The check in staff was pleasant. Walking up the stairs to our 235 room was a little shaky, the stairs need some work. The room itself had a comfy bed surprisingly with comfy pillows. The tv is small, but had lots of stations. The bathroom definitely needs updating , you have a fridge, a microwave, and a small one cup coffee maker. I reserved a room for six nights at Quality Inn Stateline for my employee. The conditions of the hotel were so poor that he checked out after 3 days. (smell of cat urine or spray in the lobby near the breakfast area, poor breakfast, rude clerk, etc.) I went to the hotel to retrieve my invoice, and the clerk said he did not see that my employee had checked out, so he checked out my employee after 4 days. The lack of attention to detail is clearly a problem at this location. In addition, even though I prepaid for the room, the clerk was extremely rude to my employee at check-in, demanding that he provide a credit card. The hotel already had my card on file. I was charged for the full six nights for the room; however, since my employee checked out after only three days, I should not have been charged for the full amount. The hotel provided an invoice which also included an "Early departure surcharge." I have personally never paid a "surcharge" at a hotel for checking out early, plus the purchase shows a "Stay Protection Plan" insurance was included. I should be entitled to a refund not only because my employee stayed at this property for only three days, but also for the deplorable condition of the hotel. In addition, this "hotel" does not have access to rooms from the inside, but rather from the outside, as in a motel. In summation, this experience has been one of the worst. read more

Stayed here with my parents for one night. Picked this hotel based on reviews from the choice hotels app (which rates it much higher) and in need of a place to stay overnight on the way home from being on the road 4 weeks. Check in was fine, no problems getting our room or parking a trailer in the back. Room is good in size and had a refrigerator and microwave. Sheets were clean. The AC was also on full blast which was good after a long hot day and coming from the salt flats. Then it goes downhill. First we were so thirsty and the lobby has no water available for guests. The staff on duty was kind to find us ONE bottle of water for 3 guests. Shower curtain is disgusting. Extremely moldy. Bathroom lighting dim. Light switch panel has a switch removed. Sloppy paint job everywhere and overall unappealing. Patio door was missing outside handle and only screws sticking out. For breakfast there is no condiments (butter, peanut butter, jam) or bread/toast, no protein (hard boiled egg, cheese stick, sausage) and no plastic knives. Initially there was no coffee creamer and and empty fruit bowel, eventually they brought that out. Still no water...had to ask for water and got a comment back about people taking more then one. Last, NO TRASH CANS OUTSIDE. Wanted to throw out trash from the car and couldn't find a trash can in the lobby, front of hotel, or side parking area. Even more gross we cleaned up our dog poop and noticed that it is scattered on the lawn every because there is NO trash to be found. Will not stay here again. Only gets 2 stars because it was cheap and beds were clean. read more

If I could rate lower than 1 would. I have never made a blind reservation before but, we are traveling with no firm itinerary. We are also traveling with our small dog. I'm grateful this was pet friendly. Because it's pet friendly they relegate you to specific rooms. I also understand this. However, WHAT A DUMP! AC doesn't work, the wallpaper in the bathroom is falling down, the ceiling in the bathroom is coming apart, a hole around the shower head as the plate is missing. WoW, to be honest, I said F word first, I said what the fking hell. But you should understand a man driven for 10 hrs and just wanna a good sleep, because he had to drive another 10 hrs after a good sleep. After reviewing all the latest reviews, we were not expecting 5 stars and chose to see the room before actually checking in. Upon arrival the front desk clerk seemed to be dressed in clothes he has worn for 3 days along with an unshaven appearance. He did show us the room and I found it acceptable, my husband did not, but decided to let me make the call on rather or not we stay. We stayed. After check in, we noticed a cigarette burn all the way through the bedspread on his bed. When he pulled the covers back, a black bug about ¼" long crawled out from behind his pillow. Later, while in the bathroom, he noticed another bug crawling along the floor. When I was in the bathroom, I noticed a third bug crawling on the floor. When he was in the shower, a smaller bug, about " long crawled onto his shorts. When I pulled my covers back, I noticed a cigarette burn through one of my sheets. I didn't sleep well that night because I kept expecting a bug to crawl across me while I slept. If I could give this motel less than a zero star, I would. Avoid it at all cost. read more

This is an old property and I give the owners credit for trying to improve its condition. My room was clean and the bed comfortable. But the bathroom sink faucet was old and splashed water everywhere and there was no sink stopper. The entire bath area had low ceilings, partly consisting of ceiling tile in rough shape. Lighting was dim in the shower area. The shower was huge but well past it's prime. There was a two-gang switch plate with a hole where one switch was removed, a safety hazard. The HVAC had a mind of its own and apparently decided I wanted a very warm room. Only I sleep in a cool bedroom. Between the warm room, a pair of feral cats feuding outside my door and some noisy foot traffic, I didn't sleep much. Overall, this is a rather depressing hotel and I don't need to stay again especially at the high price. read more

There's nothing "Quality" about this Inn, just GROSS! As a last resort, I suppose this is better than sleeping in your car, but not by much. I've spent a considerable amount of time in hotels, including several Quality Inns. This one was literally the worst motel I've experienced so far this year, and it's June! Today we got two rooms while driving through Wendover Utah, one for ourselves and another for our daughter. What a waste of money. First of all: My room looked as though someone had taken a nap on the bed before we checked in, leaving the bed mused. The walls were covered in scuff marks, patched holes, divots and water damage stains. Second: The cleanliness was completely absent everywhere. Not only was the disrepair apparent in every corner of my room but the filth was extremely discouraging. The sink had black hairs in it and the bathtub had a filth ring that made my skin crawl. And by the way, I was afraid to take my shoes off, the floors were absolutely despicable. Third, but not least: Dogs barking all night, ķids running up and down the halls screaming. The hallways, parking area and grounds were dark, unclean and frightening. Homeless people came right into the halls and approached us, begging for money. When we went to the front desk to complain, were told that all the rooms were about the same and that we're lucky that we got a 'good' room. I can not, in all good conscience, recommend staying at this disgusting motel. With dozens of places elsewhere to stay right here, make the choice to go somewhere clean, secure and safe. You'll be grateful you did. read more

Just plain CROOKS. I reserved a room back in January, 2019, for a stay in September. Due to health issues, I had to cancel my reservation on 8-11-2019. The front desk guy was rude and arrogant, said he couldn't do anything, I would have to talk to the manager. After 4 or 5 calls, and the manager "not being in" the front desk guy made a mistake and got me through to the manager, who said he would refund the money...and they have not, and I can't get back to the manager, as he is never "in". I have contacted the parent Company, Choice Hotels, and apparently they can't get through to the manager, either. I have had to file a dispute with my credit card company, Quality Inn, Stateline, Wendover, NV, you have lost a long-time customer (10+ years) and remember, you started this.... read more

Check in was very slow even though a reservation had already been made. The free breakfast is a banana and yogurt. The pool is nice, but empty in March when we stayed there. The room was below average with a plug plate cover missing off the wall and other defects throughout the room. We returned the next week, but chose to stay in a different hotel (Knights Inn). Was a bit disappointed at their outdated furniture but the room was acceptably clean. The bathtub was really big and that was probably the best thing. I spent 1 night there for business..and there was something going on in the area called "Speed Week", so there were alot of guests at the hotel. The outside of the building looks like a large apartment complex. When you enter the lobby it looks nice along with the breakfast area. BUT go beyond the lobby and you will find the courtyard with a pool, It looked all like a apartment complex pool area..NOT a hotel pool area. People all hanging out in the courtyard all loud..and its not even "fun loud"..its like "I'm yelling for someone across the courtyard" loud. Also....BE AWARE that this hotel DOES NOT have a microwave or fridge in their rooms...what hotel doesn't have microwaves or fridges in their rooms? Only ghetto hotels where people steal the microwaves and fridges probably. Thing is I paid $103 for a room here. Prices are most likely high and they keep their hotel dirty because they know Wendover is in the middle of nowhere, and you don't have a choice. Holy hell! I stayed here for 1.5 hours and was told by the owner to leave or he would call the cops. Why? Was I drunk and loud? No. I actually don't drink. The reason I was kicked out was because my room was dirty and had to clean it myself. Pandemic is real and I'm not comfortable if all the door knobs and light switches are filthy. After trying to reason with a maid who said I should ask the front desk( always a long line) she had her twelve year old son who was working with her try to translate. I had been riding my motorcycle across the 100 degree desert and now I'm arguing with a 12 year old about my dirty room? I was just done so I grabbed the cleaner and a rag. When I was done I returned the cleaner to front desk and the desk guy said he would give us a discount . Yes I was impatient with the maid, but to be kicked out???? We had to re-load our bikes and ride to motel 6. Much better. The quality inn had broken pool, broken door handle, hair in the sheets??? And a sink that wouldn't drain. Maids don't wear masks. Price was reasonable compared to what I paid in other hotels (about a 30% savings) and this was with a bike racing event and bbq competition going on. Whenever there is an event at the Salt Flats, rooms in Wendover fill up pretty fast and the casino hotels gouge their customers. I decided to try an independent hotel and chose this one for four nights. This place is pretty dumpy and in need of major attention. I don't mind when a hotel is old and has outdated furniture, sheets, towels, but keep it clean! The floor has dirty nastiness all over it that could easily be picked up with a vacuum if there were some attention to detail by the cleaning staff. There was hair everywhere in the bathroom, the smoke alarm was dangling from the ceiling by bare wires. All the wall plugs were loose and looked like a fire hazard. The room above mine was leaking water onto my bathroom ceiling and the tiles were wet. Then there were the bugs! Ants on the walls, some large black weevil looking bugs crawling the walls. I didn't find any bedbugs, but I'm surprised. The grounds were in poor shape with trash, pizza boxes, and beer cans scattered about. The things you could see made you wonder about the things you couldn't see. I imagined bedbugs during my whole stay and left most of my belongings in my truck so I wouldn't get bugs in my luggage. The dirtiness of the place made me second-guess the breakfast area and I was very cautious of what I ate. There is no attention to detail by any of the staff or management of this place. When I parked my car and started walking to the lobby to check in, a kid on an ATV came flying through the parking lot at high speed. I literally had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit by him. After checking in, I returned to my car and began backing out of my parking space. The same kid was still racing through the parking lot on his ATV and I had to slam on the brakes to avoid him. I returned to the lobby to report this dangerous situation. The clerk at the front desk informed me that I would have to speak to the manager about this, as the kid on the ATV was the manager's son. After I waited for about ten minutes, the manager, Jaime, finally appeared and I calmly explained the situation to him. I expected him to offer an apology for his son's behavior and perhaps thank me for bringing this matter to his attention. Instead he said to me, in an extremely rude tone, "If you don't want to stay here, you can leave." I have never in my life felt so unwelcome at a motel. And I can state with certainty that Jaime is the rudest person I have ever met. I sent an email message to the general manager of this property, but have not received the courtesy of a response. Apparently rudeness and indifference are characteristics of the entire management team at this property. Don't stay here. Any other place in town would be an enormous improvement. Management here is beyond awful, and the quality of the motel falls far short of the standards that I've come to expect from Quality Inn. read more

I would give negative stars if possible. I am a member of a reward club and recieved a free night. I got what I paid for. At 10 pm the casinos were sold out, so leaving was a poor option.The next available hotel was 90 miles away. Pictures speak louder than words. The sheets had holes, the walls had holes, the electric outlets had holes in the wall with wires leading to who knows where, for who knows what. I was so upset and Mr Trujillo would not refund me my points. My reward profile is a king bed, I'm entitled to an upgrade; I was down graded to a queen bed.I had been there 10 minutes when I discovered the torn sheets and electrical issues. Truly I wish I could post pictures as one picture is worth a thousand words. I do have photos I'm sure the fire marshal would be interested in. DISGUSTING. DIRTY. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WISH NEGATIVE STARS WAS AN OPTION. We stayed here on a long road trip, and chose it simply because it was on the route. We had two rooms with a group of five, including an infant. My room seemed ok, but after the heat never came on, we called the front desk. The best they could do was give us a couple extra blankets. We had checked in at 1 am and had a long drive ahead of us the next day so we just bundled up and dealt with it. Remember, we had an infant and it was February. After I saw my fathers room the next morning, mine seemed like a luxury. The outlets were loose and didn't work, the smoke detectors were MIA, the coffeemaker was disgusting, and to top it all off, my little sister had to shower by the light of her iPhone flashlight because there was no electricity in the bathroom!!!! The breakfast made me nauseous (think ice cold crockpot gravy), cat or dog poop in the hall outside our door, the pool was frozen mid-February with dirty towels frozen in it, doors propped open with towels, and vagrants sleeping in the halls with garbage everywhere. When we left, I told the manager, and he did nothing, except mock me and say I didn't know how to work a heater when he thought I was out of earshot. I let him know I most certainly knew the heater should be on the red area, not blue, as well as turned on. He made no attempt to rectify anything, but my situation and long drive ahead (plus the 1200 miles we had just driven) made the fight not worth it. A business owner that does nothing to want to have return guests or fix clear, disgusting problems should not be allowed to continue to operate. Oh yeah, I had to ask for my credit card and ID back after completing checking in, followed by the check-in person shuffling papers and acting like they didn't know where it went. read more

The place was ok. I stayed in room 104 from 8/27-8/30/2018. One thing I noticed right off the bat that I did not like was that the room door seemed to not have a seal around the door so I could hear almost everything outside. Thankfully I had a big heavy 30-something pack of water that I placed by the door to keep it somewhat sealed and shut like it's supposed to. The A/C worked like it was supposed to. I did have a fridge and microwave in my room which was nice. One of the power outlets right by the A/C had like virtually no tension to it and made it difficult to keep anything plugged into it. Same goes for another outlet on the opposite side of the bed. Bed was comfortable, but the sheets had a hard time staying on..wrong size? Shower is certainly dated and I think I saw some mold of some kind in a lower corner of the shower? Um, pool was freezing (didn't like that at all) but the hot tub was nice despite the dated pump system over by the timer dial. The place wasn't as much under construction (like some people stated) thankfully. I got a weird vibe or feeling from the day front desk guy...don't know why. He had a decently think European accent?....Maybe? I don't know.. My room looked totally clean upon check in, but after plugging in my surge protector/power strip into the wall by the desk, there were some noticeable bugs on the carpet in the corner! Eww! One day when me and my gf were there, someone with the cleaning crew was pressure washing the sidewalk outside of the door. Very loud indeed since it was a gas powered pressure washer. Worst part was when he came down close to our room, he left the pressure washer kind of close to the door and wasn't pleased because of not only the noise but since the door has virtually no seal around it, some of the exhaust was pouring into our room! Thank god we had a air purifier machine and placed it by the door. Went out to complain to the guy and "Oh shit man I'm sorry. I just need to do this real quick before I go home".....a good start would be to REPLACE THE DOOR SEAL COMPLETELY!! Like I said about the front desk guy and like "Fan. O." said about him, he's certainly rude and made sure I had very minimal contact and interaction with him. My and my gf got locked out of our room because we left out keys in by accident, went to the creepy/old/rude desk guy to get a replacement key...well, he replaced one but canceled the other two we had!..WTF is that? Anyways, breakfast was good and me & my gf got the rest we needed. I'd give it half a star, but the was my first time in the Wendover area and I enjoyed the cheap normal strength alcohol along with the casino life & history there was there. I may or may not stay here again. Completely up in the air. I think I'll try to book at either Best Western or one of the casinos. read more

It's sad when the highlight of your stay is the hot shower. Our door almost didn't work, and you could tell from the noise that most of the other doors were issues as well. Outlets were questionably loose, we stuck with using the one on the lamp - but the lamp was plugged in to a wall switch controlled outlet, so I unscrewed the lightbulb to be able to continue using the outlets overnight. It was dark, but generally clean (we inspected the mattress, no bugs - and no visible mold in the bathroom, so that was good). It was generally in poor condition. But, not wanting to shell out $100+ for a casino room, it was one of 3 remaining options... We skipped the breakfast. Wifi was weak and slow, but free. read more

Passing by on way home. I have stayed at other quality inn's and had a great experience. Paid for room with great expectations but I noticed doors were propped open with towels? I walked into our room and noticed a strong odor of uncleanliness and dead moth on carpet. I pulled sheet off bed and noticed a bug on sheet I killed it and a small squirt of blood appeared on the sheet I moved mattress away from wall seen a bug walking we then decided we were not going to stay at this hotel I went to the front desk advised lady then manager on duty Jaime I believe last name was Trujillo he asked her for the key she was going to refund our money he then said the room was destroyed and he was charging us for the room we told him we just got the room and the reason why he then said something about bedbugs I told him there was bugs he said they were moths I didn't want to argue with him do not stay at this hotel they are a rip off I told I was going to dispute the charge he said for us to leave and since he was charging credit card we can stay which we did not.
