We stayed overnight at the Courtyard by Marriott Lima the end of June. We had an Airbnb in the area but it wasn't ready until the next day so stayed at the Marriott for one night. The check in process went well. We checked in Sunday with a late check out for Monday 2 pm. The front desk staffer actually asked if we would like a late check out. Since I was working remotely, a late check out was perfect for us! The first issue was we had just driven a long way from Orlando and my key was not activated/wasn't working properly. After driving 20 hours with two toddlers, we just wanted to get into our room. Our room didn't have enough towel sets for 4 people but the front desk staffer brought some up for us right away, which was really appreciated. The room was very spacious, clean and the bathroom had a bathtub which was perfect for my kids. The reason I am leaving a two star review is what happened the day on check out day. The front desk staffer had suggested a 2 pm check out and I said that would be perfect and I saw him jot it down on a clipboard. I only had one meeting that day for work. I forgot to place the "do not disturb" sign on the door. Late check out was at 2 pm, regular check out at 12 pm. I was on a very important meeting at 11 am and had the door bolted. During the meeting someone was trying to come into our room and had swiped a keycard. They started screaming and I had to excuse myself from the meeting and place them on mute. I unbolt the door and open it and it was housekeeping trying to turn our room over before even the 12 pm regular check out. I let the housekeeper know we had confirmed a late check out with the front desk last night. She copped an attitude and said it wasn't written down. I ended the conversation and said I was working and had a call to get back to. I did communicate this to the front desk staffer letting know this was a very important call when checking out. They just apologized. I did ask they refund me for the high speed internet, which they did. I find it odd I had to ask with how inappropriate the housekeeper acted, screaming and yelling loud enough the other person on my zoom call heard it and wondered if I was okay. While they did refund me, I did want to say something for others that are traveling and working remotely to be careful. I still can't believe it happened with how much Marriott advertises coming to their hotel for a change of scenery to work remotely. read more

Not only is the hotel clean and well run, the staff are courteous and helpful. We were charging our EV 2.5 miles a way and had no ride (long story about the lack of Uber, Lyft or cabs in this town). The hotel allowed their Maintenace Manager give me a ride to my car. He was so nice about it and wouldn't take any money for his time or gas. Stayed here for three nights on a business trip and overall was quite happy with my stay here. Both the front desk staff as well as in the restaurant were friendly and provided great service. My room was bigger than other Courtyard's I've stayed in and consisted of a king sized bed. The bed was comfortable, but I always wonder why they hotels don't provide bigger pillows on the king sized beds! There was a nightstand on each side of the bed with one additional outlet on each lamp above the nightstand. I prefer rooms that provide two outlets at each nightstand, but I was happy there was at least one. There is a small sitting area and work area. The work area provided ample outlets and lighting. My only real complaint here was that it was right next to the HVAC unit so it blew cold air on me constantly. I just ended up turning the temp up while I was working, but then the room got a bit warm. The HDTV could easily be turned so that you could watch TV while you worked. Free WiFi was provided and speeds were adequate enough to check emails and surf the web, but streaming shows to an iPad or something didn't work all that well. There was a small coffee station area and below that a mini-fridge. My coworkers room also had a microwave, but mine did not. There is a small 3-drawer dresser and a free-standing closet that also included some shelves. As for the bathroom, this had one of the nicest bathrooms I've seen in a Courtyard. The sink, toilet, and shower is all in one room, but the shower (no tub) could easily fit a couple of people (not that I officially tested that or anything)! On the one end of the shower is a large built-in seat/shelf. The sink had plenty of counter space to put out your toiletry items. As for additional services, there is a restaurant in the lobby that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with a small Starbucks. There is an indoor pool along with a fitness center, which are open from 6am to 11pm. I was disappointed that the fitness center was not open 24 hours as there were times when I wanted to work out around 5am. I tried getting in, but the door will not unlock until 6am. As for the fitness center itself, it's pretty small offering two treadmills, one elliptical, and some free weights with a bench. Towels, water, and sanitary wipes were available along with headphones, but not sure I would want to use community headphones. TVs are attached to the machines and they generally worked fine. I often used the water cooler in the fitness center to fill my water bottle before heading out for the day. Out back there is a nice little pond with a waterfall with tables and chairs where you can sit out and relax if you'd like. The weather was great the week I was in town, so I liked to sit out there in the evenings and early morning with my iPad and catch up on the news. There are several restaurants within walking distance like Cracker Barrel, Olive Garden, and Texas Roadhouse. And just down the street you will find stores like Walmart, Big Lots, and a grocery store. Very happy with my stay at this Courtyard and certainly would stay here again the next time I'm in the area. read more

As a Marriott Platinum, I spend a lot of nights in hotels. This is a great recently remodeled Courtyard in an ideal location in Lima. There is a Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, and Cracker Barrel within walking distance. Everything was clean and nice. The bathroom had a glass shower. Internet speeds were good. TV channels were great. The bed was nice. And the halls were quiet at night. I have stayed at the Hampton Inn next door several times, which is also nice. Between the two properties, I would honestly say the Courtyard is the better option because of the newly updated interior. There is also plenty of free parking! I would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a hotel in Lima. read more

This is not my first trip to Lima, I stayed here at the courtyard previously two years ago it was a great experience rooms and staff are great!. On this trip to visit my daughter I once again stayed at the Courtyard. I have personally physically inspected other major named hotels in the area, none of which maintain the level of cleanliness or customer service of the Lima Courtyard! The general manager Tia and her staff want to assure your stay is a first class experience! I will stay here on all my future visits and always enjoy the close proximity to everything ! The hotel is comfortable and clean. However, there is an employee there that is rude and offensive. There was minor confusion about my son's bill, his wife was understandably upset. The guy that worked at the front counter told my son, "You might want to get your woman under control." Having to stay a few days and who knew Lima has this wonderful hotel. Very clean, staff was super friendly and the accommodations for our fur baby were perfect! The breakfast was great and the bar was a nice little nook to hang out at. I would highly recommend staying here if it was for a long stay or for a quick night. read more

I had a reservation for a suite because our son is attending school here, I tried to get a late check-in however, the person making the reservation stated that they could not save the spot after 6pm? So we though we would stop half way to Ohio however, we were making great time so we decided to drive strait through. we did get to the hotel around 10ish, we gladly took a regular room as our room was not scheduled till the next day. The next day when we were supposed to get into the suite, we were told that the person in that room is exercising their right to add another day because of their membership. Marriot does not take in consideration of reservations only memberships! we were told that we cannot have that room even though it was reserved. We were told that we can either stay in the single room we had or we could leave!!! Based on these actions I have cancelled events at a Marriot that were scheduled for the end of our fiscal year, i am not going to take a chance of reserving space of one of our directors just to have Marriott kick him out of a room... You lost a customer Marriot but by your actions, it doesn't seem like it matters to them. Make reservations with Marriot at your own risk. read more

YES!! this place is great, especially considering the other choices in Lima. Makes even the thought of going back there (yes, i'm headed back there soon) bearable. Other than the fact that the rooms, are nice, spotless and comfortable, you can get Starbucks coffee and sandwiches and drinks downstairs, the parking is plentiful and its' walking distance to most of the better place to eat when you're in the area. The first room we checked into had hairs in the bathroom so we called and asked for another room . We were immediately given another room which was ok. Some of The towels were not clean so we didn't use those ...But it did make me feel a little uncomfortable... Other than that it was ok. read more

Stayed here for a night while in from out of town. I've never been to the Lima area before. Overall not very impressed with the surroundings, but the hotel itself was nice. We had 2 infants with us, so we requested bottom floor & 2 pack-n-plays. They were able to provide us with both. They don't have pack-n-play sheets, but they do give you flat sheets to put in the bottom. The room looked as though it had newer carpet. It was clean. Breakfast isn't included, but you can pay extra for it. My husband & I just went to McDonald's instead because it was cheaper & right in front of the hotel. Overall pretty satisfied with our stay. read more

Rooms are clean and nice. they have a "Starbucks", with the menu and some food but the food was not good. Got a croissant and oatmeal, both of which were gross. The oatmeal was bland and flavorless even with the brown sugar walnuts and the croissant was dry and flavorless too. read more

I have always loved Marriott's. This location is closer to many food chains and other motels. They have plenty of parking. The room was clean and I loved everything about the room. The coffee they have in the room (regular and decaf) both awesome. Since i was checking-in late, they gave me few minutes more to check out from the place. Cons : No complimentary breakfast. Also the first desk can be more customer friendly. For check-out I had to wait for 15 min because the attendant was having some casual phone conversation and neglected to acknowledge me. He could have told me that he will help me after the call, but he decided to just ignore my presence. Later when I started to look out for other people to help me out, he decided to put the phone on hold and helped me with my checkout process. read more

Very nice hotel with one exception.... Internet connect has consistently been very poor on each of my stays. I've stayed 3 times for at least 20 days in the last three months. I'm a business traveler so being able to have decent connections allow me to spend less time working. This trip I had to go down the street to Panera for a connection. Other than that one beef, very very nice place. I may try Hampton on my next stay in town. read more

OMG! If you are travelling through Lima, OH or staying here on business, you should consider this the creme de la creme! EVERYTHING works better in this hotel. Hampton Inn...yeah, I was a fan...but in comparison, this place beats it hands down. Very trendy Asian decor in my room, 32" LCD, Pull out sofa, refrigerator, granite countertops in the bathroom, and appointments that make me feel as though I'm in a Sheraton in Asia instead of the plot of land behind the cracker barrel! The lobby--immaculate, the staff--super friendly, cafe is limited but serves adult beverages of choice and what they have is quality. I'm never looking back to the Hampton Inn--my frequent hilton honors points be damned...I'm signing up for Marriott rewards, but this hotel is its OWN reward. Well, if you have to stay in Lima, OH, then this is it. Right off the interstate and It's fairly new and more importantly clean. Considering some of the places these days, this Courtyard is immaculate. It's has a small cafe, where you can get sandwiches and grab n go stuff. There are the typical chain restaurants very close by if needed. The lobby is nice and so are the rooms. I would stay here again...if I have to come to Lima again. read more

Stayed at the Marriott for five days for a work trip. During my stay I was really impressed with the cleanliness, friendliness of the staff, and layout of the hotel. The lobby is a great hangout area with TVs, coffee, and a mini bar; the design is perfect. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Our room was very nice, clean, nicely decorated and large. I would have rated our stay 5 stars, but the restaurant didn't have much of a choice and only mediocre food. I'd rather walk across the street and pay more at Applebee's for a good meal and then have a free breakfast at the hotel which I feel we paid for with price of the room! read more
