This stay added 20 minutes to our return trip, but was worth every second of extra driving. Room 201 was spacious, well-laid out, with a walk-in shower (no tub). Sink outside of bathroom so one could use toilet/shower while another used sink. Easily navigable. Clean and comfy. The balcony was perfect. Two chairs and nothing but a quiet street and a sidewalk between you and the lake. Also, a cool little jetty you can walk on just down the street a bit. Close to downtown Celina, close enough to hear live music coming across the water and just a couple minutes to some good food and drink options. Pricier than other hotels, and no continental breakfast, but a great place to stay and some nice breakfast places close by. Worth a return visit.

Just bear in mind if you want more coffee pods or towels the office is 9 to 5. We just stocked up the first day. A nice grocery store is about one mile away so you can get your eggs and et cetera. So nice to cook breakfast on a sunny summer morning. The rear doors open to a little patio with chairs and table, right by the fishpond. Unfortunately there is not a screen door so if you want the nice breeze coming in, the bugs will come too. There is no awning so if it's raining and you want a smoke you need an umbrella. Very clean, notably the flooring and the carpet which feels great to walk on with bare feet. Plenty of electric outlets, but no charger ports, so plan accordingly. They have have this crazy "Xumo TV" with streaming services galore and it also picks up broadcast/antenna channels, but no cable. The rooms have comfortable furnishings and beautiful large photo prints of nature and the lake area. Full size dressers and big closets. Washer and dryer with provided detergent. The bathtub has one side grab bar for in and out. It's just one step up to enter front door but it is a small step (in atea) so a wee bit precarious. Surprised there is not a small rail. I believe there's at least one unit with no steps, for accessibility.

I'd heard the villas were really nice, but didn't know they were exceptionally furnished and comfortable down to the smallest details of dish soap, shampoo, etc. They were kind enough to give us an extra half day for packing all the baby necessities after his nap before getting back on the road. We'll be staying here again. Great people, great staff. All you have to do is ask, and they are willing to make your stay perfect. Highly recommend. A++++++++++++

The reception area was clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the King suite with balcony overlooking their pool. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. They give you the basic toiletries. Hot shower and giant TV that can be swiveled. The pool closes at 10 so it's quiet after it closes. We used the pool and were the only ones in it. No restaurant or lounge but there are local restaurants nearby. It appears this is a family owed and run hotel. We would stay again.

Dinner hadn't quite started yet so we ordered food from a limited lunch menu and made friends with the bar patrons. After all, it's still a small town and everyone around is incredibly friendly. Unfortunately, due to my overly enthusiastic cocktail buffet, I didn't make it to dinner. Luckily, I had a gorgeous room to stumble back to, and when I woke up, the minibar snacks and drinks truly saved my night. I absolutely think you get great value for the price of a stay here. It's a King Suite and has plenty of space. There is a sitting area, large desk, super comfortable bed, dinette for two, refrigerator, microwave and bar sink. The bathroom is large and well equipped with amenities. I appreciate that there is good lighting as I will be working here in the evenings. There were fresh cookies and lemonade when I arrived at 11:30 pm, which was definitely unexpected. I stay at many hotels that offer fresh cookies but usually if you aren't there by 5 pm you miss them. It is very quiet here as well. One of the nicer HIEs that I have stayed in. Definitely recommend this place if you are traveling through Portland, Indiana.

I was being recruited for a position in a company in the area and I was interviewing/checking out the company/checking out the area. I stayed in a room with a king sized bed. I ultimately took the job. I had to immediately book the hotel again. I therefore stayed here again from Jan 10 2020 for over a month while waiting to first get possession of the home I bought and during the time my floors were getting redone. Stayed in a suite, with two queen beds and a living rook that had a fold out sofa bed. Hard living with two other people in such a small enclosed space. The hotel does offer suites with kitchen, alas they are few and hard to come by. I spent the time in one without one and had to eat out all the time. My stats were pleasant, considering all the above. The hotel breakfast room is large and comfortable. The hotel has an indoor heated pool which is a big plus! The staff also is the friendliest hotel staff I have ever dealt with. I would talk to them all the time. We would ask how we were all doing, where we were in our move. These are genuinely warm people and the best part of staying at this hotel. There are some weaknesses. The breakfast is unappetizing, and I usually avoided it.. even though it was included in my stay. It didn't taste bad... just didn't have taste... it was bland. The coffee is weak. The suites can also definitely be a little larger and they need updating. Some of the furniture seems to have seen much better days. Still, I did enjoy my stay here and was thankful that I was able to find a hotel for such a long stay in such short notice.

While I'm absolutely positive the reason for this horrendous room will inevitably be blamed on Covid, it strikes me as odd that I should be charged full price for their lack of staff or care. If you can, roll on to the next town for a place to sleep.
