Clean. Very nice for a Motel 6. That said...you can always count on a very firm mattress with substandard pillows. Only real complaint was the shower head needed to be cleaned or replaced. We had an overall good experience staying here. It was Fourth of July week and guests were drunk and loud, rooms were echoing every little sound, from footsteps, to laughing, toilets flushing, drunken falls and the like. It eventually stopped. The staff were friendly, the room and bed were nice. This is the nicest room I've experienced at a Motel 6. I think if it wasn't for being the 4th, it would have been a great stay. If passing through we would stay here again. Parking lot is well lit, and there is areas for parking semi's, trailers, and moving vehicles. Pets are welcome. Rooms are clean. Newly opened, clean and fairly priced. As of March 2017, this is a brand new Motel 6. From the outside, the parking lot is spacious it's a very modern looking Motel 6 compared to some of their other remodels. (This Poplar Bluff location had a blue themed room, not orange) Like Motel 6s, there's coffee, but no hot breakfast. However, in the lounge area downstairs, there were several vending machines, including ones with various sandwiches. This provides many options for anyone who may be on a long trip and wants a bite to eat after a long day of driving. The room was modern, clean and comfortable, albeit a bit on the small side. The bed pillows were fluffy and on the larger side. There was a flat screen TV near the bed and a small fridge as well. My only real complaint was that the shower towels were very tiny and coarse. I understand that budget motels will use smaller towels to cut costs, but these could barely wrap around my 30-inch waist. Overall, given the cost, it was worth it to stay here, as it was the cheapest motel in the Poplar Bluff area. read more

Best of the lot! We travel with a large dog which is not welcome in many motels so we stay at Motel 6 a lot. This one is clean friendly and convenient. Can't give it 5 stars because it lacks so many amenities but if you want someplace clean and quiet this is the place. read more

I'm a manager for a media company, and needed to book a place to stay for one of our videographers to shoot a wedding. We use a company card that the videographer is unable to take with him, so we're used to having to fill out credit card authorization forms. Working with Harley on this was simple - she was very friendly and accommodating. However, after faxing the forms back to the hotel there was a shift change. I called this Motel 6 to make sure they had received everything they needed so that our videographer could stay in the room we had booked for him, but the man who answered the phone was very rude and crass to me. I asked if he had received the needed forms and he said "Yeah, they were here when I started my shift." I said great, just making sure you have everything you need so our guy can stay without problems? He responded simply with "Yeah." I could get passed this except, after the whole process of having the forms sent to us, filling them out, making copies of ID's and credit cards, and faxing them back, our videographer shows up after shooting a wedding to hear that he can't stay without having the card with him (which is EXACTLY what the forms were for!), and that he has 5 min to pay for a room because he's about to lock the door - forcing our guy to pay for it HIMSELF. We did everything we could to follow procedure, but instead were treated very unprofessionally. This employee's name was Pleasant, which is the most ironic thing I've ever heard. This hotel is new, modern, clean and has vending machines that takes credit cards/ Apple Pay. It's very basic. This hotel is great for those individuals who are passing by and require little things. This hotel DOES have 4 clean towels, flat screen tv, king size bed, table, mini empty refrigerator, standing shower, clean bathroom and immediate highway Access . No carpeting which is great. However, this hotel does NOT have: breakfast, a do not disturb sign, hotel complimentary toiletries, stocked fridge, closet, iron board, iron , and hangers. The only downfall is that the housekeeping staff does knock starting at 8:30AM (we heard them in the hallways) wondering if they could come in to clean. Even though check out is at 11 AM, it's sort of hard to sleep in when the hotel doesn't provide a do not disturb sign. Overall, great, basic hotel as we stayed here for two nights. This motel is probably the most attractive Motel 6 I've ever stayed at. The room was gorgeous, the TV was big, and the bathroom sparkled. It was very affordable and the service was fast and friendly. My only complaint is that they have the absolute hardest beds I've ever slept on. It was like a block of concrete. read more

This place was awesome. I'm usually a little leery of Motel 6. But this one made me a believer. Very cool amenities. Few hotels really think about the modern traveler. In these rooms, there were many outlets and comfortable furniture. Bathrooms were clean and had a shower! The only reason I didn't give it a five, was because the Wi-Fi was very poor. read more

1. The shower drained onto the bathroom floor where it remained, the tile was laid incorrectly. It could not go down the RAISED floor drain. It remained standing most of the length of the whole bathroom. We were fearful of standing in the water while drying our hair. My other half spent a great deal of time attempting to direct the water down the raised floor drain pipe with her foot. The front KNEW that the room did not drain and did not advise us 2. The shower wall was built 1/4" to wide and the curtain rod could not stay up, 3. The rooms floors appear to have not been mopped for a long time. When wiped with damp cloth (shown to Ms Johnson, Sup) the cloth was dirt dark brown. 4. Neighbor snores came thru your 3/8 non insulated walls. 5. Hanging 3 items on each side of TV, was this design a joke on us? 6. Uncomfortable to seat 2 around your table, the mini fridge under the table was in the way. 7. Front desk was very nice and engaging... one positive for you. 8. Light block out drapes sized 4 inches to narrow, allowed light to come in. 9. No where to store clothes or items... forcing us to live out of our luggage. 10. The room had no images or decor, it was cold and uninviting. read more

The rooms and hotel are very clean and new. My only complaint is no COFFEE !!!! I was told due to a water main break so it wasn't safe. Why weren't we told of this at check in, and not to drink the water. No sign posted either. Was it to much to go to dollar general across the street for bottled water for the guest. read more

We got here late one night. I'd definitely recommend jumping on Expedia or whatever other hotel website and booking a room because it was $20 cheaper than what they were quoting us at the desk. And it took less than 1 minute for it to load and be in the Motel 6 computer/reservations. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Very basic hotel but hard to beat for $58. Nice wood floors in the room. Beds and pillows were good. Great location right off the highway since we were just traveling through. read more

Motel 6 in Poplar Bluff, MO, was pleasant. We came in for a women's conference and we had 6 rooms. Each one of us loved our rooms and the great hospitality. The showers were nice and the televisions are great size. Diana & Thomas were a pleasure. It's very convenient to many places to eat, shop, and her gas. I would love to come back and stay longer. They do not have a continental breakfast only coffee. read more

This hotel is clean! The room we stayed in has a modern look, like the photo at the top of this Yelp page. The soundproofing seems good enough. We were next to the room with the ice machine, and we could not hear it or the people in the other rooms. We booked through and online service (Orbitz), for the wrong day. The lady at the front desk changed the reservation (already paid for) with no hassle. There is no pool, and no breakfast, so is is certainly far from being a luxury hotel. For what it is, a Motel 6, they do a great job. The wifi worked. There was a table with a soft seat in the room, with an outlet close by to plug in computer. There was ample hot water in the morning for shower. read more

Great price. Rooms are small and The walls are thin. They allow pets. So when I say the walls are thin then you know what I didn't like. They didn't do a very good job clean the rooms everyday. I was there 8 nights and they never swept the floors. The staff was very nice and friendly read more

I stayed at this motel 6 from may 1st - may 4th. On the date of the fourth we returned to our hotel room after spending the day away from the hotel we discovered that the fridge had been leaking and covered the entire floor and soaked into our luggage ruining our clothes and damaging our suitcase. We informed the front office of the issue and requested a new room and they told us that no rooms were available and sent someone to clean the water off the floor in the room. After the staff member soaked up all the water with our rooms towels while we waited in the hotel lobby the fridge continued leaking. After informing the front desk that it was continuing to leak and that my giirlfriend was suffering from a broken toe and could no longer stand in hallway, the front desk employee informed us that there was nothing else he could do to help us and that no other rooms were available. We opted to stay at the comfort suites across the street where we checked in and had a great stay and had no issues with leaking or our property being damaged. I emailed the hotel and have received no replies about our damaged property or a refund for our last night. read more
