Really nice facility! Plenty of comfy booths to sit at, or high tops, bar stools, and outside during the warmer days. Lots of beers to choose from, but IPAs and Silent Night seem to be the specialty. Service was what I like from a brewery: there when you need them, not there when you don't. Beer was really good. Definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed the Alpenglow, a hazy ipa. Hubby had the Endless Kolsh which was pretty basic. No food available so we grabbed pizza and brought it in. We were surprised there wasn't really many people there on a Friday night. I would have loved to try a flight but bartender seemed busy with just locals inside. Just one guy working so this must be the norm. Bartender was friendly when we were served. They also had some pretty good live music! They also have a whole merch section with very reasonable prices. Inside bar area was pretty nice, but bathrooms were not great. Def not a top destination but I would come back for good beer if back in town.

Had a solid time here at Mother Earth. Stopped here with a friend after a round of golf at Cutter Creek. The place is nice and spacious. Well decorated and vibrant! Grabbed a flight of brews and enjoyed chatting with the bartender. Grabbed a Mother Earth Rye Whiskey to try at home. All in all a very chill good time!

For a small town like Kinston, this is a great brewery. The taproom has a lot of seating inside. Large bar area, also with other seating. The beer menu is large and has a hell of a variety. I enjoyed bourbon barrel stout. If you have someone who is not into beer, then they do have some wine by the glass. No table service, at least not when I was there. You have to go to the bar and get your drink. No food here but I did notice some customers getting food delivered while they enjoyed their drinks. I'm not going to claim this place is kid friendly, but there were families with kids here. It is a casual atmosphere. If you love beer and live or traveling to Kinston, then I would highly recommend.

Friday night libation stop before heading home after a day of outlet shopping. Cheers!

Delicious craft beer selection with great varieties to please all craft beer palettes, from sours, to Sercy Hard Water, to ales, lagers and their annual release Silent Night Imperial Porter. Bring your own food and enjoy a delicious cocktail.

KAYA Huckleberry Lime Non alcohol hemp drink

Definitely try this new item. KAYA. I wasn't in the mood for alcohol so I tried this hemp huckleberry lime. Super chill experience. When I was there they had it in the vending. If not just ask at the bar.

Great place, fun and inviting atmosphere, good beers and ciders, and an abundance of choices. Staff is really friendly, too. Worth the drive from Greenville, for sure!

What a nifty place! High ceilings, a huge wraparound bar, antique wood floors, and a friendly bartender welcomed us to the vast downtown brewery. Our witbier and pineapple ale were so refreshing! We enjoyed them on the back patio where the kids played with blocks and games thoughtfully provided by Mother Earth. The only quibble was that there were no juices or non-alcoholic drinks for kids that day other than water. We will absolutely be back should our travels bring us to Kinston again, and we'll keep an eye out for Mother Earth when shopping for brews!

Great spot for casual get together. Wonderful selection of craft beers. Staff were friendly and outgoing. Took a tour, and saw there sustainable brewing pratuces, finished at the tap room tasting there craft beers.

If there is a troika of must-stops for replenishment in Kinston, this would be one of them. Well, if you're like me, you already made your reservation at Chef and the Farmer well before you come to Kinston, then the inevitable question becomes, "What else do you do in Kinston?" Come here is the short answer. It's a short block from Chef, and en route is The Boiler Room, the more casual venture that Vivian Howard and her husband Ben Knight opened that happens to serve beers from Mother Earth Brewing. That's frankly where Jamie W. and I tasted their beers, and they were perfect on a balmy Eastern North Carolina afternoon. There to wet my whistle, I had the $5 Weeping Willow Wit. It had a crisp tartness due to the bitter orange peel and fresh coriander that infuses the flavor (photo: http://bit.ly/1QxgkVz). Later, as we were devouring a Butterbean Burger, we shared a $5 Park Day beer, this one more of a light-bodied Pilsner (photo: http://bit.ly/1cUE2bS). Our server Abby was kind enough to give us some tastings of more Mother Earth brews such as Sisters of the Moon and Endless River (photo: http://bit.ly/1IDNv2H). Once we made it to the brewery itself, I was surprised that the bar had more of a rustic urban vibe that provides quite a contrast to the rest of the town (photo: http://bit.ly/1eedBiQ). The casual outdoor lounge is very inviting with red lounging chairs (photo: http://bit.ly/1GGLO7b). Y'all come now, y'hear.

It doesn't get much better than this! A hidden jewel in Kinston...gold beer, great people, fun atmosphere. Awesome tours. Don't miss it! The beer was a little more expensive than I thought it would be. $4.50 for something that is made ON SITE. I thought that was a little strange. I also think their tour should end with a tasting like most other breweries/wineries I have been to. But the beer is so good that it still gets 5 stars!

    Great patio

Mother Earth holds a special place in my heart. It's always the first and last stop on a trip to The Chef and The farmer. Normally drinks inside before dinner l and then drinks and cigars after out on the patio after dinner. Their beers are wonderful and tours of the brewery and distillery are entertaining. Ambiance inside and out is great. There is ample seating outside, but inside can be a little limited other than the bar, especially on the weekends. Bartenders are always friendly and helpful. They have a great knowledge of their beers and always offer great suggestions. Their kolch is probably one of my favorites as it's an easy beer to drink.

Ask the Community - Mother Earth Brewing

Is it family friendly at like one on a friday? Coming through on our way to the beach. Would be sitting outside if weather allows.

They are most definitely family friendly! They have games & outdoor seating.

    Do they serve wine?

    I do believe so

So there is a tap room listed, as well as a brewery. Where do you go to sample beers and for the fun outdoor areas? I assume it's the rap room, but not entirely clear?

Come to the tap room address, 127 W North St. for the bar, outdoor seating and gift shop.

My husband and I both started with Silent Night, a winter seasonal, and among the best beers we have had.

We got here a little bit before one on a Saturday and we're unsure of where to park so we parked…read moredirectly across the street at what is currently a church. The bartender informed us that that was an OK place to park. They opened right at one, and we were the first people in there. We inquired about food since we had not eaten lunch yet, but they were unable to let us know if their kitchen was going to open that day or not. They just started a food truck a few days prior, but that was not going to be there that day. We ordered flights and sat at the end of a really cool looking bar. I was really impressed with the fact that I liked three out of four of my beer choices. I got a stout, a blueberry cider, a prickly pear cider, and a pickle beer. Because of course we're in Mount Olive for the pickles! LOL. They will add a pickle per request! Also had sips of my besties Shake it off, the strawberry milkshake, IPA. I have never had an IPA that I liked before. We wanted to get some of the stout to go, but there was not any in the cooler. We asked Dominic, the bartender and he actually went out back to look for us. He was unable to find them, but had four behind the bar that he sold to us. We were able to add two of the shake it off to make a six pack. That was $16. Overall a great experience. The inside of the bar was lovely. The bartender was friendly and helpful. And best of all was the excellent beer. I wish this bar wasn't so far...I would definitely become a regular here!

Stopped by during the Pickle Festival. I really appreciate that they opened early for the festival…read more The pickle beer and pickle soda were both delicious and I would definitely recommend them! But we also got some of their other beers and were happy with them as well. The servers were very friendly and attentive, and location is great. Good stop for sure!
