbors were involved with ISIS (later killed in Texas), place infested with cats, smell of weed every night, cops constantly getting called, shootings, killings, break-ins. You name it. The list goes on and on. I wanted to express how horrific our old apartment complex was so that YOU are able to grasp my next comment: I WOULD RATHER GO BACK THERE THAN LIVE AT MOTIF (Villas at cave creek). This is by far the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. If you're STILL considering moving here, let me tell you what you're in for: Nice, relaxing - freezing cold showers because the damn boiler had to be replaced AGAIN. (Prepare to not have water for a week or more) Cockroaches, dust worms, dust in general, broken lights, broken doors, drawers falling out, carpet is a disgusting mess (yes, prior to move in), incompetent leasing agents who couldn't care less when you have a complaint or in need of repair. They're remodeling this place and we had construction for almost two months now in the same units; drills, saws, hammering, yelling, loud music, running up and down the stairs or on the same floor (shakes the damn place) - from 7:30 or 8 AM to 9PM every day. I'm a student and I spend 8-10 hours a day studying (which is why we got a two bedroom apartment to begin with ( 1 is my study area) and we have all of the units around us being remodeling. I started to go Into our closet in our master bedroom to study because it's the only area with the LEAST amount of noise. When I called the office to ask if they can shut the doors to the other apartments while tearing the damn place down to minimize the sound, she told me to go to their office and sit in the "business" area or by where the TV is to study. OR better yet, go back to our master room...Why would I do that when we pay AN EXTRA FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THE SECOND BEDROOM A MONTH!!!??? This isn't the only thing. They have had construction, building, painting and really, any kind of thing that you could possibly think of causing noise (I'm not talking about everyday noises that you can just ignore), I'm talking about the loud, lasts several hours, inconveniencing your life in every possible way and preventing you from getting work done. I've been here since December 2015 and we haven't had one week of calmness. Seriously, don't come here. We've lived in a few apartment complexes and this place is not worth a single penny. Walk away. Walk-the fuck-away. If you want to keep your job, keep up with school, not have your apartment fall apart every day, peace of mind - STAY AWAY FROM HERE. read more

I am SO surprised with all of the negativity in these reviews! I have lived here since November of 2015 and have been INCREDIBLY satisfied with the management. When I moved in, I was informed of the management change and that they were working on making it a nicer place to live...they're definitely doing that! The day I moved in, they were reprinting my building...which I LOVED! I have a dog and all the gravel was quite an adjustment for her. I hoped for a gate to the park behind my building and it was like they read my mind! They put a gate in! Now I can take her to the park everyday! Yes there's a lot of construction and work being done but that tells me that they're continuing to improve the complex and that makes me happy! I'm MORE than ok to deal with a little construction for an even better complex. Maintenance is quick and friendly! And the management, HANDS DOWN, is the best I've ever dealt with. Rudy is my favorite! From the moment I was even just considering moving in, he's gone out of his way to work with me and help take care of any fixes or needs I had in my apartment! I plan on this being my last apartment and because of the management, I'll be here until I buy a house. *****If you are considering moving here and are willing to be flexible during the apartment transition...DO IT!! My second week here.. some man was stabbed, entire shirt saturated in blood. Water damage. Gate doesn't work and this place is in an extremely dangerous area. Saw hair on the stairs on the opposite side of my apartment and the smell of something rotting. When my boyfriend told the office, they promptly investigated (dont know what they found) it was enough for them to come back to our apartment and thank my boyfriend for letting them know about whatever they found. Gunshots all the time. Heard some woman screaming HELP and police showed up. Dead bodies have been found at the park behind the complex in the past. We didn't get the floor plan we wanted and didn't know because they wouldn't give us our keys until the 3rd even though our move in date was the 2nd because they wanted us to do a walk through before getting the keys... wish they told us that before our move in date!!!!! I'm stunned that we purchased a nicer floor plan and got some bs we hadn't ever seen before, not even on the website. If you have kids especially, please please please don't move here. A sex offender currently lives here as well.. Paying 2021 prices for a dump that was built in the 80s. I'm scared to go outside by myself, I literally have a bag of cat poop/hamster bedding in here and I am not taking it out until tomorrow. Even when my son is at his dads I keep all my doors locked. Maintenance is prompt but their work looks like someone gave a toddler some nails and a hammer and they don't give notice when they're coming so make sure your not in the shower, having sex, naked, or something.. the entire 3 days your waiting. read more

I've lived at the Villas/The Motif for over 18 months now (my renewed lease is 1/2) & it's been a mixed experience. I renewed my lease just because under $750 for almost 1,000 sq ft is pretty inexpensive for 2 bed-2bath (but I'm in the oldest apartment here-not updated) Pros: * There's a decent amount of children living here. I like the family environment. * New management has taken over starting October of 2015, and have already started to update vacant apartments & even repainted all apartments! It's nice what they've done, it looks really updated. * LOTS OF POOLS! I think 4, & if kids are in one, there's 3 more to go to. * Maintenance is fast! Within 24-48 hours...but often water is shut off, or there's no hot water etc & they don't bother to email tenants about it (the least they could do, right?) Cons: * no playground ?? With the amount of children here, there should be one for them to hang out on instead of a tennis/basketball court with no net or hoop? What is this, basically an open flat space. * everyone is always speeding, alwayssss *Staff is sneaky, never gives you a direct answer for anything..and obvious liars at times. Keep your guard and attention up when dealing with them. Plus there's this thing they've been doing where they've been making "mistakes" on leases, aka tricking older tenants into moving out sooner..nice job guys! *sarcasim* This staff/management is ridiculous. .. * no stop signs or even yields * you ALWAYS hear the fire department sirens, accidents, etc from the highway...horrible * bugs, every so often a roach sneaks into our apartment. Why do I pay pest control? * you have to PAY to receive a package in the office (like if you're not home, & they drop it there) between ($0.75-$3.00) and of its over 10 lbs it gets returned. That's ridiculous. * parking is horrible. Tight, and no one knows how to park & if you can't fit, most likely you're parking far away in the unmarked/uncovered spots. OK apartments I have lived here for one year so far. The first unit I was in had bug issues but they moved me into another unit within 1 day of reporting the problem at no additional cost. Cool! I haven't had many issues since being here. Maintenance is awesome. The come same day. Maybe 1 day later at the latest. I like that you can pay and put work orders in online at anytime. Very convenient. The units are a little pricey but I've learned that AZ is just expensive. At least compared to where I come from. My favorite office staff members are Adi, Anthony, Christina, and Chelsea. Nothing against any other staff its just those are the people I deal with on the regular and they are always nice and super helpful. Now, it is hard getting someone to answer the phone. Sometimes, you can call all day and not get an answer. It's best to go in if you can. It is true that the water is shut off all of the time. I personally have never been affected by it but they are constantly shutting the water off. parking is awful. No other way to say it. The spaces are really small and you only get assigned 1 spot, per household. Parking is extremely tight and people are right. Forget about having visitors. There's hardly ever free space. Depending on your unit, you may or may not have a roach problem. Some people have it really bad, some don't. As stated earlier, my 1st unit was infested. The unit I am currently in is not bad at all. I've seen maybe 6 total in the entire time I've been here. The apartments are pricey to me. I feel like all the units should be upgraded. It sucks that there's different levels when the rent is pricey regardless. I haven't had many issues with noises. That may depend on what building you're in too. Move- in/ out can be costly. It makes no sense to charge me to transfer. I feel like you should just be able to do that without a fee and that you're initial deposit should transfer over. All in all my experience has not been bad here at all. But I can understand everyone else's complaints. It's just that I have not experienced everything that they have. I'm actually looking to do a transfer but may not if they are trying to give me an older looking unit for well over $1200. I will definitely not renew a lease if it is this high. If they come down on the price then maybe I'll think about it. read more

This place is gross. I was suppose to move in on 12/1/2019, but days beforehand I was told I had to wait until 12/15/2019. Paid two extra weeks of money for hotel and boarding for cats. Finally got into apartment and COCKROACH infestation was in the apartment. For another month I dealt with these lovely bugs. Then the neighbors began there yelling. Bellow sounded like the guy was pretty mean to his family, yelling and screaming every night. This crap continued the whole tome I was there. I finally just left. DO NOT RENT HERE, not worth it! Put my 30 day notice here because the way management handles situations here is very unprofessional and if you dont believe me I put a 30 day notice cause they would not accept my esa dog (a husky) and they knew about her, I submitted paperwork now are trying to send me a notice of termination during my last 10 days so that when i submit an application anywhere else no apartment will take us because the notice and the balance this team takes pleasure in harassing their residents dont make the same mistake we did especially if you have children. I could end up homeless now with my 1 year old daughter that's how much these people care about their residents. read more

I have lived here for two years. They haven't upped my costs and have been super nice to me. Maintenance is super quick and helps fix any issues in the apartment. The only reason I have to knock off a star is that the floors are thin and you can hear every step of your upstairs neighbors and the parking spots are a little small. But the price is fair and I have lived in much worse apartment complexes. But with 4 pools and a Jacuzzi, plenty of dog cleanup stations, and a few BBQ grills what is not to love. read more

BAIT AND SWITCHERS!! DO NOT MOVE HERE! i made the mistake of signing my first ever apartment lease at motif because the girl in the office who helped out straight up misinformed me on everything that made me decide to sign here. i forgot her name but she was a small asian girl, maybe jennifer? she said my move in date would be june 4 and when i showed up june 4 i was told a unit wouldn't be available until june 24. me being 19 years old and never having this experience before, i went with it. for the mistake, Christina offered to waive my admin fee and still honor the free month of rent that "jennifer" promised i would get as a promotion or move in special. i was told with the free month off rent that i had the option of splitting up the free month to make my year lease cheaper, or using the free month for the end of the lease. i made sure to ask if that was going to still hold true and i was told YES over and over so i signed the lease. HUGE MISTAKE. on june 24 i walk in and the unit is smaller than the one i wanted. i put up with it cause i had no choice and needed to move into a place asap. living here the air condition has never worked for long periods of time and i had to make maintenance calls to get it fixed along with many other annoying issues.now that i i'm on my last month here, i called the office to inquire about that free month of rent i was promised in june 2019. they said there was no such thing and that they gave me $200 off my move in as the special. I had literally asked over and over if i was going to get my free month of rent with them waiving the $200 admin fee for messing up my move in date by weeks. they said it's not written into the lease i signed. so pretty much Motif and all of Weidner Home is a joke. i called the main office to explain the situation and they were no help. i also have to mention that when i was trying to discuss the situation with the leasing office the assistant manager and the office manager were so incredibly rude and unhelpful and taunting. they laughed when i would get frustrated and say things like "i don't know why you think that you'd get more than $200 off." BECAUSE YOUR OFFICE LIED TO GET ME TO SIGN A LEASE. THATS WHY I THINK THAT. i cannot wait to be done with these poor excuse of apartments. the rent is like $1100 for a 2 bed and it is NOT worth that money at all when you can get a nicer place, better parking, and a competent leasing office for the same price. This will be my second year here and I regret resigning the lease I have called since the first week I moved in about the carpet coming up down stairs neighbors leaving there crying dog on the patio all night blasting music and that isn't even the worst part I have been threatened multiple times to be shot by my neighbor bc I was too close to his parking spot this man has threatened several other people including the trash man Amazon driver and ups guy multiple times and they do nothing about it the birds are disgusting pooping all over my patio people driving around in the middle of the night blasting music I was told I would have to pay for a downstairs neighbors leak if I wasn't home to let them in on time which I have proof of just to later be to told to forget about it that it wasn't a huge issue my car has been hit multiple times my license plate was stolen I no longer feel safe here with my 1 year old son!! read more

I have stayed at two weidner properties and just moved over the weekend out of motif. If i could afford to stay i would be happy to stay at either red mountain villas or motif. The staff made it all worth while. The online programs set up to pay rent and process requests were easy and no waiting for staff to get back. I will say though emails and phonecalls were always answered promptly and in such a professional manner. Maintenance came immediatly and continued to return till the issues were completed, no weeks waits. Any issues they were addressed in a manner. Thank you motif and Miles the property manager for making motif an A plus property to call home. They really do value the quality on the property and the needs of the residences. If you could give no stars I would.. We didn't resign our lease because it's terrible here!! I wouldn't even let my worst enemy lease here. Don't get me wrong the area is a convenient place right off I-17 but that's it everything else is ugh.. I swear the maintenance men don't do anything but ride around on them carts, and the customer service here is bad they talk to you in a condescending way (except Anthony literally).. I put in a maintenance request because it rained inside our apt on the second floor over our entertainment center on all our electronics.. It took them two weeks to come check it out and they so called patched it up from the outside and didn't even worry about to ceiling inside. The floor in the living room was soft af like you could fall thru because there's a dip. Things in the apt was just falling apart and we had to rig them. They took most our security deposit for the carpet, mind you it was already stained b4 we moved in because we mentioned that. Wouldn't even do a move out walk thru. There's so much trash everywhere along with animal poop.. omg and these thin ass walls, floors, and ceilings. Like we can hear everything up stairs and down stairs.. and those rude ass bikers!! I'm all for owning a bike but blaring your pipes at 4 am is just rude.. And safety where we pay to be a in a gated community and the gates aren't even closed.... EVER!! Cops and helicopters are always over here like come on... Oh and it's full of homeless people just lurking around the complex.. I've seen plenty of cars get broken in to. When i see people move in I'm just like " you poor sucker" like you don't know what you're getting in to... Everyone I seen move out this summer and i stopped to ask them why they're moving they all say the same thing that this place sucks.. Ahh man and the parking! Drives me insane! But the icing on the cake was the dead body smell for about two weeks straight... RIP 2372.... yea.. no it was time to go!! PIGEON CRAP EVERYWHERE!! I have broken my lease and moved out early due to the huge amounts of pigeon crap that is on my balcony! I have complained for over a year and management failed to rectify the problem, after 10 months they sent a crew up to wipe off railing and give me a $25 gift card! Maria is the most ignorant manager I have ever met, and I have been renting for over 30 years. I have a handicap placard, and when I asked her not to re-assign me 10 spaces farther from the apt. stairs, she told me she would be calling the lawyers to see if she had to honor that request. For what you're paying for rent you might as well rent a house or rent at an actual luxury apartment complex. What they charge for rent compared to how they handle the upkeep and general look of the complex is laughable. The Motif Apartment Homes look like projects but cost as much as townhouses. There are so many stray cats, the apartment complex always smells like urine and there is poop from the stray cats and the animal owners who just let their animal use the bathroom where they like and feel as though everyone wants to see what their dog has been eating. The whole complex looks outdated and dirty but if you live in the front where their show apartments are there is grass an sculpted shrubbery, in the back of the complex they have let the rocks outside turn to pebbles and sand. There are 3 pools but they look outdated and never clean. Security within the complex is loose. There are constantly drug addicts dumpsters diving and just walking around the complex looking in cars. There is a no entrance gate, well I take that back they ban installing a gate for like 6 months. If you like to entertain, say goodbye to hosting at your house your guest will never have parking after 5PM, parking is so bad people have started to park on the access road. I'm more than convinced that once they bought this complex they did nothing but update the counters and throw in washer and dryers. The plumbing has to be about 50 years old. The water in ALL or MOST of the units is off every other week for a day at a time with no explanation to why just a heads up email. Whatever they are trying to fix with the plumbing obviously just need to be replaced and they are trying to save money by doing repairs that constantly need to be done over. You would guess that the maintenance team had no prior training, they put carpet in terribly and paint like toddlers and have the audacity to just leave their poor work like it's an accomplishment. The complex only accepts cox, they don't tell you that in the lease or during the touring process. It's just a mess al together. I can't even name too many good things about this place. Look elsewhere! Weidner is choosing to leave this unit in this condition too, they have other complexes that look stunning but let go or never even tried to make it look worthy of the rent they charge. They truly don't care about the upkeep. read more

If you have children or if you are a female, you are not safe here! Lived at motif for less than 6 months because we were no longer safe. We received multiple death threats by an individual that lived less than 500 feet away. Our personal property was damaged and occurred on the Motif's property, and they did nothing to accommodate the situation. And there are always gun shots going off in either the complex or the park that neighbors motif. The office offered no help to resolve the issue of the death threats so we had to end our lease and spent an additional thousand dollars to find a new place to live, since motif did not refund us any money. And as to our knowledge, the individual that sent the death threats IS still living at Motif. I REALLY HOPE FUTURE RESIDENTS ARE AWARE OF THE WAY WE WERE TREATED. read more

I visited family that lives in these apartments and I have considered moving in, the apartments and grounds are nice!

Lived there for 8 months and can say my apartment was nice and the maintenance people would always come fix issues. However the front desk people were rude, never get things done and never return your call. The property itself smells like animal urine, the landscaping is awful and there are very little parking spots. read more

Long story short, don't live there. Unprofessional office staff , the unit was leaking during monsoon , they charged us for carpet cleaning even though we had it professionally cleaned, they gave us a parking spot that was assigned to someone else with same permits numbers and told us to deal with the person ourselves!! Can never get them to pickup the phone when you call (pre COVID) . Just stay away. read more

Worst place to live. From the bad maintenance to bad communication on the front office's end, it's not worth living here. Just recently found out I wasn't getting any mail or packages because front office put a paper saying VACANT in my mailbox. How is it that I'm paying you but you don't recognize I live here. Not even an email or anything to notify me of any changes or anything I had to do in order to receive my belongings. Very disappointed. Will not be signing another lease here. read more

HOLLLY CRAP!!! So my friend moved here loved it, patios are huge, came with a covered parking. What they failed to mention is that every covered parking is air tight!! You literally have 4 inches to get out of your car no matter how u park. It's like they were thinking of how many parking spots can we fit in verse the comfort of our residents. Your car will get door dinged, your car will get scratches. Even worse there is LIMITED amount of parking for guess, if you plan on having company over you will have to find a spot before 5:30pm and can't move it, if you wait till the last minute you will be parking on the "alley" Parallel style. Mind you all the parking spots are taking so it resorts to at least 20 cars every night parking in the dark unmonitored "alley" it's a car jack waiting to happen. All I wish is that the office did their due diligence to the customers so they can make a decision based on all the facts. 1 STAR!! read more

I wish I could give this zero stars, We've been living at this apartment complex for almost 2 years now and within our first year everything went fine up until this current year, They told us because parking was so short Of spaces, They were taking away designated parking spots And replacing it with flimsy little tags to hang in your car. And it didn't matter whether your car was registered with them or not if the tag fell down from your mirror they tow your car. I have a seven month old son who was my first priority to take care of so the one night that I did not fix my tag they took my car away and expecting me to go down to get it with a seven month old baby and the towing company would not allow me to bring my son inside with me, And even though I had told them that my tag was in my car it just fell down off the mirror these people did not seem to care. I had talked to both the towing company and the apartment. After raising our rent at the beginning of our second year and now this we will not be staying here after our lease is up. I am the only paying income working two jobs just to get by and this just makes it a whole lot harder. read more

Emergency Maintenance?? I live in MN and recently visited my son that lives at the Motiff apartments. My son somehow got locked out of his apt when he shut the door to come meet me in the parking lot to help me with some bags and help me find parking. We called emergency maintenance to help let us back in but they would not come. We called several times. We were told that a lock out is not an emergency. We even let them know the keys were locked inside the apt with his dog and he had left a burner on since he had started dinner. How does this not qualify as an emergency???!!!! We had to call a locksmith to drill into the door. Which they have still yet to contact my son regarding reimbursement for the charges. When we finally got in, it was very smoky inside and the dog was breathing in the smoke. We could smell things burning from outside. He even showed the locksmith the keys were right there on the counter after opening the door. Maybe if the apt had caught on fire then it would be an emergency?? And then what would have happened to his puppy? Maybe we should have called the fire department. I am very angry about this situation!! The life of the puppy was at risk! Not to mention the other residents if it had caught on fire. This is 2021...maintenance should have the capability of verifying renters on tablets or on some type of electronic device. How is it a locksmith can drill a lock and aren't even associated with the complex? Very concerning in my opinion!! If you are not going to send maintenance to help your renters in a lock out situation, then the management should be responsible for the fees of gaining access when it was of no fault of their own. read more

Love love love it here! Everyone is so friendly. It's very obvious the staff cares greatly about the residents. Located near many restaurants and stores! Also it's right off the highway (never hear traffic) which is easier and faster to commute! I would give it 10 stars if possible. read more

I must say that I don't live here, however my fiance does and I am here almost daily. The apartments themselves are nice on the inside. That's where it stops. The stove and microwave are original to the unit I believe. That or the last time they were replaced was 1986 according to the manufacturing stamps on them. When there is a maintenance issue, they take a long time to get to it. For example, the electrical work in her particular apartment seems to be full of gremlins - in the living room if you plug anything into the wall socket, the entire apartment loses power until you unplug it. This has been a complaint for so long that we gave up. They keep saying it's fixed, but it isn't. When the lighting fixture in the closet failed, they took 2 weeks to come see it. The tech said it was one thing, but did another to fix it. AT least that got fixed. She complained about the dryer not working in the unit. After 4 months of no response, I fixed it. This is annoying since they charge rental fees for the washer and dryer. It took 6 months for them to replace a dishwasher that didn't work when she moved in. Still waiting on a light in the corridor near the front door to be repaired - it's very dark and has been out for several weeks. This place also has a lot of criminal activity. Possibly due to it's location next to i-17. Multiple apartments have been broken into in the last few months. Hers was one of them. The minute the office opened they were notified and given a copy of the police report. They have since said they don't have any record of it occurring. Maintenance was called prior to the management office opening and told of the break in. They took so long to respond that I had already boarded up the broken window when they got there. It took them some convincing to change the locks out on the unit as well. The window remained boarded up for a week before they replaced it. We had to go into the office and remind them. At which time the maintenance manager said "well no one told me about it". There seems to be an issue with communication, or a very understaffed or overworked maintenance department. Parking is a pain in the butt too. Visitor parking is always full, and assigned parking may or may not be occupied by other vehicles. Much of the area also seems to smell of marijuana. The laundry room smells of cat urine. Most likely from all the random cats running around that place. read more

I have lived at Motif for over 2 years. I have loved every second. The people in the office are so friendly and funny. It is just a great place to live. The maintenance staff here are always on the job. If you are looking for a nice place to live in the right neighborhood, Motif is where you need to be. I have never written a review about anything so please read this before you even bother with this place... Villas at Cave Creek is the most unprofessional apartment complex I have ever viewed. I am not even a resident at this complex and i'm outraged at the service and the overall attitude of the office workers. We were greeted the first time we went by a girl named Hailey? She was decent didn't seem like she cared to much if we lived there or not so we got our information and left to think about it. We returned late in the week to view an apartment that we were interested in. Pepper was the name of the insanely rude and disgustingly unpleasant women that showed us the apartment... She made crude remarks about the maintenance people and continued to let us know that the property management people had just taken over the property about a month ago and were working on re-vamping the complex. We had our daughter with us and still she insisted on letting us know how much she hates her nephew and blah blah blah about her personal life that her husband and herself were pretty well off and she was pretty upset that she even got placed at the Villas on CaveCreek in the first place because of how disgusting they were. THIS IS THE WOMEN SHOWING US THE APARTMENT I just walked away from my computer to take a minute to gather my thoguhts I intend on writing a review for every encounter negative or insulting everyday so that this place gets the negative attention it deserves.. And crystal? I believe is the managers name she clearly has no control of this place read more
