DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE, IT IS INFESTED WITH MICE!!! I did not realize this right away. There was something on the floor all around the base boards which I know now to have been the mouse chewing on the base boards and a little bit of droppings. We stayed there from Friday to Sunday, and the first night there was no activity, as far as I know. The second night was a different story. One mouse came out and was running around all night, I didn't get any sleep. When we stay at hotels we usually ask for a late check out, this was no exception, noon. But the g/f woke up at about 7am and asked me why I was acting so weird... I didn't want to tell her but finely I did and she was done with sleeping and done with the room. We were packed up and out before 8am. I work 2nd shift so I can't tell you the last time I was out of bed before 8am. When we told the manager, Lilly, "You have mice, I want a refund" she feigned surprise at the idea there were mice in her motel 6 and then immediately told me that "everybody has mice, they come in from the field, they get in under the a/c unit, kind of like spiders." *I called the motel 6 customer line, the agent was trying to note down what I was saying, it was at this point she laughed so hard she needed a moment and then for me to repeat it a couple of times to get it all down*. So do you NOT have mice or does EVERYBODY have them, which is it? How can you not know you have mice? The cleaning staff should be bringing this to your attention immediately. To me that's her saying, yeah I know, I don't care, go away. So I have spent some time is some pretty bad hotels/motels and I've stayed in a lot of motel 6s, none of them had mice. Ironically the room we were in didn't actually have any spiders so take that for what you will. She refuses to give me a refund. She told us because we didn't bring up right away that's why she can't refund. She treated us as if it was our fault that we needed sleep and there was mice in her hotel. Besides what would have happened if I went and complained? They said they would have given us a different room, but what good would that do? If I were to tell my g/f at 2am "hey were changing rooms there's a mouse in this one" yeah she'd be done sleeping. Not to mention the fact that if you see one mouse there's dozens that you don't see so we would probably have gotten a room that had more mice in it. You may be wondering at this point "why did you stay there?" I had assumed that they knew about the issue, had traps or poison down and that it was dealt with. My girlfriend was already asleep by the time I saw it and one of us needed to get some sleep that night, the next day was going to be quite busy. I spent the whole night watching tv and trying to keep the mouse away from our stuff. I called Hotels.com, all they could do is call the property, she refuses to give me a refund. I called Motel 6 customer line, they called the property and she refuses to give me a refund. They sent in "a ticket" and I need to wait 5 days for a call back to see if I get a refund or not. If I don't, the next call is to the Shelby county health department. I just wish there was a way to get way more people to call up the Motel 6 in Sidney Oh and have them ask the manager Lilly to get me a refund read more
