Best carwash in the area. Not only do they utilize the drove thru machinery, their staff power washes the under carriage as well as hand wash the windows and mirrors. Then does a gental scrub down of the exterior before you go thru the self wash. If you opt onto interior cleaning (only offered thurs-sat). Their crew will do your interior, vacuum, clean, wash your mats etc. They add a fragrance at your request. I usually opt in for the mother Lode, which is about $40 if you add the may cleaning. They do an incredible job for an affordable price. My boyfriend decided to go off road with the windows down while I was out of town in my vehicle one i could not stand all the dust and dirt everywhere. Thanks motherlode car wash! read more

The service itself was excellent. NEXT TIME I will get there first thing in the morning, as it is super busy, I think because they do full service only on Thu/Fri/Sat. Staff is efficient and friendly. I'd like more signage or available people to provide information. Coming out of the tunnel I had no clue where to go next. There was one employee running around to dry the cars but nothing was clear as to where to park or join a line for interior/detailing. I found out from another customer who had been once before that the wait time was lengthy. They recommended leaving and coming back if I needed to do other errands. I explored a monthly charge, but it seemed too expensive. I will be back. read more

Best car wash in the county. The staff is friendly and helpful. They do a great job. They also offer hand wash if your car doesn't fit or does not have a top. And they offer mini detailing where they wax your car and do more detailed cleaning. Love this place! read more

MotherLode Car Wash - 1985 Mercedes-Benz 380SL - Car Wash Near Me - Sonora, California

This is my favorite thing to do in sonora! The people are awesome and competent! That's as good as it gets!

I've been going to this car wash for a few years. For the most part had great service. Today that wasn't the case. I purchased the $35 motherlode wash, and left a $20 tip. I got in my truck and left not really thinking I needed to look over my truck because in the past things were always done well. I drove over to Wilco and when I got out of the truck I noticed how dirty my truck still was. Every wheel well was covered in dirt, sides of the truck still had mud splatters on it and the back of the truck was still filthy. Drivers side mirror had been sprayed with something but obviously not wiped down. Super disappointing, because now I have to come home and wash my truck again! Update* Nicole the manager at Motherlode Car Wash contacted me and had me come In so they could make it right and that they did. Not many businesses do that these days but Nicole was more than gracious and kind. She took care of all the issues and for that I'm truly thankful for! She went above and beyond my expectations! I will definitely be back and next time I'll be more judicious in doing a once over before I leave! Thanks Motherlode Car Wash! read more

I paid 35.00 . The car before mine got a prewash, mine didn't and they finished the wiping, vacuuming but my front bumper was still dirty. I asked them to please wipe it clean. She told me that I needed to wash my car more often at home. However she did spray it and wiped it off. Gosh, I didn't realize that I needed to wash my car before I bring it in! What do I need to ask them in order to get a prewash before going through the wash? read more

Great prewash with both sprayer and brushes. Very friendly staff. Fits larger trucks too

They do a great job, just on their basic $10 wash! Pre hand rinse and sudsing the front window; towel drying the windows and straightening rear-view mirrors (at other washes I frequently forget the r.v.mirrors until I'm driving and cursing my forgetfulness). Thank you very much, Motherload team! read more

Got a full detail and my 2016 Silverado looks like a new truck. All of the dog hair out of the carpet. Great attention to detail. Dash, center console, everything immaculate. Thank you so much! Might have saved me from buying a new truck!! read more

Worst place ever dude I took my car I. Never fully got cleaned that wasn't the biggest problem but second when I got home their brush has absolutely scratched both my mirrors and not like little scratches I'm taking completely took the color off and then kept calling back and no one answers I absolutely do not recommend it I don't even have a big car I drove a Camaro and when I started asking around it happened to a lot of people in the area just be careful read more

Wait over a hour, my car is finally next, but noooo..... someone couldn't wait earlier so they put him in front of me so they can finish his wash. Ya snooze ya lose. Can't wait, too bad. I waited, I have things to do too, but I committed so I stayed. Unacceptable in my view as I've now have been waiting an additional 20 minutes and they're still not done WITH HIS CAR. Never again will I stop in read more

Best place in town and they do the interior as well Thurs thru Saturday. Their membership pricing is reasonable. Great staff, they are all hard workers! read more

UPDATE: Since my initial review of this company, I have been contacted by the manager. Nicole was very apologetic and offered me a gift certificate for a free exterior/interior wash. We went there today and took them up on the wash. It was a pleasant experience, and we'll be back! Thank you to this company for making this right! read more

They say they're open until 5:30pm, but that's a lie. It's Wednesday, August 21st and I just tried to get my car washed at 5:10 pm and it was already closed with the sign out blocking the entrance. Why say you're open until 5:30 if you're not? If you close and turn customers away at a certain time, that should be closing time you advertise. read more

Typical of automatic car washes, only washes to less than perfect. They all seem to be this way. Only washing by hand really makes a cars paint look it's best. One month member ship of $32, one month only, the employees do not go over the car to touch it up after coming out of the car wash. Leave water still on the paint and windows and the back window has debris still. Unacceptable! read more

I love how much this car wash does for you, it's well worth the price I always get the motgelode which is a rounded 28$ and my car looks amazing every time. Had my seats deep cleaned and detailed for 50$ and I couldn't be happier, this is the only place I use and that won't be changing any time soon. They pay such meticulous attention to every detail and your car stays smelling clean for days after. read more

This car wash was previously Indian Creek Car Wash. New owners, local family run business. My car was pre-washed before going through the tunnel and employees were at the end to dry my windows as we exited. Free sanitized vacuums so I could clean my interior! Very friendly and professional, much needed improvement! Thank-you MotherLode Car Wash! read more

There were only two people working today and they did an AMAZING JOB!!! They cleaned my jeep so well which was covered in crumbs from my kiddo! They are kind and fast and totally worth every penny!! Couldn't recommend them more! I love this place read more

what has happened to you guys??? for years i've put off my car washes until i was in your area. no more!!! went in today, sunday 10/21/2024 approx. 2:00 pm. my favorite Motherlode only available a few days during the week. ok, but i said to the kid in the drying area "something feels different." what do you mean? "are you under new management?" "what?" "i mean are you under new ownership?" "i just work here, i don't own it" what a dumb shit! wish i could have pulled my tip!" i went home and open the tailgate - not vacuumed!!! then i noticed the interior carpets had not been vacuumed! final straw. you've lost a local customer who encouraged friends to use your car wash. now i'll bad-mouth your inferior operation. you've become a distance image in my rear-vie mirror. what a shame to loose a prestigious position i'll now get my car washed before coming to the Motherlode. happy trails read more

This is the second time I've been here since they changed owners. After the first time my car was very clean. I like seeing the teenagers working hard. They do a very good job. read more

It's a good car wash. The last few times I've been there they haven't been able to clean interiors due to COVID. I get that. What is important is a good pre wash and hand dry. I think their pre wash can improve... a little more hands on than just pressure wash, but many places don't even power wash. They do pay attention to detail though. If you have an antenna, they'll remove it before the wash and put it back on after. That's smart business. I look forward to this place post covid. read more

Thought I would give it another shot with the new owners taking over but... My girlfriend had loaned me her truck for the day. They had just gotten back from a month long trip and her truck needed a bath. I thought it was the least I could do. I purchased the best one they offer "The Motherlode" $28.00. While I have to say everyone was very nice and accommodating there is why I put a couple bucks in the tip box on my way out. But once I got to the truck I noticed the wheels hadn't been touched at all. So I asked if they could do them a bit more. Two people with rags in hand tried to just rub off the grime with just a rag. Free seeing they weren't getting anywhere with that bright idea. I said that's ok thx. (I went home, sprayed wheel cleaner on them and scrubbed with a big brush till they were shiny. As far as the rest of the vehicle I'll let my pictures speak for me. Don't think there's any reason for me returning only to throw my hard earned cash out the window and I'm really disappointed since I wanted to love the job they did but there's just no way I can. read more

This car wash is great. They are throughly attentive to every detail. I had tried to take a factory sticker off my car, I had remnant of it left on my window. They were able to remove the rest of the sticker off. I didn't not even have to ask them. They went the extra mile. read more

The communication issues I had this morning with the staff were entirely avoidable. I asked specifically for the interior windows to be cleaned. I explained that I could not read the sign since I'm having eye trouble. I had 2 pairs of sunglasses on. I also asked NOT to have any fragrance added, and yet there was fragrance added. I had previously been happy with this car wash. I hope it was just a one-off day. It was extra stress I didn't need. In the end, the job was good, except for the fragrance. I must have said three times NO fragrance. read more

First timer here and I can honestly say it will be my last time here! Brought my car in for a wash and detail. Paid for the 28$ wash (their highest option). At that price point I wasn't expecting a whole lot.. but I was shocked when I got into my car and saw how little effort they put in. Most of the employees are high school kids who honestly could care less. I have weather tech mats throughout the entire bed of my vehicle, and the mats were literally put into my car soaking wet. They simply hosed them off and threw them back into the car to drip dry. My cup holder and center console were neither wiped down or vacuumed. The plastic trim on all my seats still have crumbs and dust. Like I said for $28 I was not expecting much, but I did expect better than this. I will not be returning and I don't recommend you pay to have this experience for yourself. read more

Just got the inside of my truck cleaned and it's GLEAMING! I'm so happy w the work and the price!

Took my car here once and they did an ok job so I was hesitant on taking it back. Took it again and they did a horrible job windows still had water spots because they didn't towel dry the car after (bought the highest wash). The inside was still dirty and dusty. Then the next day my back leather seat was covered in cleaner because they left their spray cleaner bottle back there and the pen they use to mark which wash on the back seat. Sucks because this is the only car wash in town and Indian rock was so good. Would give no stars if I could won't be back. read more

For $28 I didn't expect a full detailing but I was pleased with the interior and exterior cleaning of my car, which was completely filthy given that I take my dogs on mountain adventures every weekend and haven't cleaned the car for a year. Really good car wash! Owner is present and very personable. Will be back and recommend to my friends.

Best car wash in town! I would pay over $200 for the detail job they do at this car wash.
