Room was very small, 2 beds, clean, pet room, help was rude, young woman said I didn't have to be rude, I was just trying to figure out if I misunderstood them! I was extremely tired and frazzled. Next day, got to office with husband ask if we could take the little chair by the coffee, he says yes, kim(owner) comes in maybe 1/2 hr later tells my husband to get up takes the chair, tells him to get out!! I go and explain we asked to take chair and he owes my husband an apology, kim says No! Very rude in office. If you need to stay and sleep, it would be doable. The cons to this place is no shampoo, the security lights outside shine through the windows and you only get one electrical outlet in the room that is not close to your bed. The staff was very friendly, but the rooms were a biohazard. The first room they gave me had what appeared to be blood on the bedspread. I lifted the mattress and looked underneath, it had a big pool of blood, looked like a crime scene....I went back and asked for another room, both beds had urine stains on the mattresses. No-nonsense motel! Affordable price, safe parking lot, room was fresh, clean and bathroom was spotless! The front desk attendant, Genaro, was warm, friendly, and accommodating. He made sure our stay was wonderful with his A+ customer service. I see a handful of complaints about "no shampoo etc." Y'all need to get some class and a personal self care preference of shampoo and soap. With the 2 beds and the kids and all their stuff their was plenty of room. Also the pool was great, kids loved it. Manager Kim is a horrible manager. I checked out and went in to let him know that the shower is spraying way to hard and it actually pushed out the shower curtain and got water everywhere. He told me I was an idiot that didn't know how to use a shower curtain, when I explained that I did pull it all the way around and it was still spraying it out of the shower. No shampoo, no conditioner, no lotion, no do not disturb sign to put on the door, no breakfast or snacks to start your day and no remote to watch TV. House keeper knocked on our door at 8am on a Sunday morning. Hotel is seedy. There's signs everywhere saying lock your doors not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property or vehicles. Another sign inside that says for your own safety lock deadbolt and door latch. The lovely sounds of the freeway, car doors, car horns come right in these very lightly insulated walls. Cons: Small room, small beds, small shower, marginal air conditioning We knew this wouldn't be the Ritz, but I'd stay there again if it weren't for 2 things: pool was closed, the main reason we stayed, and the beds, which are double beds pushed up against the walls so very hard for 2 adult sized humans to fit. My 10 year old took up most of his bed, I had to smush against the wall sharing the other bed with my spouse (admitttedly a bed hog). Rooms were clean amd decent, though. We were in first floor and temps were only in 80s and a/c couldn't keep up until night. Definitely wouldn't want to be upstairs in more heat! read more

This hotel is just fine. I spent $50.00 for one night. It's the smallest hotel room I've ever seen. Both beds were placed against opposite walls, and there was about 4 feet in between them. The shower was also quite small, i could barely fit inside it. The room was small, but provided everything I needed. Which was basically a place to sleep and clean myself. I was all set to get out the computer and give it 5 stars, maybe better, for the price, and the wifi was slow. Clearly a bargain, at a bargain. I'd stay here every time, if I were in Wendover often. I was driving through Nevada and needed a place to stop over for the night. It was the cheapest place I could find for $45. All I needed was a bed and a bathroom. The clerk was very friendly, when I arrived at 11pm. He checked me in and I was in my room within 5 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean all around. Mattress were very old and worn out. I slept only for a bit and woke up very sore. Room stank and was full of flies. Ac barely worked. Motel 6 likes to claim they are pet friendly but I definitely wouldn't say that. They give you nastiest rooms if you have a pet. We tried to switch rooms and just got moved two doors down to another nasty pet room. I've stayed at other Motel 6's that were alright but this was was awful. read more

Where do I start? First thing you see, is nothing special. I was okay with that as I have stayed at many Motel 6's and the rooms were always clean, well furnished and customer friendly. All I can say is was clean. Props to housekeeping for that. That's where I end the compliments. I walked into a barren nightmare. First, two of the three lights in main room, were out. Second, room was so small that the beds were pushed all the way against the wall, which made it so somebody either had to crawl over somebody to get out, or crawl down to bottom to get out. The room was tiny, even though we asked and needed a handicap accessible room. The shower was tiny, and it wasn't roll in, which means a wheelchair could not get into it. There were four outlets in the room, two were used by microwave and tiny refrigerator. We needed two for breathing devices, which meant if we wanted to charge our phones, it had to be done in the bathroom. There were 0 USB Outlets in the room. Next came the beds. To say they were sub par,would be giving them a compliment. These beds were ancient with springs popping up all over them. The pillows were flat and offered no support and you couldn't double up as there were only four in the room. Two for each bed. Two would be great if they offered support, but I swear these were five dollar pillows from Walmart. Good for a night or two, but these pillows had seen many nights. They were flat with maybe a 1.5 inch loft. Finally, we come to the air conditioning. There was none. This is Utah, nearly May, and no AC. We called the night manager to see if our AC was broken, as it only out out heat, and we were informed they haven't turned the AC on. It was too expensive to run this time of year (April 26). There was a person in our party that could have used AC as they had severe asthma, but we were just told no AC. So our stay at this hotel was hot, uncomfortable, and much to expensive for what we received. read more

It's a budget motel so I don't expect much - however, I do expect a room with adequate ventilation. The day we arrived had been hot and when we arrived our 2nd floor room was over 90 degrees. We were informed that the air conditioning was not working throughout the building. It was evening so we thought we could open the door and window to get some cooler air circulating... unfortunately some other motel guests were sitting outside their room smoking some stinky weed and we really didn't want that smell throughout our room. There was a lot of activity all through the night - people coming, people going, drunk people making noise in the parking lot. If we had an air conditioner and the room wasn't 90 degrees we probably wouldn't have noticed everything else... but alas, no AC. On a positive note - the reason for 2 stars instead of 1 - the beds were actually better than I expected. Too bad it was simply too hot to sleep. After a night of no sleep we left at 5 am and couldn't have been happier to get out. read more

You would have to be blind to miss West Wendover! It's the last stop in NV before hitting Utah so this place has casinos which resemble palaces and remind you of the Vegas strip. We passed all the glitz for the Motel 6. I know they take pets and it was time for the two cats to roam free. Two people, two beds, two cats, $37 (rounded up after tax). You've gotta be kidding me but nope, that is what was charged on my credit card. We had crossed over to Mountain Time so our 9:30 pm was their 10:30 pm and I had to ask about food. The desk clerk sent us next door to the "99c Ice Cream" store in a gas station for Mexican food. The room was clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. There was only a shower, no bathtub but who takes a bath in a hotel room? We got up after a good night's sleep and hit the road bright and early in the morning! 99c Ice Cream Don't let the name fool you, this ice cream store connected to a gas station serves up delicious Mexican food. The lady behind the counter took our order, 3 tacos for me at $1.25/each (Mexican style as opposed to the American style with lettuce, tomato and cheese offered) and a burrito for my dad. She made everything fresh on the grill behind the register, and served it up to us in less than 10 minutes. The food was amazing!! My tacos rivaled my favorite restaurant in Hayward, CA. My dad's burrito was the best he ever had. Skip all of the glitter and lights. Skip the big sit down restaurants and take yourself to 99c Ice Cream for an authentic Mexican meal. read more

Sure it is...and that was the case for the second stop on my road trip and the second motel 6, but what was unique about this one compared to the one in Cheyenne (and I didn't review that one...) was after we checked in....the front desk called about 30 minutes later and asked if the room meet our expectations and could they do anything for us? I had to pinch myself to make sure I was staying in a Motel 6. We said everything was fine and they then proceeded over the phone to ask if we were looking for suggestions for eating and drinking this evening....we did...they made some recommendations.....and again....I pinched myself. These folks really made this cheap hotel just a little better experience for me. Hats off to them. read more

I've stayed in a lot of low budget hotels in my day, and this is definitely ranked along with the worst. We needed a clean, cheap room on our way home from Denver, CO. And, we checked yelp and ended up here. The staff was friendly and the room was mostly clean, I will give them a star for that. But, I didn't feel comfortable walking on the carpet without shoes, or sleeping in the bed. Everything in the room looked like a bad movie from the 70's. And, it reeked of smoke, even though it was a so-called "non-smoking" room. The worst of it is, no hot water at 7:00am the next morning! Honestly for a cheap motel, this was great! I'm 8 months pregnant and was worried about bed. I brought my own pillows, and slept fine! Decent room & bathroom though. Would stay again! Yelp really needs a NO STAR option. DISGUSTING! The thin thread bare filthy worn stained sheets, over ancient wallowed out dip in the middle thin mattresses. Filthy damp in spots, carpet with dead cockroach carcass, paperclip with some sort of black substance on it on carpet, pretty sure that is a dried booger on the wall by the bed. Pillow and sheets had what I am nearly positive was dried blood on them. Greasy bathroom floor, as if cleaned with a dirty mop. Nasty, disgusting, horror film looking room. We expected to be under surveillance and murdered in our rooms with axes!!! We left within minutes of checking in. If you absolutely have to sleep in Wendover, Utah I recommend the Best Western. We had a very pleasant stay there and it was very clean. The rooms are new and updated. Motel 6 did refund our money after viewing our photos. read more

RUN - DO NOT WALK - away from the wretched motel. The first room to which I was assigned had a toilet which overflowed and would not flush. No maintenance man - or plunger - on the property. The second room - as well as the first - had a WIFI which was non-functional, even with the correct password. It was SO UNGODLY SLOW that it wasn't worth using. For the piece de resistance, the television froze up and the picture left the screen every five seconds. I will NEVER stay at a Motel Six - ever again. Wendover, UT has many other options. Perfectly acceptable for a cheap 2-star motel. Nothing great about the place except it's relatively clean and affordable. Plus it's close to the casinos. Lots of parking available. Awful. Beds are hard, woke up wth my back hurting worse than the day before after driving all day. No carpeting in the rooms means every little noise from adjoining rooms is amplified 4X. Room next door closed their door and it made the bed shake like in an earthquake. Wall trim and drywall falling apart, held in place with masking tape. Old 19" tube tv's with only a dozen or so channels, HBO but no regular networks? Really? Box springs are badly strained and falling apart. Wi-Fi connected but had no internet access. Only paid $50 for one night but even that was 5X more than it's worth. Save your time (and back), spend a few dollars more for far fewer regrets. I wish I had. Could not leave fast enough.
