I have stayed there at least four times over the last year and have generally been pleased. On the line, the rooms I have stayed in have been spacious. I like having the sink outside the bedroom. I appreciate a luggage rack, bathroom, and slippers in every room. It is excellent that they have a Roku set up with the televisions so that you can broadcast from your phone or computer. The morning breakfast has been excellent. Great selection, and attentive service. It's not perfect - I think that they need to continue updating the rooms and management should check in on the rooms once in a while. I will stay there again however! .

My king size room was clean and spacious, I appreciated having the extra floor space . . . I liked having a closet - so tired of the open hanging in so many hotels. There was no luggage rack in the closet, but there's a low table next to the desk that appears design for that purpose. There was a few odd aspects of my room - there's a nice spacious sitting area, but only one TV and it faces the bed. It would be good to have the TV pivot. More notably - it only has cable/broadcast television, but does not provide for streaming online services or mirroring of the television. For many traveler's like me, that's important. The biggest disappointment however was the lack of a fitness room. When I selected the hotel, the description claimed it has a fitness center. I was super excited to check into my room and then hop on a treadmill after a long day of driving. Turns out the fitness center is access to a gym several miles away. Needless to say I was disappointed. So mixed review - if you're looking for a clean, slightly above average place in Rapids and don't need on site fitness center, this is a good option. If you want to stream from your computer or work out without leaving the building, head on over to the Mead Inn.

Well, my experience was similar to most people's (lost reservations, maids left behind to deal with angry customers in the absence of an indifferent owner, general disillusionment, etc.) but in the end I had a positive experience. So how did that happen? Our group was able to find last-minute accommodations that night at the Hotel Mead which is also located in Wisconsin Rapids. The Mead features fabulous rooms that are reasonably priced, a pool, a full-service restaurant, two bars, and an outdoor patio serving drinks plus bar food. A live band played that night which rocked the house. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Bottom line: If it wasn't for inept owner of Maples, we would have never experienced the pleasure of The Mead and its superb staff. We stopped at the front desk and told them of our experience however se just recieved a shrug and a receipt. After we left they made extra charges to our bill because we had a our pet with us who couldnt have done what they said she did. Check your bank statements because that's the only way you will know for sure what the charge. This hotel sucks in all ways. The beds are as hard as a rock and I am still sore several days later. They do not care if people allow their pets to roam the hallways and grounds unleashed and do nothing about disruptive guests. There is a minimum amount of cleanliness and upkeep.

I will add pictures , broken lamp, spots on bed , iron and blow dryer undone like someone just used them & toilet paper was almost empty! The side door had a wasp colony near it and immediately smelled like piss in the hallway. Getting in the room it had a weird smell. The mirror was cracked, the lighting above the mirror was a pull string and a lightbulb was missing, the threshold for the bathroom was broken, the toilet had stains in it, the chair had stains on it, the lamp shade was stained, the fake wood flooring was separating all over and bubbling underneath, and I could go on. The next morning a man walked in on my wife and daughter while I was out. Un-freaking-believeable. NEVER going back!!!!!!
